At Spinnakers Gastro Brewpub in Victoria, youll find meals made using fresh and local ingredients, inspired by classic pub favorites. Spinnakers Gastro Brewpub offers a breakfast, lunch and dinner menu to ensure no matter what time of the day you stop by youll find something delicious.
For lunch or dinner at Spinnakers Gastro Brewpub you can try one of the shared plates, perfect for a meal with friends and family, like Spinnakers cured meat and cheese plates. Wide assortment of beer, both made in house and brought in from other places. Excellent food, great service.
First time at Spinnakers and we did not regret the decision to come here. Food was excellent. Four diners tried four different meals and they were all of high quality and tasted very good. Definitely recommend this as a must for anyone visiting Victoria.
Great food and amazing view!! We made online reservations (so handy) and requested a table with a view and got an great corner table looking back at the harbor - was so pleased!!!
This restaurant was recommended by a friend. We are so glad we went. Food was very good and local. I would return.
Zum 3. Mal in Victoria, zum 3.Mal im Spinakers: immer wieder eine tolle (Bier-) Erfahrung!
We enjoyed the food here, but it was so loud it was hard to have the romantic conversation we had anticipated. A few more carpets would have been nice!!
This is one of our favourite places but Fridays visit left us feeling a bit underwhelmed. We always request a window when we reserve and despite years of asking, never seem to get one. Shortly after being seated a large and incredibly loud table got seated above us pretty much making conversation at our table impossible. The acoustics in Spinnakers are very poor with open concept kitchen plus wooden floors and no attempt to muffle or subdue sounds. All this and my moules frites were disappointing. The frites were dry and bland and the dish just did not work. However the pizza and fish appetizer were very good.
One last thing I wish a manager would address - why is there a bucket and towel up in the window? Does not look good.
Excellent service, nice evening out. Was put a a nice table for two at the window. Was a bit cramped and we were near a table with a screeching child for the first part of the meal. Borsch was a bit too vinegary.
This is our place. Friends from out of town, anniversaries, birthdays, and the " just because" in the middle of a long week, we are never disappointed.
But a bit too noisy for my taste.
The beet and lentil burger was dry and completely tasteless. It was like 3 old falafels smashed into one patty and shoved between 2 pieces of bread. No flavouring whatsoever. In fact there was no trace or taste of dressing on the salad either.
Waitress did offer me a vegetarian menu upon overhearing my conversation with dinner company. That was nice and about the only service we received. Nobody came to fill water or asked anything during the whole 2.5 hours-ish. We stayed that long only because the food was extremely slow. Our burgers came before salads!
The restaurant is in a beautiful house at a great location. It could be so much better. Such a shame!
We don't dine out very often, but when we do we mostly choose Spinnaker's. It is a very friendly place, the food is wonderfully fresh and intriguing. A great choice for us when there is a special occasion.
A great place for a tasty meal in either the bar or the restaurant - inside or out on the patio - overlooking Victoria's scenic harbour.
What I loved most about this restaurant is that every dish and item is BC raised/grown and that this is showcased on the menu for all to see. Very impressive.
Great selection of local craft beers and their own brew but service was very slow and food pathetic, even for bar food. If you only have one night in Victoria you should go elsewhere.
We did not get seated until 15 minutes after our reservation, but it was a busy evening. Our server was pleasant enough, but a little distracted. Food was good, but not as good as last time and it took a little while to come out, especially as it was from the appetizer menu.
A must to be there when you are visiting Victoria!
The halibut and chips were as good as they get, and I was given the choice of having a half chip/half salad option. Our waiter was attentive without being a "hoverer." The atmosphere was totally comfortable - a perfect place to spend an hour or so on a damp Sunday afternoon with a visitor from Toronto (who considered the fish and chips outstanding).
We frequent spinnakers, it's our local. They have great food, which is locally sourced as much as possible, delicious hand made chocolates and they brew their own beer. Their food is delightful, they are always accommodating to dietary restrictions. Their service is always friendly, even when they are super busy. We always bring out of towers, just for the experience, ambience and great view!
Nice ambiance. Asked for a window table in our open table reservation and got a very nice one. Enjoyed the different sort of food that was served. Particularly impressed with the dried, salty kelp that came as a salad condiment although the tataki slices had no flavor. The flight of in-house beer was fun and the server was knowledgeable in helping us to choose which 4 we wanted to try. Shrimp melt was a bit fishy. Will not order it again. Loved the BLT. Dessert menu never came our way, so we didn't try any.
It has a pub feel but the food is high-class! Delicious and local, I love Spinnakers every time. Lots of drink options too and the beer is great.
Had a great time. Food was delicious and beer was tasty!
I continue to support Spinnakers because I like the philosophy of using locally sourced products, however I still find the variation in standard upsetting and bewildering. Sometimes it's great, and sometimes it's only so-so.
Waited 1 1/2 hours for our food.
When we got the bill, a bottle of wine we wanted but which they were out of, still got added to bill.
Several visits over the years to this brewpub & restaurant continue to impress. Good food, excellent beer OK wines & cheerful attentive service.
Only wish is that the brews were more widely available in BC.
We all ordered fish
Not great food - slow service
Great setting but disappointed in dinner
The views are great..Food was good...good assortment of beer. Only downfall..our waitress was very, very slow but we understand that can be due to many different reasons and some beyond her control but she should at least check in with us!! Fortunately, we are on vacation and were not in a big hurry!
Apparently they ended up deliciously on a thin crust pizza at Spinnakers Brewpub!!! i am not a fan of "thin" crust pizza and there are only one or two I don't mind. Spinnakers' 3 little pigs pizza I actually look forward to. Of course then there is the Hefeweizen beer ... unfortunately they had run out but it wasn't a deal breaker ... After a little consultation and taste samples, a suitable replacement was found ... I forget the name and can't find it on the online menu, but it was a melon blend beer ... very nice!
We had a group of 8 and even though I didn't get my first choice the food was good. Unfortunately our waitress must have been having a bad night. She was quite rude to the birthday boy and brought no personality to the table. Her mood almost ruined the night.
A good experience all-round. Quick sit-down at the bar with excellent ale while table came free; service was slightly distracted, but cheerful and quick; food tasty and nicely presented. Particularly recommend Titanic Stout.
Excellent experience at Spinnakers, as always. The noise level was very high but to be expected for a Saturday evening. The selection of microbrewed beers was outstanding.
Rather disappointing. Nice view amd location. The food is very mediocre.
THe resrvation system worked perfectly including notification of a birthday which waas acknowledged whemn we arrived. The service was very cgood. THe food for all was fantastic. I would definately return. LOcation is excellent and on-site parking, sometimes a problem in Victoria is appreciated.
I find it beyond absurd that you are unable to split pitcher to multiple persons' bills on request. It takes literally 15 seconds to complete this task, and a waitress refusing to or beyond unable to do this reflects poorly from any perspective. Fix this annoying peculiarity and you will have a wondrous establishment.
The service is terrible. So slow. Took a long time to get our servers attention.
Food is good- that is why I will go back.
We visit your Pub often however this is the first review I have written. In general we love coming to your place due to friendliness, atmosphere and the great view however on the last two occasions have found the service very slow. We waited a good 40 mins. for our meal. The waiters are fairly attentive put appear rushed off their feet.
We were also disappointed to find that you were out of your pub stout beer on one of our visits. We absolutely love your pot pie - a real winner. The crust and is moist, flaky and melt in your mouth good. We also love your Americano's.
We find the price on the high side for pub food- $18 for halibut burger and small salad. $50 for two for lunch. No HST will definitely make a difference.
It was our first time there and the food and service were both very good. I loved the fact that almost everything on the menu is locally sourced, and the open concept kitchen was a joy for my son to watch. We would definetly eat there again, and tell anyvisitors about it aswell.
We booked for Easter lunch. The website indicated there would be some Easter special menu items and we were somewhat disappointed when we arrived, there were no real "Easter" items. It was really just another lunch menu. What we did order was very good, however.
Very reasonably priced with lots of great food options and some great beers to try. Also on the ocean so some wonderful views. Best if you have a car to drive there as a bit too far to walk from downtown Victoria.
During our visit back to Victoria (we lived near Sooke for several years prior to 2005) we got together with old friends from our Sooke days for a meal at Spinnakers. Great location right on the water and attentive and helpful service from the friendly staff. Best of all, a very enjoyable food experience for all of us -- everyone was delighted with their meal -- we especially loved sampling the beers available with one of the diner's menu choices -- and personally, my Oysters Kilpatrick were the best I've had in years! Great evening!
