The worst service. They would not accommodate any minor change in meal. Being vegetarian there was no single dish for me, and they wouldn't even give me a small bowl of kale or any other veggies they had on the menu with other dishes to eat so I didn't starve. Water went unfilled the entire dinner. We ask for our check and left before we even got our dessert (that we paid for) because the service was that bad. Not going back!

We have dined here 4 times and every meal has been excellent. The menu is creative as you would expect for a restaurant at this level. If you are new to the restaurant, the menu might seem difficult to understand the verbiage, but the wait staff is very knowledgeable and can help you with choices. If your are a foodie, this place is a must! Make sure to ask a lot of questions so that you get something you will enjoy.

This was such a pleasant surprise-only my 3rd visit and the tasting menu with wine pairing really hit the spot. Pasta dishes like you've never had and generous sizes-Italian wines were perfect and very proudly poured by the gracious staff. Sat at Chef's counter and enjoyed the very busy Chefs trying to keep up with all the orders. Exceptional experience-very nice people work there. Truly a gem of a restaurant.

We were at the table for 30 minutes before drinks were finally served. We were not in a hurry, luckily, so this was merely concerning and annoying rather than evening-ruining. The food was decent, at times interesting, but not nearly Michelin-star level. It was a Monday night, so it is possible that they have consistency issues, which is a key variable that requires exceptional management to avoid. But I have only been once, so I have no actual data on variance. But on this particular Monday night, the food would 50/50 get honorable mention... and given that the ambiance is very sub-par for the Michelin list, the food has to be fantastic to make up for that. Considering all this, the prices were too high, but not outlandish.

delicious food, most notably the following 2 items:

filo and bufala ricotta “pie”, kabocha squash, pumpkin seed pesto, sesame honey
broccoli and hen of the wood mushroom, aged gouda “budino di pane” and acorn ham

both were creative, tasty, and well executed. we also had chestnut gnocchi and a meatball dish, both of which were delectable.

our table was way too close to the one next to us but unfortunately that is the setup and the only way people on the other side of us could get in and out of their table.

I liked it. My wife thought there were too many flavors in the dishes that “confused her pallet “!

They rushed us through our courses to get the table back. When we asked for a bit of time they said “no sorry, it’s a Chef driven kitchen” whatever that means! But clearly it was not a customer driven experience.

I visited with my daughter during the FOG Art Fair. We showed up a little early and it was awkward as there is literally no place to stand. We went outside but we didn't have enough warm clothing. Came back in to see about a drink while waiting and were seated at the bar. Waiter never got to us. Seated at our table. The overall vibe felt like they wanted to turn the table. Food was generally good. Gnocchi w truffle was great. Smoked fettuccine we ordered w/out bacon for pescetarian but it needed that bacon. Dessert was built around a fried donut that was raw. We couldn't eat it. Mentioned to waiter but didn't get much response. Overall mediocre experience but figure it was a rough night and could have ordered better

For a restaurant that i have frequented regularly since its opening in food and service left lot to be desired. The foot was very salty. The server never checked in on wine we had to ask the host. He had no idea about wine (not his fault). As we were winding up dinner the host and couple of people were right behind our table hovering with a worried look discussing and giving an impression they wanted to turn the table. We took under 1.5 hours for an expensive meal.

This is as nearly a perfect restaurant as one will find. The food is divine and on this night the service was equally spectacular. The menu is incredibly innovative. We three shared four appetizers, the best of which was the burrata. For entrees we had three incredible pasta dishes. Desserts were wonderful. This deserves its Michelin star.

Great meal, small space but the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Only complaint is that we didn’t receive the bread plate, which I heard was very good, but we left full and satisfied.

Went for NYE dinner which I didn't realize was a tasting menu, but wasn't super surprised to find one before me. I would like to go back and try regular menu, as I think the NYE menu was designed more to be a rich and decadent experience, even the "lighter" dishes. The food was tasty and well prepared. I wish the wine pairing had come with more information from the servers. It was fun to see the different moments of service happen while sitting at the chef counter.

It ain't cheap, but the food is so good it's worth it.

The only small downside was the host was not at all friendly and kind of snooty. The server and bus boys, on the other hand, were all very friendly and not at all pretentious.

Food was fantastic, but the tables were placed too close together. It felt very cramped and we were forced to listen to the conversation at the next table the whole time. Our server was great.

What a wonderful experience! We sat at the chef’s counter and were fascinated by the choreography of the kitchen. The food was amazing!! Even things I don’t usually enjoy (parsnips) were delicious!! I wish I had had more room in my stomach so I could eat more.

Spqr started as an authentic restaurant for Roman cuisine, but has morphed into an eclectic, maybe even weird, foodie haven with an extremely exotic menu that is strangely limited. The place is packed, though, so people must appreciate it. In fact the place is overseated, and moving around between the staff is awkward at dinner time. The bar is now a chefs counter and every seat is booked. The staff could not be nicer, though, and are also most professional. Chefs counter seats are good if you want to watch the kitchen, but useless if you want to talk with your dining partners.

Went for a an anniversary dinner with my girlfriend, and we mostly went with recommendations from the staff for each of our plates, which we shared. Every plate was delicious and unique in taste. We both agreed it was certainly one the best meals in our lives, highly recommend.

We were disappointed with the attempt the restaurant is trying to make with the food. It’s as if they are trying to get a Michelin star by overdoing it with the ingredients. The quality of the ingredients was very good but they just didn’t go together. It used to be a simple and delicious neighborhood restaurant , now it’s overpriced and trying too hard.

Friendly service. Delicious home-made pastas with creative sauces. This was the nest pasta we have ever eaten. Anything with pork also delicious. A mistake was made bringing a wrong appetizer, and we were allowed to keep it complimentary. We knew nothing about the Italian wines, and the waiter was so helpful in a way that did not make us feel ignorant. This is a gem of a restaurant.
