Spinning Bones is a contemporary rotisserie restaurant that specializes in roasted meats with new flavors. The food focus is on poultry, pork, beef and seafood, rotating on slow spinning spits over high heat. The principle is straight-forward: quality products that are prepared minimally and cooked thoughtfully. Spinning Bones is a lunch and dinner spot for Alamedeans by Alamedeans. It is a fast-casual neighborhood restaurant open 7 days-a-week for sit down dining, take-out, and large party catering. Spinning Bones will strive to be a common area for the residents of Alameda and the Bay area to come together and engage in conversation and comradery over great food and drink.

My 2nd time at Spinning Bones. Once again I thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We brought friends and they agreed that the food was delicious. We ate family style since we couldn't figure out what deliciousness to order, so we ordered everything! It was the right thing to do1 The roti is the best; the koji chicken is the reason I wanted to go back. Our only disappointment was that they were out of the butter mochi dessert. Oh well, we'll have to go back again. Thanks Mike!

What a neighborhood delight! Deliciously creative and healthful dishes with flair and care. OK - well - grilled meats - aren't the usual definition of healthful. BUT it's oh so good and their salads are gorgeous to accompany the amazing roasted pork. We literally tried so many delicious dishes on the menu - 2 salads - chicken and beet salad, 3 desserts - great chocolate peanut butter tart, strawberry guava popsicle, all the grilled meats and their wonderful chimmichuri sauce, fried chicken appetizer, sweet potato fritters....all sooo good. Another surprise - the sides- the cauliflower was grilled and tossed with lots of yummy bits - roast shallots? Come on over folks and enjoy this neighborhood gem!!!! So wonderful... AND the restaurant is run by the nicest folks - talented AND nice - great combo.

Ribs and chicken were good, but shoulder and beef subpar. Dessert choices minimal.

Outstanding food. We had the Triple and the Ribs and it was awesome. Possibly the best restaurant in Alameda. Fairly small place with tables close together. Very friendly staff.

Casual place (reservation wasn't really needed) with delicious food - we got the meat sampler platter and enjoyed all the options. The chicken was particularly good. We'll be back!

This is a beautiful space and the people who work there are very nice. Unfortunately, I did not read the menu carefully before going. I expected "roasted meats." I did not expect the very Japanese twist on most of the items, which is not my favorite food.

In addition, while the chicken nuggets were tasty, they were so hot (temperature) that I burned my mouth. Even after letting the dish sit for 5-10 minutes, I still burned myself.

I also do not like the policy of bringing things from the kitchen when they are ready. While I understand the restaurant's point, it's not very conducive to a comfortable dining experience when one person has almost finished their food and their companion is still waiting for theirs.

We throughly enjoyed this new addition to restaurants in n Alameda. Service was friendly and professional. We tried St Louis Pork Ribs and and the Trip’s Triple. Both were delicious and we shared, it’s a lot of food. It’s noteworthy that this restaurant is about meat and it’s cooked on rotisserie. We will definitely return!

Wife and I here for restaurant week. They couldn’t make the special but instead they had a short rib which was incredible. Also had the edamame with bacon appetizer and the chicken salad. Perfect diner for two!

One of my favorite go to spots in the East Bay! Obsessed with the Ribs and Pork Shoulder, the humus is really good as well. Everything pairs well with sake!

My husband and I went to dinner with another couple. Although the four of us ordered different dishes and they were delicious, we were disappointed we each got our dish one at a time, at different times. All our server could tell us was the other orders would be out soon, but "soon" was more than 5 minutes! In order for us to enjoy our food while it was hot, we each ate our dish and shared it with our table mates while they waited for their orders. Spinning Bones needs to work on the timing of delivering food to tables.

We went for Restaurant Week, I had the special ramen while my wife ordered from the standard menu. We thought the food was pretty good, but my wife would have liked it a lot spicier. Our table was so-so, right in the path of a busy passageway -that's why I'm deducting stars for ambience. That said, the food was pretty good and we enjoyed it. Would likely return in the future.

Only negative comment was the portion size of the steak entree. Puny.

Staff attentive to customers needs. Food is great but wish potato salad serving was bigger since it was really good. Will definitely come back.
