We had an excellent experience for dinner and breakfast. We will definitely return.
Wonderful food, solid service. Very much enjoyed the Halibut, looking forward to trying other menu items on our next visit...highly recommend.
Outstanding Food & Service On their beautiful patio.
The waiter was fantastic, the food was good, and the outside dining was beautiful and peaceful!
Spoons is always had outstanding food and great service. I highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you for your great service.
Five of us arrived a bit early- we were seated quickly and made welcome. Our service was excellent and the food and wine were very good. We all ordered desserts in spite of being quite full!
We had a very relaxed, fun dinner.
The prices are WAY too high for the average person in this Valley. We would come every few weeks or @ least once a month if the prices were more reasonable. Lots of people here retired from other states and brought their money w/them. The folks who have to work for a living can't afford these prices on Western Slope wages. Perhaps offer discount coupons if people join up your website.
The food is superb, service is excellent!!!
Very nice setting. Service good
This is one of my favorite restaurants! Amazing mission, great food!
My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Spoons! The food was absolutely superb - I ordered the braised short ribs and my husband ordered their Prime Rib special that hey had. Everything was delicious and our server was quick and very friendly.
Always enjoy Spoons. The food, service and ambiance were perfect!
My first time at Spoons for dinner was a pleasant experience. The food was great. I would suggest that the wait staff be a bit more attentive, as we waited nearly 25 minutes after finishing our meal before we were able to settle the tab and leave.
We celebrated our anniversary with a nice dinner in a quiet restaurant. The service was impeccable and the food was clean and upscale.
We haven't had dinner at this restaurant before and noted there were several couples who seemed to be regulars. Another endorsement--return customers!
We'd love to have dinner here again.
Great meal found while traveling!
Good food served by friendly staff in a relaxing atmosphere.
Excellent restaurant. The good and service were exceptional. Our server did a great job in all aspects. He had some good suggestions for our meal. Which was very good. There were 4 of us and we all raved about the food. We will definitely eat at Spoons evening service.
We've had lunch here before and the food was outstanding. This dinner was not as good as expected. The Halibut was a little dry and the ribs were tasty but a little tough. The service was good.
We went to Spoons to celebrate my husband’s Birthday and had a fabulous meal! Francisco, our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and did a great job making the evening special. Highly recommend!
Quiet, intimate, beautiful location, wonderful menu, beautifully plated, excellent taste. A+++
We had great service and wonderful food! We will return time and time again!
Lovely find not downtown, close to hotels. Is a unique place with nice servers and full day dinning. Chef checks on you and its reasonably priced
One of the best and unique dining venues in the area.
Unable on your website to make a reservation for less than 2 people. I am a widow...headed to your restaurant to celebrate what would have been my sweet husband's 65th b'day. I didn't need another reminder that I was eating alone. Service was S-L-O-W. I was there for two hours. The shrimp on my plate were maybe two inches long...maybe. I ordered a pear salad in addition to my entrée. Waiter never asked me what side I wanted with my dinner. When lobster/shrimp came, they were alone on the plate. I decided I didn't want to ask him to get me a side of asparagus because I knew if I waited for it to arrive my other food would be cold. ** Ambiance? Uh, no. Other patrons talking loudly to be heard from one end of their table to the other...and their table was in center of room. Disappointing evening.
One of my favorite Grand Junction restaurants! I love the mission! And the food never disappoints!
Made a reservation through Open Table but when we arrived at the Spoons they didn't have our reservation. They said they have trouble with Open table connecting to their systems - if that's the case they shouldn't use it. They made room for us but we had to wait 35 min after our reservation time for a table to open. Once we got seated it took another 20 min for our server to help us. The staff were very apologetic throughout the evening, and once our server acknowledged us she was great. Food was delicious. Given the long wait time I was surprised the restaurant didn't offer us a discount or a dessert on the house.
Really enjoyed our dinner at Spoons. Will go again when in GJ. May be the best food in town for a very reasonable price. Prime Rib (Thurs-Sat) is execellent.
This is a hidden gem. The people and service -outstanding. Food prices are very reasonable and the food arrives hot. They serve wine from a local winery and the wine is excellent for the price.
Such good food for such a reasonable price, highly recommended
Awesome food as always and great service. Only complaint is waited almost an hour for our food..
We had dinner here. Everything was great. We sat outdoors so the young kids with our party could play. I had the Oscar style filet and my daughter had the salmon. Both were amazing. The two others had the prime rib special but it was late & the pieces were over cooked. The waitress apologized for not being notified that all that was left was medium well & quickly replaced the meat with steaks. They gave us complimentary dessert for the mix up. Will definitely return.
It was our first time as it was recommended by my kids and we will definitely be back Great food and awesome service.
Small, simple bistro which serves outstanding food. Visit their website and look at their menu and read about their mission. Most of their food is locally sourced. Surroundings might be simple but the dishes are terrific. Nice wine from Two Rivers winery (local). We visit Spoons every time we go through Grand Junction and have never been disappointed.
Outstanding social enterprise with even more impressive food. Stopped by on a whim while passing through GJ for the evening and had a spectacular meal. Best mac and cheese I’ve ever had, and the filet was divine!
The food and service was very nice, however, our initial greeting and experience was POOR. I thought I was helping our experience by making our reservations a few days ahead of our visit. I guess it didn’t make a difference...We had driven 4 1/2 hours to enjoy the Western slope and celebrate friendships and 3 out of the 4 of us were celebrating birthdays. We thought we selected an above average restaurant fitting of our celebrations, but were very disappointed. With our reservation number and name, the hostess (green shirt, dark ponytail, maybe 20’s) was rude in telling we didn’t not have a reservation...not offering to have someone else check for her if she didn’t know what she was doing. Why give out confirmation numbers, if they can’t be found? My husband even received a text to verify. I was extremely embarrassed in front of our long time friends! It made it look like I had NOT made a reservation! We were asked to go sit in the hall while somebody figured it out. Fortunately, our waitress, Alexandra, was sweet, efficient, and acted like she cared that we were there. The prime rib was excellent, as well as the polenta cakes I ordered.
Great for you that the restaurant is so busy, and table are full. But one thing you might consider...not making a man over 6’3 have to squish himself in the corner to eat dinner. It honestly felt like we were being punished! At the very least, your so called welcoming hostess be trained in your operation as well as some social graces!
Wonderful food, atmosphere and service. The outdoor dining area is beautiful. This was my first dinner at spoons. This is a great place for lunch as well. Limited wine list and no beer. The house wine was quite nice.
We sat outside under the vast pergola. The fountain provided pleasant background noise and the grounds were beautifully landscaped. We hadn't known the restaurant benefited the local hospice so that was a nice touch. The menu was interesting and well-prepared from olive tapenade appetizer to halibut in lime beurre. Vegetables tender/crisp. Yes, I'd go again if I found myself in Grand Junction.
Very nice restaurant. I had the Prime Rib perfectly done. Wife had the Spinach Ravioli.
We would come often if we lived in the area. Very good Riesling Wine too.
Good food but took as long to get our dessert as it took to cook our entrees. They were not very busy either. Two waiters were having to wait tables inside and outside on the patio which was not enough.
Great food! Great service! I'll be back...the patio looks divine for cool fall air!
