Spinasse in Capitol Hill is one of the best fork-up-your-money Italian restaurants in Seattle.
Everything was absolutely wonderful, from the complimentary anchovy crostino (fantastic butter!) to the carciofi, tajarine with butter and sage, and probably the best price of trout I've eaten. A glass of good barbaresco didn't hurt. And quite reasonable. Grazie, Spinasse!
Favorite Italian spot in Seattle. Looking forward to coming back.
Excellent as usual!!!
The Tajarin pasta dishes are the BEST!!! Fresh made pasta can’t be beat...:-)
They didn’t have the rabbit meatballs on the menu this visit, however, they are a must if they are on the menu. We never thought we would like rabbit.
We can’t wait until our next visit.
The food and service was excellent! A must go to when in Seattle!!
Butter & sage pasta is the best meal I’ve ever had.
Reservation was for 8:30. Showed up 10 min early and got seated right away. Luis was very knowledgeable and helpful with our dinner selections and made some great recommendations. Ordered both tajarin and was amazed! Definitely will return hungry for more!
We live in LA and we always try and eat at Spinasse when we visit. The entire staff remembers us and even remembers our favorite dishes.
We look forward to the food and seeing the welcoming staff.
El lugar es pequeño pero acogedor, la decoración es muy agradable, la cocina excelente al igual que la atención
The food was great. We would have preferred more variety in the menu.
Fantastic wine, great food always such a lovely time
Loved it! Fresh pasta was melt in your mouth. We got the lamb dish for the main- and it was cooked perfectly.
My husband and I love this place. The pasta is just outstanding and the service is always the best. This is our place to date, friends, family dinner I mean we come often and it never disappoints.
Delicious food, friendly service, we will be back.
Didn't enjoy 3 items, they didn't take the risotto off of the bill even though we didn't like it and only 3 bites were taken.
Attentive service, semi open kitchen concept where you can watch hand made pasta being made, they take wine seriously, staff are knowledgeable, bathrooms are nice, grappa flight which you can't find elsewhere, great selection of grappa, authentic Italian food with true Seattle style, dessert was magnificent - zuppa inglese, mascarpone vanilla bean cheese cake with corn meal biscuit-cookie
We wanted to go to Spinasse for a while. We decided to book two weeks in advance so we didn't have to eat at 5pm on a Monday. Well it was worth the wait! The experience, service and food were all great. I particularly loved that all of the pastas came in smaller portions! The pastas were beyond delicious. They were on the same level as what I have eaten in Italy. Fresh, homemade and perfect. We will be coming back here!
Our server was attentive and kind.
Our favorite for food, ambiance and service. Spinasse never disappoints. Oh, did I mention the bread?!!! 👍
Delicious with a lovely atmosphere and great staff
Perfect Seattle restaurant - tucked away, unpretentious and friendly, comfortable, and the food was truly fantastic. The quality of this restaurant's service, atmosphere and food was the best I've experienced in recent memory, perhaps ever. It will impress whoever you take there without any of the offputting attitude or useless ceremony one finds in more typically "fancy" restaurants. Order any combination of the tantalizing menu items and they'll figure out how to best deliver it to your table. The goal of this place is very clearly to make you happy and you will be.
Considering the high accolades... we were all very disappointed. Wouldn’t go again.
Good Restaurant . The pasta dishes we had were just okay the Antipasto was fabulous , the main course was good as well. Not a 5 star restaurant but very good .
Food is wonderful! Many Italian restaurants in the city - Spinasse stands out for its quality, freshness and taste!
My wife and I eat at Spinasse whenever we are in Seattle. We love sitting at the bar watching the kitchen and the pasta making process. The food is always delicious and their fresh pasta is amazing--but, we'd like Spinasse even more if they added pasta offerings like fettuccine, pappardelle, bucatini, etc.--they should leverage their delicious pasta to expand their menu.
Was slightly underwhelmed after hearing so many good things. There were only two beer options and the food was only fine. The pastas are overpriced for what you get.
In my modest opinion, this is the finest Italian food in Seattle. Real Italian cuisine, not "Italian-like".
This was my 2nd time here, and I LOVED IT even more! Probably consumed an unhealthy amount of food, but hey, I couldn't help it. This time had wine too and it was so good that we ordered 6 bottles home online :) Can't wait to go back again for another special occasion!
Cipollini onions are delicious and a ton on the plate. A good appetizer for 3+ people, but a lot of food for just two. Otherwise all portions are great for two.
Spinasse came highly recommended and did not disappoint. A group of four from out of the town enjoyed it immensely (though we had a bit of a harrowing taxi ride to get there). I'd return in a heartbeat and would definitely recommend to others.
We found the service to be impeccable and the setting to be quaint. We also highly recommend setting reservations as they fill up quickly. Prices were surprisingly reasonable considering the quality of everything. Do yourself a favor and get the Ragu!
Bertram.and the staff were awesome! Try the prosciutto, you wont regret it.
We had an excellent meal there! The service was on point at all times and the food was delicious. I only wished for a few more entree options on the menu (there are only three in the secondi catoegory), and the wine is very pricey! But it was a fantastic meal.
Very good Italian fare made all the better by a terrific server who made the menu understandable and offered great advice on wine. Only thing is that we ordered too much thinking the servings would be smaller than they actually were. Arrive hungry and enjoy rich, generous portions.
Probably one of the best meals I’ve had in my life. Traveled to Seattle to break up a long trip with my parents and saw the reviews and had to try! The onion appetizer was crazy good and the pastas were so light and fresh! Definitely worth it!
Loved Loved the food. We had a server with no personality, she did not even introduce herself. Really changes the experience.
Beautiful homemade pastas and wonderful service. Wine list was very good. Enjoyed some Gaja with our meal.
We had the tasting menu. Great food and very generous portion sizes for a tasting menu. The à la carte portions that passed us were huge.
Flawless service and very tasty food. Our sever advised us well and we were happy with sharing a selection of appetisers, pasta and fish. The trout was amazing and we also gave the butter & sage pasta top marks.
Awesome food and ambiance!
Outstanding service and ambience — loved the rustic feel. Look forward to our next date here!
The ambiance is cozy and elegant, the staff is wonderful and always willing to help, and the food is amazing. Definitely recommend to at least take a peak at this gem, specially for the foodies.
