Spoon & Cellar
We had a great meal Saturday evening with wonderful service.
I went there because menu had 3 things on it on open table. None of those things were on menu when we arrived
Love this restaurant. We have had good luck with parking...and service is wonderful. We have enjoyed the meals. It is not noisy which is good.
Easy. Nice place to eat. Can get in and out with kids.
Very enjoyable experience. Few people there so service was very good. A good manhattan, good house Cabernet. Charcuterie plate very good. French sip good, not best in city. I would go back. But expensive.
We enjoyed the items we had from the brunch menu. The service was excellent. Looking forward to returning for dinner some night.
There was an issue with my New York strip not only did they remake it but they also took it off my bill, excellent customer service!!
Great service, front house manager helped us several times, really on top of things. Excellent salmon. Decor a bit dated but service and food excellent.
The brunch selection is delightful and different. It is not your everyday pancake with salmon brunch selection, which is why I like going. The Veggie Scramble is delicious with the sundried tomatoes mixed in with onions, and cheese. While I am not a fan of their biscuits, the soda taste is too strong for my taste, Chef Carl brought me a sample with the sausage gravy and it does pair well with the sausage gravy.
That is the level of service that makes Spoon and Cellar nice. The staff interacts with you and takes your feedback to enhance your experience.
I am looking forward to the new menu offerings. Hope they bring back the Apple, Prosciutto & Brie Flatbread.
Not the level of service we typically expect from Spoon & Cellar. We will probably not be visiting on Sunday any longer.
We visited Spoon & Cellar before seeing Les Mis at the Aronoff. Everything was outstanding! Amanda, our waitress, was friendly, personable, attentive and extremely knowledgable about food preparation. My Blackened Scallops were perfection. My husband ordered the Seafood Diablo Pasta and said that it had the right amount of spices and heat.
We found Spoon & Cellar through Open Table. It's a gem and we will definitely return.
The food was excellent and our waiter was very friendly and helpful
It was lovely
Great food and cheesecake. Had a wonderful time. Wonderful service.
Overall, nice atmosphere and upscale smile menu. The food was well prepared and flavorful, but plating was lacking. Our waiter took our order, kitchen staff delivered food, bar delivered drinks, and there was no follow up. The guy who bussed the tables and provided water was great, but our table had been cleared for just over twenty minutes before I finally flagged down a different waiter for our check. Our original waiter finally showed up without an apology or explanation, asked if we wanted our check, my guest went to order another drink then thought better of it. The waiter must’ve known there was an issue because he offered free desserts unprovoked. We declined as we had a timeline and avoid sweets. Overall, a mediocre experience, but I’d be willing to return and show grace for a possibility of an off night.
We love this restaurant. It has a little of everything. All our waiters have made great suggestions.
We go before aronoff plays and service is excellent.
James was a great server. Very knowledgeable about the menu and very responsive. Will definitely be making return trips in the future.
The brunch was amazing and the service was too. We will be back.
For brunch we ordered the burger because it sounded awesome. But why ask for what temp to cook the burger to if you still cooked it any way you wanted to? 3 different orders of the burger all 3 with different temps requested all 3 were cooked the same way. Medium rare still has pink in the meat!
First time eating here and it did not disappoint. Service was great, fillet was cooked perfectly, and wine was excellent. We will definitely be back.
Went for the first time on Valentine’s Day and my girlfriend and I both really enjoyed it. Food was great, and not too overpriced. James, our server, was very attentive and gave us great service. Very pleased with the overall experience, will definitely go back, and would definitely recommend to friends and family.
Our server was great! Awesome food and service.
We were seated so close to the next table I felt like we were having dinner with them. Definitely not a date night restaurant.
I ordered the Valentine’s Day special. My “medium” filet was much more medium well to well. There was a very small pale pink line throughout, mostly gray throughout though, which made it very dry. I got the filet Oscar style and I was given a very small piece of crab from the knuckle meat, I assumed it would have been leg meat and a bit larger like what was shown in the picture. The crab bisque was watery and I had a large piece of shell in mine. The beer cheese was grainy and underwhelming. The chocolate dessert was not as described on the menu, I was expecting vanilla ice cream with it. It was a basic chocolate dessert you could buy anywhere. I also told my server I did not want the Champaign with my special and he said he’d bring me the chocolate covered strawberries instead. He never did. I was fine with nothing, but with all the other issues it just added to the poor experience. We were with friends and seeing a show. Under different circumstances I would have let the server know about all the issues. I’d expect a similar experience at a basic chain steak house, but not for what they charged here. Next time I’ll spend a bit extra and go to Jeff Ruby’s instead, at least I know my steak will be cooked how I ordered it.
Our food was great and the service was more than expected. Will definitely go back.
Food was excellent waiter top notch. The only thing I thought the Caesar salad was small for the price and it was hot
Katie the waitress was the best and made the whole experience fantastic!
Great night. Great service.
The food special for Valentines Day was excellent. Both steaks were prepared perfectly. Our server was very knowledgeable. We will be returning.
We choose Spoon and Cellar for our Valentine's Day meal, proper to a concert at the nearby Taft Theater. The food was very good and the dining area was comfortable. Our waiter was quite pretentious and couldn't pronounce Sangiovese or charcuterie correctly (not even close), but he was appropriately attentive. The prices are reasonable. I would consider it again.
Steaks were awesome and properly cooked. Sides were less than desirable.
The service was fantastic and the food was overall really good. Our steaks we ordered medium rare & medium might have been slightly over cooked than what we asked for but still very good.
Hidden gem in Cincinnati. Dont be put off by the fact that it is inside a hotel.
Valentines Day before the Concert (Little Big Town)!
Bartenders were phenomenal and let me taste champagne! Love Ashley! Sat down to dinner. Ordered another glass of champs and got the leftover glass from a bottle opened 2 days ago. Called the manager Mike over and WOW! What a super nice experience that was! He not only got my husband a glass of the new champagne but bought us a bottle! If you ask where customer service went..come to Spoon & Cellar! Food was great! He asked for feedback and is going to make changes based on that. I will definitely be back!
Dinner service and food were both outstanding! The Salmon was perfect. Amanda did a fabulous job as our server.
I have been wanting to try Spoon & Cellar and I'm glad I finally did. The food was delicious, the service was amazing, and the environment was clean and well-kept. Our server was very informed on the wine list and provided excellent recommendations. I highly recommend Spoon & Cellar!
We were seated promptly by a very welcoming hostess. Atmosphere was quiet for a Saturday night. We sat in a very cozy booth which we really liked. Our waiter, Nokia, was excellent. Attentive, but not intrusive, just how we like it. Cocktails were excellent. The menu is small and fairly limited. Our apps of the charcuterie and the sesame tuna were delicious. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her seaside diavolo. My chicken picatta was good, but not great. We would return.
We were a party of 3 on a Saturday night with a reservation. We were greeted by a welcoming hostess and seated immediately. Our server was excellent! Every bit of the food was presented and portioned well. The charcuterie board - fantastic, Cellar Caesar - delicious, Prime Cut Filet Mignon - perfection, Seaside Blanco Diavolo - unbelievably great, and the Chocolate Ganache Torte - perfect! I highly recommend Spoon & Cellar and look forward to returning again.
The food was fair, my wife and I dined the Brunch menu and it doesn’t have any pancakes on the menu. Food was fair not enough for the price. Ambience of the restaurant was good, will try dinner next time we’re downtown
Couldn’t be more impressed and happy with the experience, especially the service from the staff.
