Spinasse Ratings and Reviews
Dinner was delicious. But would recommend less formality....example...when we received our dessert, before the waitress released her hold on the desserts, she described to us each dessert, We knew what we had ordered. We felt that she should just deliver our dessert, with no lengthy presentation, and she should depart. Let us enjoy our time there. Restaurant fills up. Many waiters deliver your food, not just the initial waiter. Would go back.
Had a great time, as always, at Spinasse. Noticed that the food came out not quite as warm as I'd have liked it this time. All the same, delicious food and preparation, great pairings, great wine, sweet service. Will definitely be back and continue to recommend to friends.
The food was amazing! Great place to eat. The only thing I could say negative is that the waitress suggested that we add truffle to our pasta, which was amazing but she did not bother to tell us that would be additional $35.00 dollars to add it to our pasta. So when we got our bill which was already expensive we were a little surprised to see what she suggested cost that much extra.
I was visiting from Boston and a friend recommended I must go to Spinasse. It did not disappoint! Upon walking through the door, I felt transported to a trattoria in Italy. The place is charming, and very romantic. The pastas are all made fresh, and they literally melt in your mouth. Make sure to leave room for the tiramisu for dessert as it’s one of the best I’ve had in a while. I can’t wait to return to Spinasse on my next visit to Seattle. Definitely a top 10 dining experience!
We always have a great meal and great service at Spinasse. Always love their signature pasta dish of pasta with sage and butter. What really makes the experience is seeing the actually hand -making of the pasta. The service was top-notch, and they even accomodated our beer needs by getting a really nice IPA from "Stoop" from the next door retaurant "Artusa". We'll be back!
We showed up 15 minutes early for our reservation and were told that the table wouldn’t be ready until “closer to the reservation time”. There was no room in the bar or for us to stand so we just awkwardly hung around until we realized they wanted us to leave and come back (it was never stated). We’re not familiar with the area so weren’t sure where to go... It was cold and wet, so we wandered around until we found a friendly sushi bar to wait it out. It seemed odd that they weren’t able to recommend a place to go to wait.... Not a huge issue, but awkward, particularly when you consider they probably have similar situations frequently (considering how popular the bar and restaurant have become). Anyway, we came back when the table was ready and had an excellent meal as always at Spinasse.
The restaurant is a nice neighborhood feel with kitchen in sight and well-organized. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The food was great, well presented and although we enjoyed our dinner it really wasn't memorable for us as a special visit to Seattle - seemed more like a local mid-week stop in for dinner. The tables and benches/chairs are unique, but simple and the room is cozy. Nice vibe overall. The cuisine is Piedmont and the wine list completely Italian.
I thought the food was excellent very $$$ wine list I don't like that part nothing under 40.00 come on . The pasta was delicious I had the boar 1/2 size it was really small I should've order the full size my daughter had the Angel hair pasta 1/2 size it was twice the size of mine . So we had a 55.00 bottle of wine sorry I am not a wine snob or that cheap I think the need more reasonable prices in that . Very fresh homemade pasta now that I've been I know what to order ! 😄
