Spinning Bones is a California rotisserie Michelin Bib Gourmand rated restaurant that specializes in roasted meats with bold flavors. The focus of the menu is slow roasted meats: poultry, pork and beef, rotating on spits over high heat, and basting in their own natural juices. The rest of the menu is comprised of shareable appetizers, vegetarian side dishes, and healthier salads with vegan dressings. The principle of the menu is straight-forward: quality products that are prepared minimally and cooked thoughtfully. Spinning Bones is a brunch and dinner spot for Alameda people by Alameda people. It is a casual neighborhood restaurant open 5 days-a-week for sit down dining, take-out, and large party catering. Came to celebrate a birthday and our group really enjoyed ourselves! Staff were super nice and friendly. We ordered the corn fritters, beet salad, cauliflower, double Dutch platter, tri tip, and the tsukune sando. Also French toast for the table! Everything was delicious and the only issue was the chicken was a little dry. But the birthday boy didn’t complain and he loved it all! We’ve had the tasty Sunday prime rib in the past and will be back again!

Excellent service and we were seated immediately for our reservation. Our superb server answered our questions about the specials for today and we were convinced to try the rotisserie prime rib Sunday special. My family and I agreed that was the BEST prime rib we have ever eaten and the creamed corn it came with made it an absolutely delicious paring! The horse radish is top notch! We ordered our usual fav starters of Chix Fat Rice and Corn Fritters. For our other entree, we always enjoy the chicken and spareribs from our double Dutch entree, as these are especially juicy and the spareribs fell off the bone and are packed with flavor! I added chimichurri sauce from the roti that came with the Double Dutch on the chicken and spareribs ribs and this combination was perfection. People kept entering for takeout and to be seated, showing the strong business of Spinning Bones! This is one of our favorite restaurants and we are looking forward to our next visit to try out their specials and our fav items from their menu again!

Wonderful food combined with excellent, attentive service....dining at Spinning Bones is always a treat and we look forward to our next visit. You could make an entire meal from their small plates and salads options, but for a bigger meal, we like to get a few "combo" entrees and enjoy it, "family-style", when we come for dinner. Previous visits during lunch hours, you can't go wrong with a burger or my favorite, the fried chicken sandwich, BUT, don't forget to first ask for their "specials of the day" or you might regret missing out on some real winners, too!

Celebrated birthday at Spinning Bones, everything was great the food exceptional we had made plans for the house of prime rib but I can say that the quality of the prime rib was better than House. The beef was tender and flavorful medium rare kudos to the chef
