Honestly, I understand the shortage I just wish we knew sooner. We waited Close to an hour for a reservation, then we waited to be served, then we waited for cocktails, that ended up coming 30 min before closing and after we had already eaten all the food and all the dessert. I wish we knew we weren’t going to get cocktails for dinner as we wouldn’t have ordered.
We get there and was forced to wait so long to be seated in an empty lounge. Like why hype it yo that much? We get in it’s freezing with no heaters. Our drinks came in 30 minutes after sitting and halfway through dining our entres our waitress goes oh shoot your drinks I forgot! Then the food, ughg. I am not exaggerating when I say the rib eye was equivalent to a steak you get at ihop. Absolutely atrocious. The filet minon my date had was decent which was good. The Brussels sprouts and fries was also good. Everything just took so long and it didn’t help that it was so cold with no blankets or heaters. I was so happy to leave at the end of it. It was our anniversary and I had such high expectations and was hit by an absolute wall.
All the people that night were so frustrated and disappointed, you should have heard everyone in the valet area waiting for their car and what they were saying about the restaurant. It’s not good for that many people to leave disappointed.
Had reservations for 9:15. Didn’t get sat till after 10. Server took forever to take order, or bring drinks and food. Bad over all experience.
Terrific atmosphere! The staff did a great job of maintaining safety precautions as well. The appetizers I ordered were delicious...I just wish that the portions were a bit more.
It was a nice view, but a long wait. Even with reservations, we waited over an hour to sit down. That was disappointing. The view was amazing.
Why even make reservations if they are still going to make you wait an hour to hour and a half to get in, then another 30 to 45 minutes to even get the waiter to ask if you want drinks.
The food was no better then franchise restaurants nothing to speak of. But they sure make it know that you must reach your 60 Dllrs. Per person before you ask for the bill. So disappointed.
They just opened so they get a lot of grace - lot of things went wrong - but the management was attentive and worked hard to recover!
Food was not worth the ticket price. Service took way to long only thing worth it was the view.
We made a reservation for 7 pm on the first day of reopening, arrived 5 minutes before, and still had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. Food and drinks took 30 minutes to arrive. Every time we ordered drinks, another long wait. The waiter was very friendly, there were tables available, they were just not prepared. Super long waits from start to finish. Our average time in a restaurant us usually an hour but we were there for 3.5 due to to all the waiting. I hope they increase staff, esp bar tenders and waiters!
Had an amazing night out! Everyone enjoyed their food - deffo recommended the mushroom soup & the Hong Kong Mule.
Only issue I had was with the filet mignon - ordered it med rare & it came out pretty burnt. Couldn't even finish it. For $45, was extremely upsetting.
I would have asked for a new one but just to order 2 drinks & our food took well over 2 hours.
Staff was very kind though
Food and view were great! Definitely recommend for a date night!
Had a great time on opening day. Everything was amazing. From the service to the food.
If it wasn’t for Ruben our waiter I would’ve given this place a one overall. They were so unprepared. They had two bartenders for 400 covers. Totally unprofessional
The ambiance was incredible, expensive but fun. 73 floors?!
We are visiting from Corpus Christi, Tx and had dinner for my husband birthday and it’s was absolutely amazing! I have been recommending to everyone I talk to.
Staff was very attentive, the view was killer ! Next time I’m in LA again I will come again.
Great evening above LA to enjoy some great food with friends.
It’s was so nice out there, but heaters wasn’t enough to keep worm, waitress was nice just this is owners thinks not about waiters service. They have to add heaters, everything was nice but because of cold I couldn’t enjoy it
It was nice to get out. First meal out since Covid with no kids. Food was meh for the price. Was hoping for courses with a wine pairing like 71 Above. I get it's more casual of faire. I can see if not Covid would be a nice spot for drinks but would skip the meal.
One of the best rooftop places to hangout!
Awesome place.
Had an amazing dinner will be going back soon
Atmosphere, food and drinks were outstanding. Only negative is that the food portions are a little small. Over all, great place for a date night. Recommend!
Only worth it if you sit by the view overall food was very good service wasn’t that great but the quality of food and drinks make up for the slightly lackluster service, overall great vibes definetly will be back
Celebrated my boss’s bday at the perfect location 🤍 Great customer service, drinks, and views.
They need to turn up the heaters it was cold
Okay spot. Extremely overpriced for the quality. Server was great, but the host didn’t want to accommodate our party because we had 5 people instead of the reserved 4. Completely my mistake! She put us at a super uncomfortable table, that wasn’t met for 5 people. The 7 tables by us that could accommodate our party we’re empty for the entirety of our reservation.... whatever, won’t be back.
Súper lindo el lugar , esta en el piso 73 y se ve toda la ciudad
A good spot to check out the city 73 floors up. Be prepared for multiple security
personnel to approach you no harm or fool just part of the covid rules. If you been to Spire 73 before Covid you will notice the changes.
We absolutely love this restaurant. One of our favorites for sure. The service is top notch and the food are so delicious. The ambience and the views are also fantastic. Must try!!!
This place has really gone down since Covid. For the prices they charge they really need to get their act together.
This restaurant is absolutely amazing. The views from the roof at sundown or at night are unmatched. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable.
If you’re in downtown LA, this is a must goto restaurant.
The views make it worth it! Our server was really nice, she made us feel welcomed. The drinks are good and the food was delicious!
Tuna poke—Delicious. Spire burger—average. With the description, I expected tastier. Rib eye-weird brown sauce not worth the $$. Cust. service-felt forgotten, but when tended to very professional. Ambiance awesome music-great. View amazing. Dress code not enforced. People wearing hoodies and tennis. I would only recommend for the bar, scenery and ambiance and nice pictures.
The view was beautiful as always this was my 3rd time coming. between the wait for table and service once we sat down service was smooth and efficient. It was a group of 5 us food and drinks came out in good time. Did I mention the view was beautiful perfect for groups of friends, family, or love one.
I’m comparing the service to all the surrounding restaurants in the downtown area, and the service is one of the lowest quality I’ve had. I’ve been there twice now, thinking the first day was maybe bad for whatever reason but the second time was actually a lot worse. The servers and hostess are pretty rude, not at all welcoming. In my opinion, all the staff looks very unprofessional, especially the two hostess with hip-length hair down and waving all over the place. Again, these are my personal opinions and also comparing to other “upscale” restaurants in this area. My partner and I asked for 2 Irish mules which is a Moscow mule (ginger beer and vodka) but instead of vodka, I asked for whiskey. The waiter walked to the bartender which was 5 steps away and the bartender scolded him right in front of us saying they didn’t offer that drink and he didn’t know how to make it. To make the waiters life easier, we changed our order to a traditional Moscow mule. I felt so bad and just wanted to get out of there at that point. The second time I booked a table, my family (party of 4) tried to book a separate table on the same night and we asked the hostess if it would possible to accommodate 2 separate tables but close to each other (6feet apart) so we can at least see our family while dining. I even offered to wait if necessary. Not only did they seat us right in front of a huge blue light that blinded all of us all night, but the manager came to talk to us and told us we couldn’t be so close to the party next to us which was still 6 feet apart, and when we told them the hostess sat us this way, he reprimanded his hostess right in front of ALL the guests in the restaurant having dinner. We put down our forks just to look around and hear him screaming at her. There’s so many other details that I’m leaving out because they’re minor but It’s a shame that the service is so bad, both times I went, I left complaining and regretted spending my money there.
Everything was wonderful just our server had no service skills. Everything we asked for he said we don’t have that right now! And I understand that it is not his fault that they are out but there is ways to say things and approach people! Could have been much nicer about it let’s not forget it is not our fault (the client) that you are out of stock on most things. Food was good ambiance was amazing view was breathtaking! My only problem was the server that we had!
The whole experience seemed cheap and kinda ghetto. The service was awful the waiter didn’t even know his basic high end alcohol. The hostess were not dressed well, had a 25$ a person cancellation if u didn’t show up. But that wasn’t really even the problem. The problem was it felt to cheap, like this was in a mall across so cal. For where it’s located and the only bar restaurant in LA that is on a 73 floor view, it better hold up to a much higher standard. The food is all over the place and extremely over priced for the quality. I got the hummus platter at 28$. Everything on there taste like it was bought at a Ralph’s super market.
This spot is a must go to for anyone traveling to LA. Although we visited during Covid, our visit was spectacular! Amazing customer service and you can taste the quality in both their food and drinks.
Great food and drinks very welcoming safe clean staff most definitely can’t wait to go back rooftop has plenty of heat lamps to keep you warm
The view and service was great. The food, not so much. Bring something warm to wear during the fall. Their heaters are rather useless.
