Booked a table in restaurant,when we got there we were placed in the bar area.we were a table of 11,There was only enough room for 10 so we had to get another table to add to ours.Then we were told menus are over there choose then come over to the bar to order.Had to find someone to clean all 4 tables as they were sticky.Food was just ok

The Sunday roast lunches are absolutely gorgeous and are truly worth every penny for the freshness of the food cooked and the extra dish of cauliflower cheese coming as standard, rather than an "added extra". The toffee sponge and custard dessert is also to die for if (like us) you have a sweet tooth. It'll be very hard to beat the Spice Ship's service & menu.

We were staying at sea view and were surprised how close (3 minutes walk) the pub is away - what with good food- great value and brilliant service - cheaper than eating at the campground too - we have booked again for Sunday lunchtime and can take the dog - beer choice was good 👍

It was the first time we had been to the Spice Ship as we were on holiday in Weymouth and i booked the table on line the previous evening . As soon as we arrived we were given an option of two table to sit and have our meal. The waiter wasted no time in bringing over the menu's and took our drinks order . There was only the two of us so only myself had a starter . The starter was brought over within 10 minutes and was warm and very tasty . The main courses were brought over and were quite big portions , were presented very well , warm and tasty . Only myself had a sweet which was brought over within 10 minutes of finishing the main course . During the meal the waiter did come over to ask if we required more drinks . The meal and drinks were very good value for money considering the size of the meals . It was our last night of our holiday so we did not return again but would recommend the Spice Ship to anyone who wanted a good meal in pleasant surroundings.

Amazing food as usual. Little disappointed with our table. It was half in one dining area and half in the other, a little strange. Don't know if it was an add on, but I booked well in advance.

Food was very good, we could only book for 8 pm, but there were only 4 tables in use when we arrived, and by 9 pm one of the waitresses started hoovering the carpet in the restaurant. We paid our bill and left just after 9! Was slightly disappointed as it was a birthday meal.

Food ok, bit average. Service ok, didn’t come back to check on meals, or offer sauces/condiments - had to ask for things repeatedly.

The room was lovely and the food was really nice. A great place to stay. The landlord and staff were very friendly. I would definitely recommend staying here.
