Came for the colorado lamb, was WOWWWED!! Bill took extra special care of us, and we had the best romantic dinner with excellent wine pairings. Even a complimentary dessert to top it off. Five stars for sure at resonable price. Thanks!!
Thank you for making our anniversary so special
Perfect in every sense of the word.
Food was outstanding. We were surprised given the mountain resort location.
Splendido continues to be the best all around restaurant I’ve been to both in the Vail Valley and worldwide. The combination of ambiance, food and professional staff make for a perfect experience.
We had such a great meal at this restaurant. The food was divine and the staff was so delightful. They stopped by our table to visit and make sure everything was okay. This is a fabulous restaurant. Yes, it is pricey, but you get what you pay for!!!!
The Best available.
Food and service were wonderful! Looking forward to going back.
We decided on the tasting menu and were not disappointed. Each of the courses were beautiful presentations and gave us a wide variety of tastes to enjoy. The melon and speck, the duck, and the diver sole (yes, we added it to the tasting menu) were truly memorable. Service (Ogi, sorry about the spelling) was excellent. The carrot cake was also a treat. A first class experience.
Celebrated my birthday at this restaurant! Lovely ambiance, attentive staff, & live classic piano music enhances the mood. The Dover Sole was outstanding!
The food and service were outstanding until I got to the carrot cake. Too dry, no frosting...C-
J. Alexander’s has ‘em beat by a mile on that, at a much more reasonable price!
Fantastic tasting menu.
Exquisite food and ambiance. Excellent service and live music. I recommend smoked trout and soufflé for dessert... delicious.
We are long-time Splendido customers. After David left, the restaurant went through a rough patch. We had three disappointing experiences in a row. But after hearing from others that it has found itself again we decided to try one more time. It was great. The Dover Sole, their signature dish, was fresh tasting and prepared perfectly, not rubbery (yes, that had been a problem). The Halibut was done as well as one can do Halibut with enough of a great sauce to make actually taste like something. The salads were beautiful and dressed well. Didn't have a dessert but they looked great. It's pricey but competitive with the other fancy places in the Valley. We're back in the fold
Splendido continues to shine with their new chef. The ambiance and great service are the same.
Outstanding and very creative food. Entrees (Halibut & lobster) were delicious but not warm much less hot. Just a wonderful meal overall.
The food and service were exception! We dined with our 6 and 8 year olds on the patio and the staff were very accommodating. Our waiter knew the menu very well and made fantastic recommendations.
We love Splendido for special occasions - always appreciate the service and the great food! The piano player is excellent, too!
Tomato tart amazing. Heirloom tomatoes. Corn soup silky and fresh. Lamb cooked to perfection.
Sorry but it was very loud we were hoping to have a quiet elegant dinner but thee food. Was just ok and it was very loud think we will try somewhere else
We saw the sommelier much more than we saw our waiter. Our waiter was rather absent from the dining experience.
The staff, the ambiance, the food, the whole experience...has always been five star. Elegant dining in the beautiful mountain setting where the team knows you and cares about you is a true delight in this fast-paced crazy world. We will remain life-long clients as long Chef Ackerman, Brian Rhoads and Matt are there!
Always a perfect meal with perfect service!
We live in Texas so we are just visiting, but the last time my wife and I had dined at Splendido's was several years ago for my wife's birthday and we were disappointed with the crummy table and my wife's meal was very poor (salmon). We were reluctant to go back but thought we needed to give it another try and we were taking friends out and given it was highly rated and our friends had had a good experience there we decided to give it a go. My wife and I shared an appetizer, which she did not care for. My wife had the Dover Sole and it was very dry. I ordered the beef tenderloin and it was tasty, but I order medium rare and it was more like medium - medium well. We shared the carrot cake for dessert (as none of the options sounded that good) and it was quite dry. Our friends did not complain to us but given we were picking up the tab they likely would not want to complain. It is a beautiful place with great ambiance and a great setting but we will likely not return although we visit here a good bit in summer and fall. The one GREAT aspect was our waiter who's name was Matthew - he was superb!!!
We celebrated our 7 year anniversary at Splendido. The food was good and the wine was nice. We were surprised that they were not better prepared with a specific wine pairing, but we ultimately landed on some nice wine to go with the tasting menu.
Overall we had a very nice experience, however, we were a little taken aback by the lack of diversity in the clientele. Beaver Creek doesn't have a lot of diversity so I suppose this should've have surprised us, but it was a little disappointing that in 2018 you can still go to a restaurant and literally only see white faces. As a society we can do better than this.
Anniversary dinner and had the tasting menu. 75 bucks and fantastic dishes. One of Vail Valleys best
Always a splendid experience!
Refined and relaxed, the food and presentation is always immaculate in execution and the staff is sharp and welcoming.
Loved this little jewel in the mountains of Beaver Creek. This as a must do.
Tasting menu exceeded expectations and was a great value
During our ski trip to Beaver Creek, my husband and I had many fine dining dinner reservations. Based on other TA reviews, decided to make Splendido our choice to celebrate both our 25th anniversary and the last meal of the trip. We had high expectations and this restaurant did not disappoint!
The ambiance was excellent and the food, equally so. Can’t say enough about how beautiful the restaurant was at The Chateau...big roaring fire in the fireplace, beautiful music by the pianist on the grand piano, idyllic mountain views across the restaurant, to name just a few.
Our server was warm and friendly, well versed on the dishes and the specials, had great recommendations, and spaced out all the courses ideally.
Now, for the food...because after all, that’s what it should be about. We had several meals this week where the ambiance and/or experience was great but the food was just good or even mediocre. Not at Splendido! I had to try the Dover Sole and it was delicious! Husband had the elk and he said it was the best dinner he’d had all week. Both dishes were perfectly portioned, looked a bit light but was filling without feeling stuffed. We also tried the lobster pasta appetizer special and this was the only dish that was good versus great. Lobster was tasty but the marinara was pretty plain. We ended with the Lemon dessert and we would highly recommend, it was fantastic! Nothing like we have ever had before...glad we didn’t miss out on this unusual and creative, but refreshing sweet.
It was Easter Sunday. The restaurant was filled to capacity. The service was good. The food was good as well. The noise level was incredibly loud! I understand families go to dinner at an early hour. I just wish that they would pay attention to their children.
Favorite restaurant! It’s spectacular from beginning to end!
Poor, inattentive, unprofessional service. Noise and ambiance like Grand Central Station food court. Food that says “LARGE must mean GOOD!” It doesn’t. And a wine list that says “Only BIG wallets need look.” Pass!
The food we enjoyed was spectacularly prepared. The wait staff, with the exception of our assigned server, were all attentive and respectful. Our server was brash and inattentive to us. We actually preferred that he was more attentive to other tables rather than ours.
Salmon appetizer was the brightest and most tasty bite.
VERY LOUD. Could not hear waiters or each other. So many kids there and it was not the ambiance we expected. Very pricey but we knew that. Food great but the three desserts disappointed. $80 glass of sauterne was delicious. Waitress was very nice and helpful.
The entire staff but particularly our waitress were outstanding. The meal was fantastic. Great celebration of my sons engagement
