We went to Spring for my daughter's birthday. My husband and I split a salad filled with fresh peaches despite a difficult Georgia peach season. As pecans are an issue for my husband, they served them on the side. My daughter and her boyfriend split the steak tartare, an excellent tasty choice, well seasoned and marinated. Snapper, flat iron steak and the pork loin were our choice of entrees. Everyone was quite pleased with these. I brought an ice cream cake from "outside", a long standing tradition for my daughter. And though I did not arrange this in advance, the servers were as nice as they could be to see if they had room in their freezer. They did explain that there would be a cutting fee (very reasonable) They were terrific putting my candles on the cake and serving it as the restaurant sang happy birthday. This was our second time at Spring and my daughter's 4th or 5th. Service and food have been terrific and so nice to have a great restaurant so close to home. Only suggest you try on weekday when it is not as noisy., as Saturday evening is very busy. These servers are genuinely interested in seeing that you enjoy your meal!
Great experience as always at Spring. Menu is thoughtful. Ingredients are splendid. Execution is flawless from starters to dessert. A place to eat slowly and taste carefully. If that's not your thing, then this is not likely your fit. A real gem in Marietta for those who love food and respect the art of it's preparation. Two of our party just returned from Paris and their comment was "as good a meal as any we had in Paris".
Great, fresh and seasonal food at this darling eatery. Can't wait to go back. Met creative chef, brian and wife, and both were very nice. Waitress Claire was attentive and excellent. The Marietta Square is a fun, beautiful nightime destination!
Wonderful restaurant. Delicious food, attentive staff, fair prices. Spring is a winner!
First time last night, will definitely return. Skirt steak was amazing. The vegetables were fresh, correctly prepared, and served warm. I don't appreciate my hot food served at room temperature.
Spring is a great place to have an exceptional dining experience. The food is atypical and wonderful. Alton Brown from the Food channel was there having a meal, so enough said.
Amazing once again! Very small menu but each dish is thoughtfully prepared and presented beautifully. Great compact wine list and all aspects of the restaurant are an amazing value. One of my top 5 BEST meals in a while and continue to share this gem with other foodies I know. Will continue to visit as the menu changes seasonally to showcase the freshest and best available to the chef.
I was intrigued by the great reviews I had been seeing and by the awards they've received for such a young restaurant. It did not disappoint. While they only serve beer/wine/champagne, the choices were impressive. The menu is very limited and changes frequently in true farm-to-table fashion but our selections were outstanding! The peach salad ... I would go back just for that. It was one of the best salads I've ever had. The red snapper was cooked to perfection and paired with a delicious medley of delicate vegetables. Lindsey treated us like family and made sure we were well taken care of. I look forward to my next visit to see what surprises may await.
First, I have to mention I have been to Spring several times and the menu changes often. The menu usually features four appetizers, four mains, and four desserts; but, there is almost always one meal on the menu that normally stands out. This time, there was nothing on the menu that really made me think, "I REALLY want this!" There were six in our party and we were all a little disappointed in what we saw on the menu; so we decided to try everything. I am so glad we did. Not only was each dish extraordinary, but it was hard for the six of us to decide which dish was the best among the many we tried. Every single main, whether pork, fish, beef, or vegetarian was amazing. The textures, the flavors, the presentations...all exceptional. Two in our party came up from Decatur and they have a habit of rightfully boasting about the restaurants in their part of the city. Both, without hesitation said Spring gave them the best meals they have ever had in the Atlanta area. This place continues to amaze and delight.
Fantastic! Every course we ate we wanted to lick our plates!!
Great little restaurant and will definitely come back. Food and service is top notch. Only one nit - A/C seemed to struggle cooling the dining room.
Spring is our favorite restaurant in the Marietta area. We have dined there 5 times and each time the food has been superb. If you like good food prepared with great ingredients and in a creative way, this is the place to go. The menu is limited but since everything is delicious, that doesn't matter. We LOVE Spring!
This is our third visit to Spring and we have loved everything they have offered. The menu changes almost daily so we have had 3 different experiences. The menu is small so I would recommend checking website before going. Highly recommend Spring!
The food never disappoints! It gets better every time I go.
We like to consider ourselves foodies - wanting something that we wouldn't necessarily cook at home. We wanted a place located between East Cobb, Kennesaw & Midtown to celebrate June birthdays and found Spring near the Marietta square. It was excellent, from the sourdough bread with butter and salt to the appetizers, (asparagus soup, beef tartar, peach salad & chicken liver pate), the main course (duck, vegetarian option & the flat iron steak) and finally dessert - it was all wonderful! We will return!
Excellent food, locally sourced. It is cooked and prepared with experience, which is a quality that is often lacking in suburban restaurants. This is metropolitan quality restaurant in Marietta.
Another wonderful dining experience! The chicken liver pate was divine and the red snapper was phenomenal! Our favorite dining spot hands down! Thank you Brian and Kerri!
Fabulous flavor, such wonderful choices for each course. Wonderful service in a very interesting building !
Lovely delicious dinner with fabulous French rose. Everyone loved their meal (steak and fish). All perfectly prepared. Bread (homemade) is outstanding.
Small menu but features local food and changes weekly. Delicious
It was delicious!! Server was fantastic as well. Would highly recommend!!
Beautiful fish entree. Both of us had it and were so glad we did.
Great food, great service. Have not had such good meal out in a restaurant for awhile. Very happy to see such a gem in our town.
The food is excellent. Extremely small menu though. 4 choices. That's it. Same goes with appetizers and desserts. But delicious. Portions on the smaller side. Not complaining. I was full. The restaurant is very small and very noisy. A little pricey. You won't regret the food though.
A gem of a restaurant with a limited menu. Everything we ordered was superbly prepared and presented. The server, Claire, was well prepared and informative. The bottle of Rose we ordered was half price because it was before 6pm. Such a deal! If I lived near by I would go back in a New York minute.
Just spectacular! We have been several times and tried almost everything on the menu. One of the few places where every thing was near perfect. One of the best steak tartare I've had and don't miss the duck or gnocchi! And the sour dough bread they bake daily will be in your dreams! But seriously, you just can't go wrong! Ask for Lindsey! She's fantastic...knowledgeable and personable!
Small but enticing menu. Delicious food in warm surroundings. Staff is very helpful and attentive.
Food was very, very good. Portion size was perfect. Limited menu was refreshing.
Great food. Small location, portions are a bit on the small side but excellent.
Finally, another good restaurant in Marietta! (Butcher the Baker has had to go it alone lo these many years LOL). The menu is carefully curated and literally every bite was spectacular. Excellent ingredients expertly prepared, thoughtfully plated and efficiently served. At this writing (May 2017) there is no liquor license yet but the beer and wine list is well chosen. The place is in the former location of Cafe Crepe, right on the train tracks in a historic building with pretty lethargic air conditioning. If you like it super chilly wait until summer is over. Also, the place is pretty compact (I think max capacity would be like 40 people) so this isn't a great spot for a huge crowd. I'd say do date night, double date night or a GNO with four girls tops. It is fairly pricey by Marietta standards, which I wholeheartedly support. Having lived in Marietta for nearly 20 years I can predict there will be some locals who will whinge about a fairly high price tag for fairly modest sized portions and to them I say: Get Thee To Golden Corral. There is also no separate kids' menu so if your picky precious must have chicken fingers or they will starve to death, join the Golden Corral crowd. One more note, Marietta is still a small town despite its growth and we all tend to know each other so chances are when you dine there three or four other tables will be populated by people who are friends and they'll all stand in the middle of the room chit chatting because OMG it's been like 15 minutes since we last saw each other, at the Whitlock Ave Kroger or something, so we have lots catch up on! This happened when my husband and I dined there the other night and ran into a bunch of friends from church. I could tell the other diners were like STFU so I sat down - but I could see this happening most any time. Overall this is a tremendous addition to the heretofore meager Marietta dining scene and I cannot wait to return (and see all my friends!)
One of my best meals of the year. As good as my favorite Bay Area restaurants. The interior was well done and thoughtfully sparse. The focus is on the food as it should be. Service was very tuned in and proactive. Suggestions were spot on. The presentation was beautiful but not fussy. The flavor combinations were very well done. Atlanta ,you guys have a gem here to support.
Delicious! Great atmosphere! Will definitely be back!
Food is good. Opportunity to vary menu.
This is our second time going to Spring and it did not disappoint. This is without a doubt the best restaurant on the Marietta Square and one of the best in all of metro Atlanta for sure. Food is cooked perfectly and the ingredients are combined together to make one of the best meal experiences around.
My husband, adult daughter and I went to celebrate Mother's Day and we had a fabulous experience. Food and service were great. The menu is seasonal and fresh and all of our appetizers, entrees and desserts were phenomenal. It's very exciting to have high caliber restaurants in our area. We will be back!
Spring was awesome. Fresh, unique, and exquisitely prepared. I can't wait to go back. The wine list was limited and superbly selected. We enjoyed the liver pate, fresh flounder, duck, and the chocolate dessert.
Service was great, and food was prepared really well. We liked how they combined colors, flavors and textures in all the dishes.
Great experience at Spring this past weekend. Our first visit .We will definitely be going back for more expertly prepared food and great service.
Freaking awesome. Finally good food in the square.
