Spice Symphony - 31st St
Excellent food, service, ambience. Full bar available. One of the best Indian food if not the best I have tried so far. Highly recommended
My lamb Daniwal and the Manchurian vegetable accompaniment/starter were delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful. I recommend it.
Inspite of having reservations we had to wait 20 minutes. When we asked the manager why do we need to wait he mentioned they had nothing to do with open table.
So I had suggested they shouldn’t take reservations if they can’t honor it or else it defeats the purpose of using a great app like open table. Our server was really nice and the food was great. But I wouldn’t go back there , as the manager was unapologetic about our wait for more than 20 min.
Excellent food and service!! Will definitely go back!
Had an abosutely incredible time. Service was exceptional, waiters were kind, quick, and very courteous. The food was outstanding, some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had. Could not recommend more highly.
Great food and very attentive wait staff!
Great food. My go to Indian spot in NY. It doesn’t get better than this in value.
We've eaten at over 40 different Indian restaurants in NJ/NY/India and found Spice Symphony to be in the top 10%. Very good food spiced just right with an attentive staff.
Excellent Indian food. Reasonable prices and very good service. The tandori lambchops are a winner! We will definitely be returning.
Good food overall. Some difficulty understanding our waiter. Appetizers came quickly and were delicious. Lamb and shrimp were labeled as medium spiced and had just the right amount of heat. One fish dish was a bit too salty. Lentils came late but tasted the best! We appreciated being able to linger at the table without feeling rushed, chatting for a while after the check was paid.
I love this place. The food is delicious, the service attentive, and it’s an excellent value. I highly recommend.
I am a vegetarian.. thus, Indian food lover! This place has it all :) we enjoyed the diversity of foods and the service was impeccable. The waiters were also nice and funny! I had the Baingan Bartha - baby eggplants in coconut milk and the sauce was spectacular .. we had chutney, well done and not sour; some, at the table, had the classical chicken tikka masala and were happy with it, the biryani lamb was very successful.. all wonderful!
I will come back !
Great service, amazing food
Was delicious and well priced. Service was friendly and attentive
I was comfortable as a single diner. Extremely happy with the amuse bouche and spinach chaat to start. The salmon tikka was a mistake. I don’t know if it was previously frozen or just over-cooked, but it really didn’t taste good at all. I compounded my mistake by not complaining immediately. The accompanying green sauce helped a bit, and they brought me some raita. I left about half of of the salmon uneaten, too late to ask for something else.
But when I described how unpleasant it tasted, I was told that no Indian would order fish alone, and that a side dish would have improved the experience. I was still hungry so I got a coconut ice cream (panna), which was delicious. But was kind of surprised that I was charged in full for the salmon and for the dessert. I wouldn’t discourage anyone from eating here, however.
Delicious food. I did not see what I wanted on the menu, but when I asked them about it, they were happy to make it for me. Ate dinner with 3 others and they were all happy with their choices.
An interesting location, and the menu is a mix of chinese and indian food. So we mixed and matched our dishes between chinese/asian and indian. That was surprisingly good. Maybe the countries wouldn't fight so much if they tried that themselves! Staff were friendly, eager to please. The place is small and filled up quickly; luckily we had reservations. Very good meal; we'll probably go back next time we are in NYC
Delicious food, great service, nice ambiance-we would definitely go back! Yum!
Outstanding as always - great food, wine, service, and ambiance. Always a pleasure to dine here, and continue to be very happy to recommend this restaurant to others.
Spice Symphony takes great pride in the way it prepares and presents its food. Everything was delicious. The Tandoori lamb chops were delectable and the chicken vindaloo was the best I’ve had in a very long time. Service was attentive and professional. We cannot wait to return.
Super friendly and attentive staff helped make an impromptu birthday celebration / mini family reunion a great night out for all. Everyone enjoyed the food. In particular, the Indo-Chinese dishes are a treat (loved the Paneer Szechaun!) and the cocktail menu is surprisingly sophisticated. Three cocktails in I left a big tip not noticing a service charge had already been included for our party of 10 and the servers brought it to my attention and allowed me to correct it. Looking forward to going back with a smaller group and trying more of the menu.
Delicious food and great service by a friendly staff
Amazing food!!! This is great place for Indo Chinese food...
Their Indo Chinese food was exceptional.
Cozy restaurant with very decent offerings of standard Indian food. The Indian Chinese entrees were very good and are recommended.
Spice Symphony exceeded our expectations! From start to finish the experience was outstanding with regard to service, food, etc. Highly recommend!
We love this place! The food is excellent and the service is always amazing. We always feel very welcome there and never leave disappointed.
Food was scrumptious. Waiter was outstanding!
Always a great meal. Friendly service, great food, great value.
We made reservations for 8 people on a friday night, and the restaurant was very helpful allowing us to be seated and order appetizers as we arrived since some of our party ran late. It was all delicious, the wine was great, the service unbelievable, and the cost so reasonable!! This will now be our regular spot for Indian food in NYC!
Everything worked: prompt service, good food. I will go back.
Place is good for fine dining, food is delicious and restaurant staff is very friendly .. Definitely must visit place for Indo-Chinese lovers.. they have special cocktail “Konkan Coast” which is very unique .. Would recommend this restaurant to friends & family..
Spice Symphony was amazing, it was my girlfriend’s and I first time eating indian and the employees were so nice about it. Our server, Ninad was excellent and took care of us really well. Amazing service, amazing food, and amazing prices. This has been by far the best service I have ever received.
Always an outstanding experience! - both the food and the service
We tried several appetizers, the nan and several 3 entrees. The service was exceptional and the food delicious.
Overall a very good experience with spicy Indian food, very well prepared with excellent service and good value
The staff at Spice Symphony was extremely accommodating, professional, and friendly. Every dish that we had was delicious especially the New Dehli chaat and tikka masala. Will definitely be returning!
A group of five of us had dinner at Spice Synphony. As the name suggest the food was full of flavor with all the different spices. We were able to order several dishes and share with each other. It was also value for money. I would definitely return when next I am in New York.
Decent food but poor service, specially if you are not white. Very small space. There are lot of great Indian places in NYC. Don't waste your time with this one.
We enjoyed chicken biryani (on the spicy side which we like) and spinach paneer. Very good service and excellent value. Highly recommend
