Delicious food in an elegantly understated room. Gracious, knowledgeable and good-humored service from the warm and genuine Scotty and her very professional colleagues. 🙏🙏🙏
The only knock on Spinasse is that the menu can be predictable. The trout and the stuffed cipollini onions were nice surprises.
Spinasse is pricey, the wine list in particular, but worth it
Fantastic food and ambiance, unobtrusive, helpful and lovely service all around. Thank you!
You can tell that this restaurant caters to tourists. The waiter proceeded to explain the menu to us as if we’d never been to an Italian restaurant before. The “amuse bouch” was 2 types of crostini, which were boring, over baked, and unimaginative. We asked to sit somewhere special as it was our 10 year wedding anniversary (I made the reservation a few weeks in advance) and we were sat near a brightly lit hallway, it was the antithesis of romantic. The spot prawn risotto was bland and boring, and the flagship freshly made Tajarin pasta with sage and butter was clumped together and also pretty bland. In addition to the brightly lit hallway we were sat next to, the overall lighting was too bright in the dining room, which detracted from the ambiance. Overall we were pretty disappointed. We’re from Portland so we decided our expectations might be too high for Seattle restaurants.
Good food and service. Would have appreciated some lighter options on the menu to balance the mostly heavy, rich (but delicious) dishes.
One of my favorite spots in seattle. They have great customer service and a great ambiance and setting for their incredible cuisine .
Absolutely delicious food. Do yourself a favor and go.
One of best experiences I’ve had dining in Seattle. I took my husband out to dinner just as something sweet to do. We were treated so well! We felt so relaxed and felt like they wanted us to be there. The appetizers, pasta and entrees were all incredible! Wine was amazing- great recommendations, and dessert was perfect. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who loves fine dining and appreciates good, high quality food.
Excellent Italian cuisine with a variety of permutations to have a full experience of a Appetizer, 1st, 2nd and 3rd course meal. Having the half size pasta helps with not only budget but also with the ability to create a full meal experience. The service was exceptional. Our server was not only efficient but extremely helpful in navigating the menu.
This is the ultimate go to for Italian in Seattle. Spinasse never fails to deliver an almost unbelievable dining experience. Always always always order the butter sage egg pasta. The house antipasto selection is a great starter and you really can’t go wrong from there. Enjoy!
Never disappoints!!
What an adorable restaurant with absolutely delicious food!!!!! Service was friendly, professional & personalized ! I’ll recommend to everyone and can’t wait to come back!!
Sue & Jenni
Made a last minute reservation, though there was plenty of seating early in the evening. Saw several parties being seated as walk-ins. We ordered the “everything” new which was small portions every appetizer and meal. TOTALLY WORTH IT. Especially if it’s your first time going, which it was. All of the plates had different and bold flavors. The service was amazing and the ambiance was perfect. Would highly recommend for any date night or special occasion. The extra price is worth it and you definitely get the quality and quantity that you pay for.
Excellent food
Possibly the best Italian food I've ever had. It was the perfect way to cap off a long weekend in Seattle!
Service was not great due to the fact that we had a late reservation and they were closing while we were finishing dinner. Our original server left.
Classic, old school Italian (but no jackets or ties). Well executed.
A wonderful dining experience. We were blessed with the addition of delicate truffles added to an amazing fresh pasta with butter and sage. We enjoyed every bite of all four courses and our waiter was AMAZING! She guided us to the happiest anniversary dinner we have had in years.
Best service in Seattle and the food is impossibly perfect every time.
Have dined here several times and it’s always outstanding in every way. Will return soon.
Awesome in every aspect.
Milestone birthday
Spinasse is one of our favorite restaurants in Seattle. The space is cozy, with a great bar and an open kitchen. The food is absolutely delicious; handmade pastas, amazing fish and lots of choices for vegetarians. Dessert is a must.
This restaurant never disappoints. The whole experience is fantastic.
The pasta with butter and sage was amazing! Great service.
Incredible food. Excellent and warm service
We ordered the “everything on the menu” menu option. For 105$/person it was a lot of food and a lot to take home. Everything was delicious.
We had an amazing time. The food was spectacular, from the classic Piedmontese dishes (vitello tonnato, tajarin) to Chef Lane's own dishes (stuffed cipollini onions in brodo), everything was well-executed and delicious. The wine pairings were well-selected and generous. The meal was enhanced by the cozy atmosphere (and open-kitchen) and attentive service. It felt as if we were in Italy, enjoying a great meal mixing tradition with modern cuisine. A definite must if you're looking to do a full celebratory meal, or event to just grab and aperitif and a bowl of pasta. We'll definitely be back!
Great food and fun dining ambiance. It doesn't get any better than seeing the pasta being made in the back of the restaurant!
Perfect in every way.
Ordered a number of dishes and shared amongst friends. Each dish was so carefully crafted yet simple. The pasta with butter and sage was to die for. Service was relaxed, unobtrusive and friendly. Great recommendations from our server. Would definitely return when I am back in Seattle.
Food is outstanding despite a very limited menu. Prices seem high and you're crowded into tables with people on both side of your group. But service and food make this worth a trip back.
It was a little chilly sitting in the front corner next to the windows & near entrance. One of our members needed to wear her coat during the meal.
Service was perfect - checked in at appropriate times, offered reasoned opinions when requested, helpful with menu details. Very professional yet relaxed and approachable.
Most food was done exceedingly well. Biggest miss was the Tajarin al ragu, the ragu was unremarkable. We also tried the Tajarin con burro e salvia - both as menu standard and the one with truffles. The sage with the truffles was over powering the flavor of the truffles.
We ordered several starters as well: Antipasti Misto della Casa, Bruschetta, & Sformato. All were excellent with everyone having their own favorites - the winner across the board was the Bruschetta.
Overall it was a very enjoyable evening for all of us.
On all counts, a lovely dining experience. The chef’s sampling selection of appetizers was simply exceptional. The service, superb.
Number one spot in Seattle, for me. Love it.
Amazing as always. My favorite restaurant in all of Seattle, hands down. Greatest staff, best chefs. Cannot be beat!
Brilliant service. Loved it
Food was fantastic although thought the portions were a bit smaller than expected. Again, everything we ordered was REALLY good. We were celebrating my friend’s birthday as I noted when I made my reservation. It was my idea to bring him here and my treat. At the end of the dinner, my friend was brought a deer ornament with a candle on it. It created a good laugh but it was kind of insulting. Maybe just a “happy birthday” or nothing at all would have been better. Would return for the food but would probably go elsewhere when celebrating a special occasion. This is nothing to really complain about but Open Table seems to force a review out of you.
First time in Seattle and first restaurant in which to eat after arriving from Chicago. The restaurant is small and intimate. Max, our waiter, handle the meal skilfully resulting in a very pleasurable experience. The Sformato was out of this world. Thank you Max and thank you Spinasse.
It was wonderful!
Great food, great service. Everything I wanted!
The ambiance and the food was outstanding! It was everything we hoped for!
