Splash pool dining and fun with family
Beat up chairs, loud, crowded and unpleasant.
Cabanas not necessary for a Thursday but it was nice to have. No service so we had to go the bar which was fine since bartender was super friendly and helpful.
WE'VE Omni La Costa. We stay there whenever we're down in SD. My daughter lives nearby as does my sister. My 2 grandsons a surely live to come to the pool when we're staying there. Now, this ti.e when we were there, my husband went up on the "big" water slide and when he came down let me know how run down and dilapidated the stair area and pre slide area was. To add to that, totally unsolicited my 7 yo grandson actually mentioned the exact same thing to my daughter later in the day. La Costa definitly needs to upgrade, repair and revamp the property in many places.
The pool was our favorite part of the vacation. The kids had a blast
We love to come here for our weekend trips. It’s not a long drive from Irvine and it’s fun for me and my daughter. We come here often and always enjoy our time here.
Disappointed that too many “resort pass” were given to locals. Definitely took away from those of us staying at hotel
They need to figure out the food/drinks line. We waiting 30 minutes for two cocktails, only one group of two people in front of us! This is where you make money so you'd think they'd figure it out. Otherwise, love La Costa!
Victor deserves a raise and sets a gold standard for professionalism and client service. We stay at The Ritz Carlton, Waldorf Monarch, and he espouses the valuse of 5 star properties. HOWEVER, the life guards and Pool Check In staff are rude at best. Some of them are quiet and indifferent while others are outrigh aggressive and combative. Specifically with the "insurance policy" of the OMNI and the 48 inch height requirement. Its disgusting how they speak to guests and their complete indifference to making children cry. There is an obvious disconnect in the lack of leadership. Some employees were gracious and focused on client experience while others took acted like they were owners of the resort with attitudes of "Thats too bad - these are the rules" and were more than happy to express that tone orally.
They need to bring back servers. Line is too long to order food.
Victor is the best! Went over the top to make the family happy.
A better variety of food selection for children should be available.
Couldn’t tell you, spent $2,000 for two nights and can’t get a reservation to visit the pool. My boys are bummed!
The only thing that was annoying was older kids were in the pool for younger children playing football keepaway while I was in the pool with our 4 year old teaching her to swim. They should have been in the 5ft pool
