We are a locally owned souther cusine restaurant that sources some of our ingredients we cook with are sourced from local and regional farms, dairies and ranches guided by principles of sustainability when possible. EVERYTHING we make (vegetables, sides, sauces, accompaniments, dressings, soups, fries, etc.) is made FROM SCRATCH. It takes longer to prepare and costs us a lot more to our bottom line, but at the end of the day we fell better knowing that we’re serving the community great food while supporting “the little guy.”
We also have local beers on tap, an extensive wine list and craft cocktails.
Just get the “World Famous Sprig” burger. One of the best burgers I’ve had. The Grit Fries are pretty amazing too!
The restaurant was so loud that we couldn’t hear over the din. We finally stopped trying to have a conversation and ate in silence. The biscuits were hard, the green tomato on my veggie Benedict was hard and white (needed a knife to cut it with difficulty), there wasn’t enough dressing on the po boy, and the mimosas were skimpy. Very disappointing experience for what was supposed to be a special occasion.
Great food! Tons of gluten free options. Excellent cocktails. We loved all the bourbon options. We’ll definitely be back!
First time for brunch at Sprig. It was excellent.
No complaints about food or service. However, the noise level was uncomfortable.
Busy Friday evening. Hostess seated us immediately at a nice 4 top in the rear section. Wait staff attentive all evening without being overbearing. Apps, Entree and Dessert were all just fantastic. Fried oysters with compote was “The Best” Mussels and pot liquor, out of this world. Daily special filet on mashed potatoes w/grilled summer veggies will bring a smile to your face. 2 hours later with leftovers to go, we departed. You’ll not have a bad meal here. Not my first time by any stretch!
Good food and service. Overcoming background noise level required loud talking.
Always great food here. Server was very slow and wasn’t good.
What a delight! So over establishments that thinks ok to wait forever to eat brunch! This lovely gem takes reservations! I walked in the Farm 2 Table menus was diverse and familiar! Excellent coffee! Thoroughly enjoyed my smoked salmon Benedict and grits.
Great service and food. We ate al fresco, which was delightful.
Sprig is an outstanding little spot. Food is always impeccable and service great. I never have to wait. I highly recommend!
The atmosphere was lively, excellent service, great food, & drinks! management made my son’s 21st birthday special! We definitely will return frequently!
We went to Sprig with friends for dinner last Thursday, all four of us loved our choices. We enjoyed it so much that we returned for dinner on Memorial Day to express gratitude to a friend. He had never even heard of it but also loved his lamb stroganoff as well. Great place for a casual evening out!
We always enjoy the food and service here! One of our favorites.
Lovely evening, very good service by nice server. Tasty food & drinks. We shared 2 appetizers, Brussels Sprouts & a dip, all very good.
We enjoyed our Saturday brunch. The server was great. I was a bit surprised that my gluten free waffle was switched to a non-gluten free one. So don’t assume it will be gluten free, request it.
Sprig is what a solid neighborhood restaurant should be. Great bartender, friendly service, very good food. Outdoor patio. AND almost everything is gluten-free. Love it !!
Have only eaten there 2x. Both were exceptional. Can't wait to go back!
Fabulous first experience at Sprig! My husband and I throughly enjoyed the smoked trout dip for our appetizer. He loved his carbanero pasta, and I devoured my grouper tacos! Cannot wait to go back with friends!
Food was good, but we felt rushed through dinner. Service was so-so. Nothing to really rave about. Was decent, but nothing spectacular.
This place used to be a top 5 place in the area. This experience was weaker than normal. The service was really frustrating, I think maybe they were understaffed on Mother's day. We asked for something from whomever came to our table on 3 different occasions and it either didn't come at all or we had to ask someone else again.
In a restaurant, if someone asks for a menu for something.. drinks, desert whatever, they expect you to be back relatively soon. Please don't drop of a menu and then disappear for 20 minutes. If I leave a restaurant, as I did, thinking " I would have spent so much more if someone would have just come to the table" then I think there's a pretty bad failure from the service side. Same thing with the check, just give me enough time to take my card out.. Once we've received our check, a 15 minute wait for you to take it can be very frustrating. I'm sure this was just a one off for Sprig, who's service is normally really great, but with so many options closer to home I don't know when we'll be back.
Felt a little rushed. This was my first visit and I wasn’t aware that there was a tradition from lunch to dinner that required a customer-free environment. Not to mention, the food was not seasoned, but the textures were to perfection. Overall, I enjoyed the ambiance, but it’s not in my top 5.
On Mother’s Day Sprig was not prepared. We were there for a 12:45 pm Brunch reservation and our waitress seemed rushed. No drink specials for Mother’s Day were presented. I had to ask if they had Mimosas. Our biscuits were served with cold hard packaged butter. They were already out of sausage and had to come out to inform of this after we ordered. Then my Eggs Benedict came out with bacon and a drizzle of Hollandaise sauce. No one mentioned that they were also out of ham. I was just disappointed as we’ve been several times and had good service and good food. We’ll likely be back, but not on a holiday.
Sprig is one of those places that is the perfect balance in my opinion. Nice but not too fancy. Energetic but not too loud. Gourmet food without being too weird. I've been there quite a few times and the food, drinks, service have never disappointed me!
upper scale neighborhood joint - good (but pricey) drinks
Mothers Day brunch was excellent. Delicious variety.
My wife and I had an excellent lunch experience at Sprig, 5/10/2019. The food & service was first class and the bar is impressive for a neighborhood restaurant. (Choice of inside or outside dining.)
We very much enjoyed the shrimp & grits (wife) and the “World Class Sprig Burger” (myself), both with excellent salads.
Definitely going back and bringing some friends as this is a hidden gem in the Decatur area.
Would like a healthier menu. Not much available that is low fat or low calorie. Very hard choices for people trying to watch their weight. Cute place, though, nice atmosphere.
The food is always a hit here however the wait staff could stand some training. Salads delivered at the same time as main course, empty dishes and glasses or removed before food and refill drinks arrive. The restaurant was not that busy since it was a Tuesday night and it took almost 30 minutes to get our cocktails!!
Great for date night or get together with friends. Our party of 6 was easily accomidated in a semi private nook by the front window.
Brown Water Society Derby Day tasting hosted by Woodford Reserve. Excellent food and tons of fun!
Great service drinks and overall food. Only complaint I have is there was not enough lamb in my stroganoff. My guest had the same thing and had a ton of meat so I’m guessing there was just a playing issue for me. Will definitely go again.
Love having such an excellent restaurant in our neighborhood!
Our favorite to go for any kind of meal, consistently good, staff is great.
Always great service and food! A bit loud inside but the food more than makes up for the noise.
It took us 90 minutes to get our meal. Good food.
Would recommend for brunch!
Fun atmosphere but quite loud. Not the best location for a quiet chat. Food is very good.
Amazing, as always. Perfect for any occasion! The food is the best in Atlanta, it’s my favorite restaurant by far. Their dessert menu lacks some imagination though, compared to their overall menu’s variety and interest. Overall a wonderful experience.
Food is great. Had grouper tacos as an appetizer, short ribs as an entree... both excellent. Professional, seamless service at the bar. Brough in a bottle of wine...reasonable corkage fee (15.). A little noisy, but unfortunately, that's pretty common these days.
