Spinasse in Capitol Hill is one of the best fork-up-your-money Italian restaurants in Seattle.
I love this restaurant. Great environment. Great wines. Great ingredients. The servers are fabulous. Very knowledgeable, invested and interested. A really good experience. Sit at the bar if you get the chance. Watching pasta being made is mesmeric.
I cannot recommend Spinasse highly enough.
Some of the best Italian food I have ever had. Truly an amazing place!
I cannot say enough about how absolutely terrific this restaurant was. The chef's tasting menu was astounding. The flavors and execution were on par with the best meals I have ever enjoyed anywhere. Thank you to chef and kitchen staff for turning out spectacular dishes. I can't wait to return and experience a meal with you again.
All the food was good, nothing was outstanding. Service was excellent. I would definitely go back, but I would not call amongst the best Italian places.
This was our first visit after a number of years---when the restaurant was then much smaller. The options on the menu were very different from other Italian restaurants in Seattle. We liked everything---salads, special pasta, and desserts. Will go back recently!
First time back in several years, but every bit as great as we remembered it. Each dish had it's own delight. Peas an cauliflower salad, bright and yummy. No need for the lovely sharp knives with the pork. Fall of the bone and rich taste. The beet dish with Marcona almonds was beyond expectations. And of course the pasta with sage butter was worth the trip on its own! Will not wait so long again to return.
Dining at Spinasse is a totally pleasurable experience. From the host who sat us to our server and the sommelier, all service is professional and friendly. We love trying Italian wines we are not familiar with and we were NOT disappointed! We started with two glasses of a white wine from the Piedmont to go with the selection of salads and appetizers. Perfect! Then the sommelier, after some discussion, brought two glasses of a Barbaresco that went perfectly with my lamb-stuffed agnolotti and my husband’s
It’s all about the delicious food and the exquisite service! We also had a pre-dinner drink at the bar next door, Artusi. Fun, friendly and professional. We always allow time for a cocktail at Artusi!
Imaginative dishes using authentic Italian ingredients. Despite no annoying background music, the room was still noisy tables too close together and too close to the bar. Street parking requires payment until an outrageous 10p.m.
Always a pleasure to dine here. Staff gracious, service attentive and unobstusive. We are treated very well every time.
Absolutely the best services and food in all of Seattle!
my favorite place in Seattle. if they have the agnolotti on, get it :)
Another fantastic dinner at Spinasse! We missed Luis but enjoyed meeting Kathleen who was also very attentive and pleasant.
Best dinner we had on our trip to Seattle!
I believe the food was excellent, although some items were a bit on the salty side, of overall the tasting menu was delicious and the service was great!

Everything about Spinasse makes my mouth water. We had the 1/2 order of prosciutto, artichokes, sage and butter pasta and asparagus and everything was just perfect!! The sage and butter pasta is simply heavenly. We will return soon!
Great Customer service with warm, inviting venue which continued on with every beautiful presentation of fresh and delightful dishes.
We found out about the place on TV today and we are glad we did. Very small restaurant with great atmosphere. Great vibes and food to match. Must visit in Seattle
A good tried and true! Consistently delicious food and great staff.
We have been regular customers at Spinasse since 2008.
Our dinner on friday evening was incredibly disappointing and out of character for the great service and food we have always expected and enjoyed at Spinasse.
Several notable problems included a 15$ half piece of bread "bruschetta" that we were supposed to split in 3, the server breaking a wine glass over one of our meals and not comping anything from our bill afterwards, and having to beg for service to order more wine, or even the replacement bread from the earlier glass issue.
I'm not sure we will be back for quite some time. Maybe we will sit at the bar next time.
However lovely our window table for my mom's birthday dinner was.
I made reservations at Spinasse to celebrate 2 friends' birthdays. we go someplace new every year.
The interior was charming, the stemware, silverware, napkins, etc very nice. The service was impeccable. The wine, bread sticks and asparagus was perfect. What I found lacking was the entrees. The beef, veal, pork rolls had a mushy consistency, the ramp and cheese ravioli was dry and fogettable. My trout was very well cooked, but I didn't care for the something underneath. The meals were expensive, especially 28 dollars for the ravioli.
Spinasse would be a wonderful place for a glass of wine and some nosh but would not go again for dinner.
Great place. Probably the best in seattle
Everything was absolutely wonderful, from the complimentary anchovy crostino (fantastic butter!) to the carciofi, tajarine with butter and sage, and probably the best price of trout I've eaten. A glass of good barbaresco didn't hurt. And quite reasonable. Grazie, Spinasse!
Favorite Italian spot in Seattle. Looking forward to coming back.
Excellent as usual!!!
The Tajarin pasta dishes are the BEST!!! Fresh made pasta can’t be beat...:-)
They didn’t have the rabbit meatballs on the menu this visit, however, they are a must if they are on the menu. We never thought we would like rabbit.
We can’t wait until our next visit.
The food and service was excellent! A must go to when in Seattle!!
Butter & sage pasta is the best meal I’ve ever had.
Reservation was for 8:30. Showed up 10 min early and got seated right away. Luis was very knowledgeable and helpful with our dinner selections and made some great recommendations. Ordered both tajarin and was amazed! Definitely will return hungry for more!
We live in LA and we always try and eat at Spinasse when we visit. The entire staff remembers us and even remembers our favorite dishes.
We look forward to the food and seeing the welcoming staff.
El lugar es pequeño pero acogedor, la decoración es muy agradable, la cocina excelente al igual que la atención
The food was great. We would have preferred more variety in the menu.
Fantastic wine, great food always such a lovely time
Loved it! Fresh pasta was melt in your mouth. We got the lamb dish for the main- and it was cooked perfectly.
My husband and I love this place. The pasta is just outstanding and the service is always the best. This is our place to date, friends, family dinner I mean we come often and it never disappoints.
Delicious food, friendly service, we will be back.
Didn't enjoy 3 items, they didn't take the risotto off of the bill even though we didn't like it and only 3 bites were taken.
Attentive service, semi open kitchen concept where you can watch hand made pasta being made, they take wine seriously, staff are knowledgeable, bathrooms are nice, grappa flight which you can't find elsewhere, great selection of grappa, authentic Italian food with true Seattle style, dessert was magnificent - zuppa inglese, mascarpone vanilla bean cheese cake with corn meal biscuit-cookie
We wanted to go to Spinasse for a while. We decided to book two weeks in advance so we didn't have to eat at 5pm on a Monday. Well it was worth the wait! The experience, service and food were all great. I particularly loved that all of the pastas came in smaller portions! The pastas were beyond delicious. They were on the same level as what I have eaten in Italy. Fresh, homemade and perfect. We will be coming back here!
Our server was attentive and kind.
Our favorite for food, ambiance and service. Spinasse never disappoints. Oh, did I mention the bread?!!! 👍
