Spirits Bar and Grill @ Old Alcohol Plant
Food was quite good for all four people, but the service left a lot to be desired. It took 20 minutes from the time we ordered our bottle of wine until it was delivered to the table. Once seated at our table we were ignored for an uncomfortable amount of time. Server was pleasant but apparently had too many tables to serve. It was a shame because the food was surprisingly good.
Large portions overlooking the beautiful marina. The sunset was amazing. We'll definitely be back.
We went for the music and next time it'll be for the food as well. Get venue for both.
Overall good food with excellent service. Felt a bit like a ‘hotel’ restaurant ambiance.
We arrived at 12:20 on Sunday for brunch only to be told that it ended at 12 and we could only order from an abbreviated menu of which several items were no longer available. Nowhere on the website did we see that Sunday brunch ended at noon. The seafood items were very good ie. calamari and clam chowder but the salads were tasteless, unappetizing and ordinary. The broccoli cheese soup was curdled and full of shitake mushrooms which we did not like. The dessert menu was out of one item but the tiramisu was excellent. We were one of only 3 parties in the restaurant and now you know why that was probably the case. However, the decor, music and view were excellent.
We enjoyed our time at Spirits Bar & Grill. The Staff were very friendly and provided good service. The appetizers were great and the entrée was very good, but large...……. Thanks!
I would highly recommend this restaurant. The building is a unique part of Jefferson County history. The view across the water is great. There is the best art gallery in Port Hadlock. But we are really there for the food. I thought the eggplant parmesan was one of the best, I had ever eaten. And I have eaten a lot of them over the years. Everyone in our party of five, enjoyed their dinners. This was my second meal at the Old Alcohol Plant and I will keep coming back. Oh and they do have a good selection of live music. Stan

Haven't been up to this place in years. Great location, but a bit chilly in the dining area with the views. The brunch was okay, but rather pricey for what was available. It was great to see & hear Joe Euro playing guitar, though, and that's the main reason we went up there.
Great Sunday brunch with wonderful live music by Joe Euro. Beautiful setting. Tasty brunch buffet and Mimosas were a hit with our group.
good as it gets with music several nights a week. service staff are friendly and know their stuff. reasonably priced for the quality and portions. we have been here several times. great view of the bay and marina.

We went and stayed the night for a date night on the recommendation of a friend, and it was such a nice experience. The cozy feel of the restaurant was a nice touch. We really enjoyed the views! The food was excellent, and we really enjoyed hearing about the farm to table and locality of the foods used

For it being a special occasion, 3 our of 7 of our party we’re celebrating birthdays and this was noted in our reservation.

We love the fresh ingredients from the restaurant’s garden. The scallops are perfectly prepared and delicious. We’ve ordered the scallops twice because they are so amazing but look forward to trying the other menu items on future visits. Love the view of the gardens and boats in the marina.
Our party of 6 had wonderful Prawn and Steak dinners. The vegetables were grown in the on-site garden. Everything was very nice, the people, food and wonderful view of Port Townsend Bay and Hadlock Marina.

Delicious Sunday brunch on a beautiful afternoon in summer. Sat on the terrace and enjoyed ourselves very much. Will come again.

Our server Heidi went above and beyond. She made us great drinks and even made our son a Sunday and sang Happy Birthday all by herself.
Mother’s Day, regular breakfast, not the buffet. Everything was excellent except they were out of three items that we would have ordered.
We had heard the food was hit or miss, so we weren't surprised when the medium-rare ordered ribeye was cooked medium well. The salmon the fellow at the next table had was tough as leather. The fish and chips were good, coleslaw needed something.
I've dined here on a couple occasions. The food is always good. This time, I made a reservation via open table, and stated it was a special occasion for someone celebrating their 85th birthday, and I wanted the best table. When we arrived, no one seemed aware of this, though it didn't really matter because it was practically empty. Still.
Given that it was practically empty, the service was incredibly slow. I ordered a G&T and expected it to be served in a tall narrow glass with a straw, but it was served in an old-fashioned and when I asked about a straw she said they don't have straws because of the plastic. I understand being eco-friendly, but it was very difficult to enjoy an otherwise great G&T without a straw. I don't enjoy ice hitting my face and making it difficult to sip.
Despite these perhaps small issues, I left a handsome tip because that is who I am. The food and drinks (we had champagne, wine and Irish coffees, mine with a splash of Baileys) were all excellent.
One thing I wonder is why none of the local restaurants seem to serve crab. I would like to see that on the menu. Ajax did serve crab on occasion.
We had a group of five for St. Patrick's Day and it was great. Notwithstanding a large crowd the service was great and the special food offerings were tasty and in keeping with the holiday. We also enjoyed the Irish whiskey trio and delicious chocolate mousse.
Very pleased and surprised. This was our first time here and we were unsure what to expect. Fortunately, it was an excellent overall experience. The view out over the marina and bay was gorgeous. The room itself was light and spacious. Wine list was varied and reasonable with some interesting selections. We settled on a very appealing chardonnay which we enjoyed. I ordered the herb crusted pork loin which was cooked exactly the way I had asked. My wife ordered the prosciutto and fontina stuffed chicken which she loved for the use of herbs as well as the wonderfully flavored rice. The service was excellent. Our server friendly, welcoming and attentive. All in all, this was a really enjoyable dinner and we will certainly be back.

Our second visit for dinner. Great food and service both times ! We had almost decided not to try it again since trying it for breakfast was not good at all and same quality as the dinner. Glad we tried again as the dinner experience was wonderful.
We were at a special Valentine's Day pre-fixe dinner. Service was slow although very friendly and helpful. I ordered a filet medium rare with jumbo prawn on top. The steak was well-done and the prawn was raw. Then came the dessert - creme brulee which was frozen. I am not going to go back again.
This venue has seen better days.
The gravlax was disappointing. While the salmon was cured well, there wasn't much of it. The toasted bread points were extremely dry, hard and brittle. With each bite the toast fragmented uncontrollably sending crumbs all over the table.
The steaks were good sized and well prepared.
The bread pudding was generous and tasty.
The service was almost what was expected, although I was a bit put off by the server's use of
the phrase "you guys," as in "Are you guys ready to order?"
I would much prefer that the word "guys" be banished from all servers' vocabulary. A simple "Are you ready to order?" is much preferable.
Great dinner specials. The filet was tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection with excellent sides of potatoes and asparagus. Salads, Soups, Drinks and Desserts were generous. A sub-par Caesar salad was taken off the bill. The kitchen said the dressing was not up to their norm but was served anyway --to our dismay. Service was not as expected for this class of restaurant. Server stated right away that she had been there almost twelve hours then returned for our order and forgot her pencil. No automatic water or bread refills. Dinner was rushed.
BUT ambiance was great. View was great. Would not let these issues deter us from coming back but service should have been better as it was a slow night for the restaurant.

We actually had a table for four and our guests from Chicago absolutely raved about it and in comparison to the "Windy City" the prices were reasonable yet the food was great. also several outstanding vegetarian dishes.
Would love to know what was on the pork loin. The most wonderful spice...cant place it....
We enjoyed a marvelous meal with two other couples on New Year's Eve. Food was great and service was terrific despite it being a very busy night. The crab cake salad was a big hit.

It was a super evening with friends from back east, who raved about the food and ambiance. The service was outstanding and the light guitar music in the background made it a perfect evening. Chef Albert also visited our table. The historic property was all dressed up in its Christmas finery with a beautifully decorated tree in the lobby. I can certainly see why they received FIRST PLACE for their steaks. All three guys really enjoyed them!
I liked my cod but everyone else was disappointed. Prime ribs were over salted cut and then grilled? We guess to warm the cut up? Salmon and scallops had way to much butter. Good beer and wine selections. Look l Ike great cocktails. Room next to dining room is under construction or storage or something and all the lights are on so that what you get to look at. They even had curtains but they were open so you are looking at junk. Anyway, I guess they reopened recently so they are obviously still fine tuning.
