Flawless service and very tasty food. Our sever advised us well and we were happy with sharing a selection of appetisers, pasta and fish. The trout was amazing and we also gave the butter & sage pasta top marks.
Awesome food and ambiance!
Outstanding service and ambience — loved the rustic feel. Look forward to our next date here!
The ambiance is cozy and elegant, the staff is wonderful and always willing to help, and the food is amazing. Definitely recommend to at least take a peak at this gem, specially for the foodies.
After hearing rave reviews, i knew this would be the spot for our anniversary dinner...and im so glad it was! Fantastic. We had the sampler appitizer, and the radish salad was my favorite! I dont even like radishes normally! We shared a few plates, including the famous butter sage pasta - get it!! Lovely place with great service. Highly recommend.
I’ve been to Spinasse twice—my fiancé took me for a special dinner in February 2017, and I brought my business partners back tonight for the climax of our partner retreat. I can only describe the experiences and Jeckyll & Hyde.
The tasting menu I had in 2017 was divine. I’ve raved about the Tajarin al ragu for a year and insisted anyone visiting Seattle try it.
My experience tonight was painful. Though the wait staff was pleasant and informative, the food was just bad. All four cold antipasti were woefully under seasoned. The risotto was so salty no one had more than one bite. The tajarins were clumpy and cold.
I am in total shock, and I don’t see myself returning.
Great food and the service is amazing. It's a little pricey, but worth it! The decor is so cute and cozy! You can see them hand making pasta in the back.
Excellent food! The cipollini onion/meatball app is amazing!
Every single thing was scrumptious!
I have been wanting to dine at Spinasse for years. Their pasta exceeded not only my hopes, but also my imagination based on their reputation. The tajarin con burro e salvia was the best pasta I have had the pleasure of eating.
The roasted Brussels sprouts and torte cioccolato were also exceptional.
The service was timely, unobtrusive, and flawless.
This was a perfect dining experience!
Celebrated my 5th anniversary with my girlfriend (now fiancée!). We had our very first date at Spinasse so this is a very special location, let alone one of our favorite restaurants in Seattle.
We saw Spinasse on the Travel Channel and had a trip planned to Seattle so included the restaurant in our itinerary. We enjoyed the food and service. We were glad we went. Very delicious pastas and the beet salad was a pleasant surprise.
Fantastic restaurant! You come here to relax and have a good and leisurely meal with your friends and family. The restaurant is beautiful and feels really intimate despite being a medium sized place. Everything is curated to a tee and feels like the kitchen you wish you had at your home.
The service is very knowledgeable and kind. Our server was almost a little bit to acquiescing to the conversation that we were having - it took about 20 min for us to actually get our orders in - but I know that it's a delicate balance between letting people catch up and forcing people to order before they're ready.
Now, onto what you've all been waiting for - the food. We ordered family style. For appetizers, we ordered the antipasto misto, which was a tasting of all four of the cold appetizers. My personal favorites were the beet salad and the prosciutto as they were both substantial enough to share among four people and for each of us to actually savor it. For our mains, we had the tarjarin with butter and sage (the house staple), the cavatelli, a rabbit ravioli special, and a side of carrots. The tarjarin was truly delightful - really delicate pasta that was also ridiculously rich and flavorful. The table's favorite was the cavatelli - the pasta is a lot thicker and feels more substantial than the tarjarin, plus it has tasty mushrooms to go with it. The special and the carrots were also delicious, but in my opinion paled in comparison to the other two pastas. When ordering mains, if everyone is sort of average hungry, I would suggest ordering the smaller versions of 3 pastas plus 1-2 sides. We had two full pastas, 1 small, and 1 side and were dying by the end! Still, we finished off the night with a tiramisu, served in a cute mason jar with spectacular coffee and pastry. Loved it.
Overall, a great night! I would have loved the food to be paced a little slower, but the quality of the food and the beauty of the restaurant makes it a great place to have a nice dinner.
Fantastic flavors, especially the Cippolini onions, the pasta was perfect, highly recommended .
I’m from out of town, went in on a casual date. Wasn’t too hungry. Server was very knowledgeable on menu and portions which was a big help on making sure we didn’t order too much.
We shared a half order of the Butter + Sage pasta, phenomenal! Fresh ingredients and rich flavor.
Also shared the Steak and Brussels sprouts, both cooked to tendered perfection.
I came to Seattle to take a class for work, and had never been to the northwest, so I found an article about dining in Seattle and chose the most interesting places to me. Spinasse did not disappoint in any way. The food was amazing, the bartender helped tremendously with my decision- I would recommend this place any day of the week. Thank you all.
We enjoyed the food, but were surprised at the quantity for the price - There was a large and small option available on the dishes we ordered - We ordered the larger version thinking we'd have plenty for leftover, but that was not the case - We were surprised at how small the larger portion really was and this comes from someone who never finishes their meal -
The pasta with butter and sage was the best pasta I have ever had. The steak was exceptional. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. Everything about this place was perfection.
Awesome birthday dinner!
We've visited Spinasse many time over the last several years and always enjoyed it. The menu is thoughtful and the service is exceptionally good. On this last visit we found the food unexceptional. They weren't exceptionally busy nor did we order items that were new to the menu. I wonder if we haven't visited too many times and their otherwise excellent fare became unexceptional through familiarity? The pasta was wonderful but the salad and entrée were disappointing. Maybe they need to mix it up a little more than just rotating the specials? I cannot pretend to know the complexities of the restaurant world but I certainly want them to succeed.
One of the best. Scotty our waitress was wonderful.
Delicious Northern Italian food with local ingredients. Handmade, hand-cut egg pasta is brilliant, especially the tajarin (with ragu, or butter and sage) but the sides are also wonderful, especially the brussels sprouts with bagna cauda, and the sausage-stuffed cippolini onions. Outstanding!
Spinasse's pasta is the best we'd ever had. If I were to go again, id get just two giant bowls for us to share. Great ambiance - It was a perfect romantic evening.
Awesome! Great food. Great service. Will definitely go back.
The four of us had the Menu Degustazione with the wine pairing. All the food was delicious, but there was so much of it that we didn't eat much of the entrees. I'm not complaining though, it made a great lunch at work the next day.
Absolutely amazing food there, nice staff, pasta is the best I’ve ever had.... would love to see more chicken dishes or something like that on menu. But please keep the pasta! It is to die for. Thank you.
Absolute delight! Can't wait to come back. The pasta was heavenly.
Wow! We will be back. Fantastic Italian food, and if you’re lucky enough to have Skadi as your waitress, you are golden.
Amazing staff. Amazing food. Everything, amazing!!
We've had this restaurant on our list to try for quite a while and our only regret is that we hadn't tried sooner. The food was excellent - beef tartare appetizer, angel hair pasta with pork ragu and the rabbit meatballs where all delicious. The service was also great - courteous and friendly, just what you would expect from a top-notch restaurant. I would definitely recommend Spinasse to anyone who loves Italian food, especially, pasta.
I was very excited to visit as I’ve heard so much about it. The food was good and I appreciate being able to choose between a full or smaller portion. Servers were excellent, attentive and friendly.
My husband and I celebrated his birthday here recently, and we were blown away. The service was friendly, attentive, but not intrusive in any way. I enjoyed the Tajarin al ragu...it must defy the laws of physics, somehow, to get fresh hand-cut pasta so thin. The atmosphere is stylish, and absent of any pretension. It really was a perfect evening!
As always outstanding food and great service.
Service was great, but both the pasta and the entree were overly salty.
Very friendly staff, always good food and amazing wine choices...
Incredible experience all around. The pasta steals the show, but all of the food/drink/service/ambiance is on point.
We enjoyed wonderful service from the minute we walked in the door. If you like Italian food it is the place to go. Everyone that worked there enjoyed being there and being part of making your meal and experience excellent. I would highly recommend.
Dinner with a friend. Impressive menu. Great Italian wine list. Excellent wait staff. The food was fantastic.
Everything was outstanding! The best food we have had in a long time! Not only was the food delicious but our server was incredibly knowledgeable and very attentive. A treasure, we LOVE Spinasse!
Generally, dishes were over-cooked and over-seasoned. Roasted brussels sprouts were very black and not enhanced by excessive balsamic vinegar. Pasta and lentils also over-seasoned. However, the roasted rolled pork was excellent.
