   This was our second time at Spring & Porter. The first time was last Fall and the noise level was quite unbearable. Since then, they have adjusted the acoustics and it is now quite pleasant. The new bar is really nice! The menu is fairly limited but what they do serve, is excellent! Our party had halibut, steak & scallops...all plentiful and tasteful. I don't mind paying higher prices for excellent meals...and Spring & Porter is the real deal! Will go back.

   Spring & PorterResponded 4 days agoWe are pleased that we were able to make so many renovations within our first year of operations and improve the experience for our guests. Our new custom ceiling was created by a sound engineer, and we couldn't be more thrilled with how it has softened the space. The menu is updated weekly so we can source from our local farms and purveyors allowing us to serve fresh and in-season offerings. Glad that you enjoyed your meal & time with us!    The butter lettuce salad is delicious. Cheese plate very good too. Hope they bring back more pasta dishes..I don’t eat seafood and sometimes, not just at SP, it’s hard to find choices. Otherwise the food is consistently good and service impeccable!

   The overall experience was great! Love the new bar design and the new ceiling noise dampers have made a huge difference in the dining experience. Chef Tommy, his wife Alyssa and all the staff have dialed it in! Can’t wait to go back!

    Outstanding experience at Spring and Porter. They’ve done a fantastic job adding sound proofing to the ceiling and it’s remarkable how well it softened the whole room. I was nervous because there was a huge birthday party in the center of the room, but we weren’t bothered at all. The new bar is a great feature. Oh, the food? Halibut with risotto was delicate and tasty. The beef carpaccio starter is very good. Philip was a perfect server, thoroughly knowledgeable, delightful sense of humor. While we miss a few of the old menu items from the Villa days, we really like the innovative menu that changes frequently. We’ll be back!

    We have always had a great experience here. Took out of town friends here this past weekend and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Our waitress, Heidi was the best. We have had her quite a few times and she is wonderful! Thanx Chef Tommy and the rest of your crew! Keep up the good work.

    I had a lovely meal. The food is delicious, high quality and flavorful. There’s a new bar area which is very nice. Wine selection is excellent. Music would be a nice added feature. Will definitely return!

    Ordered a Knob Creek Manhattan on the rocks with Luxardo cherries. Told waiter I would order something else if they did not have Luxardo cherries and he went to ask bar manager and he was assured they had them. When Manhattan arrived it did not have the promised cherries! Started the Valentines dinner off on wrong foot!

    We had an early seating which helped with noise level. It definitely became noisier by the time we left. Our entree, halibut on risotto, was outstanding but the ceased salad was only ok and the appetizer, octopus, was unappetizing. The octopus wasn’t fully cooked and the veggie base was…different. But my chocolate martini was fabulous and the waitress was attentive and friendly. I would give it another try.

    We had an early reservation and were seated in a row directly next to other couples even though the restaurant was almost empty when we were seated and fairly empty when we all left. It was awkward for all 3 of the couples trying to enjoy dinner with their spouses on Valentine's Day. Food and Service were excellent! Would suggest better spread out seating arrangements for an expensive restaurant.

    Generally we love Spring and Porter but this was an off night. Had a drink at the new bar first and our bartender was terrific. Something was off with our dinner server. He disappeared for very long stretches, and even getting a glass of wine was a challenge. Halfway through dinner, he left the restaurant and someone else took care of us. A very weird night.

    We have dined here several times since the restaurant opened. Each experience has been great. The menu is interesting, the food is fresh, well prepared and the wine list is deep. They have made upgrades to the interior and continue to do so, the environment has improved with each visit. If you are looking to dine at a restaurant with great food, that is locally owned and delivers an authentic upscale food experience, this is it. All of the staff is great, but ask for Heidi’s section, she is first class!

    The dining experience at spring and porter is unmatched anywhere up north. The food, service and drinks were the best we have had. It was a packed house Monday night and the servers did a great job, would highly recommend duck and venison.
