It was nothing inspiring. We went for a brunch on a Saturday, it was very quiet and empty.
The hostess wasn't smiling and didn't greet us, she was very low energy, which made it seem as if she didn't want to be there.
The kale salad was good, the red wine list was a very limited selection.
Since it was in a hotel the restroom was shared with the hotel.
Restaurant was empty and freezing cold. All 8 people complained repeatedly to no avail. We were one of two tables in the restaurant and our food took over an hour to come out. Then they forgot one persons dinner? Food quality was good but was unimpressed for the price. Wouldn’t go back ever and would not recommend.
I was mildly devastated when KOI left the same location. I tried Spring and Varick soon after it opened. The food is terrific. Been there half a dozen times, and each guest I've brought in has felt the same.
Some of the best prepared Brussels sprouts I've ever had. Try the Beet falafel. Sorry other menu items, this is now my go to meal.
My only concern is the restaurant is alarmingly empty during the lunch hour, during the week. I pray they stay open.
Food delicious. It was pretty empty in there, which was odd, though it meant that the service was good!
Arrived and restaurant was dead and ininviting. Title them we were on a hurry for a show. Waited long enough for them to cook our food before they came back to say they didn’t have the one dish that sounded good on the menu. The manager handled it nicely afterwards but bad that the wait staff don’t know what food on the menu is not available and then took so long to let us know. Restaurant wasn’t inviting in any way. Would not recommend
Stayed at The Dominick hotel and had a fabulous dining experience at Spring and Varick! Food was outstanding, service was professional yet light and friendly. Shout out to our servers, Luciano and Alajendro! Along with the manager stopping by for a quick

Food was awful. Restaurant was empty at dinner hour - never a good sign. Steak was inedible - too salty and tough. Salad was over salted. Burger was ok. I’d never go back. There are better choices all around this nabe. Spend your money elsewhere.
The food was different and really really good - the beet ravioli was outstanding! Great ambience too. Very enjoyable experience.

this is the second time I've had breakfast here, and I don't think I'll go back for that meal again. They are way understaffed in the morning. Food is fine--not outstanding but good-- but service can lag-- the first time I gave up on ever getting a simple refill on my coffee-- and I drink it black. This time I waited over 5 minutes just to have someone notice me to seat me.. and I had a reservation. The service was just okay... but again, lots of handwaving required to get anything once the food was served.
I've had lunch there once, and the service was fine, and food was very good. They clearly have more waitstaff on in the middle of the day. Also beware as they add tip on before you get the check.

Wonderful food, service and ambience. Our waiter was very friendly and gave impeccable service. The brunch menu was very good and the breakfast was delicious. I had the scrambled eggs with chicken apple sausage and fruit and it was excellent. My husband had the same. We will definitely be going back.
The Charred Octopus appetizer wa excellent, though the octopus portion was not very generous. The Sqid Ink Linguini with king crab was delicious as was the Black Garlic Salmon.
food was excellent but service was unacceptable- cork in a glass of wine, waiter was irritated that he had to replace, and must have just taken the cork out since the wine was a very small serving.
also at 6:30 at night the bathrooms didn't have toilet paper in them
We went for Sunday brunch. The food was absolutely delicious. My husband had a fantastic cocktail and I had the homemade lemonade which I highly recommend. The egg dishes--the pork belly hash and the eggs benedict (with avocado) were prepared perfectly and were perfectly satisfying. We also tried the matcha green tea pancakes. Fantastic menu item. It was quite a serving but a wonderful dish nonetheless. Service was lovely and attentive. I highly recommend Spring & Varick for brunch and I would definitely go back for brunch or dinner.

Food was very good. Very disappointed about value. I had no problem paying $30 for food but $10 for apple juice or a water bottle seemed very excessive.
Amazing food! We had the cauliflower steak, burger, beet ravioli and cauliflower rolls. Everything was incredible and perfectly prepared, and the staff was amazing! Go with the staff recommendations - they have a great selection.
Didn't realize this was Trump property--I wouldn't have gone! Pity because the restaurant was completely empty and the food and service was otherwise good.

Service at Spring & Varick was outstanding! They created a wonderful atmosphere for my date and I. Food was delivered quickly, and presentation was stunning. Perfect for a fancy date or a simply delicious meal!
Squid ink pasta. . superb. Service was attentive to detail and able to anticipate needs before having to ask. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about menu but not overly attentive. 12/10 would recommend
SO allow me to start with the service. From the welcoming smile of the host to the attentive servers I felt as if I was in a home away from home. The paintings placed around the restaurant gave such a calm but funky energy i was truly intrigued. Me being a Vegetarian usually makes it hard for me to find a tasteful lunch, something with a less of a Crunch if you know what I mean. Starting with the Edamame Falafel. Amazing and the sumac yogurt was an amazing add on to the dish 👌🏻. Now The Beet Quinoa Pita, to die for. It had my favorite, feta. My obsession is so crazy that i feel it Will give almost anything I eat with it 5 Starts ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. My lunch was unbelievable. Thumbs up to the chef, staff and management for running such a clean and polished environment. I definitely have to come again.
I was so pleasantly surprised by my lunch outing last week and happily returned again this week thanks to the great food and service. Of particular note was the attention of Massiel Mendoza, Food and Beverage Manager. She was extremely friendly and attentive and made our visit extra special! I look forward to returning for a Happy Hour soon.
Restaurant was well decorated with good music that was not too loud. We were there early so it wasn't too crowded.....it did have two birthdays come in around 10 on a Friday. The Steak was good, burger looked good (didn't have), seafood pasta - no complaints, and affogado desert - tasty. I wouldn't get the Mushroom ragout side and was Meh about the Mac n cheese.
The restaurant was very conveniently located to an event we attended. We were surprised that there were not more people there on a Thursday night. We had an excellent meal, excellent and timely service and it was exactly what we were looking for.

We really enjoyed our dinner here tonight and live nearby. The tuna tartar was so flavorful and fresh. The burger was incredible, rich and robust. Brussels sprouts were also delicious!
The service was great and friendly and food delicious. Been twice now. Recommend the cauliflowers appetizer and salmon main course. Chef was accommodating to my gluten free friend also.
Great food but totally overpriced. Waitstaff was friendly and waited on us just fine but didn’t know the menu. For the money (our average check was over $100/pp) there are much better values in the neighborhood with as good or better food.
The scallop was nicely done but not too memorable. I am a huge fan of squid ink pasta but the squid ink pasta there was so bad that it's actually memorable.
Came for a business lunch but look forward to coming back for a proper dinner. Heard there will be a Chefs tasting menu, which I love.
