Mother’s Day lunch. Food was okay, one or two standouts for taste, the rest were just normal. The Chili soup was great as was the deconstructed Waldorf. Generally okay from a service perspective, they were a bit short staffed but it didn’t feel that way.... we put in our whole order and it came out at a reasonable pace. The host asked us to limit our time to two hours (totally reasonable) but rushed us out as we were trying to enjoy a post meal conversation (still within our 2 hour limit) Also not the greatest crowd management inside. Lots of folks packed in a small entryway. So net, okay for one visit, likely a bit overhyped, probably won’t go back
Can’t say enough great things about this new incredible restaurant. Our food and service was beyond what we expected. The presentation and attention to detail was impeccable. Can’t wait to go back! Definitely going to be a frequent guest at this location. I highly recommend everyone to check it out!
Good food. Were cognizant about our allergy and spl food requirements. Good taste and vatiety and presentation.
Very good food. Great presentation. Nice ambience.
Recommend going here for a special evening.
Excellent Appetizers! Presentation and Taste gets a A+ rating.
Especially the Papdi chaat and Paneer.
Entrees were good, but not on the same par as the Appetizers!
Some of them are a bit too oily.
The food was tasty, the ‘molecular gastronomy’ inspired appetizers and cocktails were super fun and also really tasty! The host (Ruta) was very attentive and answered all our questions and made suggestions for us.
It was a wonderful experience and we’d love to be back.
Good vegetarian fine dine restaurant. Food was good.
Great service and nice presentation for food items!
This was my second visit after having an amazing experience first time. Very disappointing service and food. Slow and they did not give us much attention. They ignored the things they differentiate this restaurant. I hope they lift up and maintain high standards that they are capable of.
Great food and service! We had the kathal biryani which could have been way better if they had used fresh jackfruit instead of canned but overall fool quality was amazing!
Spice Klub is a good attempt. But it falls short in a few areas:
- Service ( though they have a note stating the shortness of staff they are experiencing due to Covid), but they can still get creative on how to cater to hungry people waiting endlessly for someone to come and take their order
- Drinks- The drinks here are very high in Sugar!! So much so that they just taste like sweet water.
- Food- is hit or miss. Their main course is good- palak paneer, naans, rumali, paneer makhani etc. Pani Puri is presented very creatively but lacked a punch in taste. Galouti kabab was not good (very strong Garam masala)
I would give them 100/100 for presentation. They have tried hard to present dishes and drinks creatively but that’s it. They need to focus on the flavors and they could take the restaurant to the next level of quality. I wish them the best.
I wasn’t expecting to spend $250 for dinner, but that’s OK. For Indian food that’s a lot...lol. Tasted all good though. I’ll come here maybe twice a year at the price point.
Very interesting take on Indian food. Loved the presentation and the taste. The breads are in the smaller side as are deserts (if you plan to share).
The service left something to be desired, but it maybe due to covid challenges.
Great food presentation, would definitely visit again.
I found deserts better then appetizers.
Excellent menu selection & great variety of vegetarian dishes
- Good ambiance
- Good appetizers
- Even with a reservation, we were asked to wait outside for 20 mins. Due to this, we had to place our fnal order even before we started eating as the kitchen was getting closed.
- Entrees are not worth the price. We ordered two entrees, both were sub-par
2. Creative and decorative food ideas
3. Decent ambience
This place offers Indian food with a twist while still preserving the core elements of it. Good value for money and a decent ambience. Would definitely recommend it to friends and family!
Food was good. Service can be better. Server gave us the bill before desert was given
Loved everything we ate. The food is well presented and very tasty as well. I look forward to having some of the other dishes next time.
The tables seem ok for an upscale place like this, that was something I noticed.
Awesome Food,, Enjoy a lot
My ratings are based on comparing the restaurant to other restaurants in this price category. Very unique twist on traditional Indian food, excellent presentation. Service, ambience and overall experience leaves a lot to be desired. More detee are lies review on Yelp.
The appetizers were good but the entrees tasted like frozen Indian food. I told the waitress when she asked how everything was but nobody did anything about it. It was a really disappointing experience.
The food is amazing. I have been to this place 4-5 times in the last 3 months and I have no complaints about the food.
But the only thing that is sad is, the service only got worse after each visit!
finally tried this place. food was good ! We were little disappointed in beginning as their famous vada pav was out of stock, but later food orders were great ! one of the worker Maria was also super helpful later .
it's different, and it's the premier product in the Silicon Valley market.
Worst restaurant experience ever in the Bay Area . We had reservations , and went on time . No one was around the front desk to check us in , waited for 10 mins before someone acknowledged we were waiting ( although staff kept walking by in all directions) . Same experience after we were seated. The sever came but before taking our order got distracted to attend to other customers. Food was below par for the exorbitant prices .
Please do not eat their chaat items ( total let down for any indian standard) . And to top it all we all landed with an upset stomach the next morning .
Definitely not expecting this from a fine dining restaurant
Food was overpriced and not that great. The presentation was amazing.
Nice ambience. Good service. Everyone was wearing masks all time. Patio and indoor both are open and pretty good. Food is good. Little creamy. The quantity is super less compare to the high price. Appetizer and deserts have good varieties and nice presentation. The curry are ordinary bit high price. It is good for occasional visit
I wish they would focus more on the taste than the presentation. Pricey but flavors were not worth it
Had a great time with family. We prefer Jain food and the taste was really great! Enjoyed all the courses of meal.
If you have had spice Klub in Bombay you'll be pretty happy with the one in bay area. If you've not highly recommend it. Feature dishes are the appetizers and desserts. Spend most of ur appetite on them. Dum biryani is also pretty good. Will definitely be back
Finally a restaurant of Mumbai standard in Bay Area. have been their Mumbai branch in lower Parel and love their appetizers , desserts and drinks. Definitely going there again to taste more ....
Too much emphasis on presentation but the food was mediocre.
Very creative food with excellent presentation. We had an enjoyable time. Highly recommended.
Desserts, appetizers and drinks very magnificent and unique.
Elegant, tasty and fun. We had a delicious meal. Loved it.
Wonderful food and ambience. 5 stars for everything
