£18.99 for trio of meats roast dinner on Easter Sunday. Very small amount of meat. One very small (think malteasar size) rock hard stuffing ball. The menu said it came with a pig in blanket, but was not on our plate.. when we asked for the pig in blankets, we were told they didn't have any. We were still charged the £18.99 despite not having the full meal. We had to go to bar the order drinks as nobody came to take our order. We left very disappointed this Easter Sunday.

Our table was ready when we arrived in the dog friendly bar area. We were served quickly and the food was not as hot as we would of like. The item I ordered although on the specials board was unavailable. The pub did have quite a noisy group of people at one end of the bar but it was a celebration so you expect it in a group. Our first experience was good and we would definitely go back

Good food but extremely slow service. Manager said it was because the roasts take a lot of time to plate up… we asked if they had a lot of walk ins but they said all bookings, so they knew what to expect. staff were complaining there were not enough staff rostered on. Feels like they were being greedy with too many covers and not enough staff. Table booked for 2pm and meals not served until 3.30pm…

Friendly staff. I will give you some facts and leave you to make your mind up. Had to return wine glasses as dirty. Had to ask for wine cooler. Offered to take drinks order, no wine list, just offered two white wines with no price known. We're advised food wait was 30 minutes - good idea. When came to take food order were told that no main meal specials were available - fortunately we had back up choice. A while later we were asked if it was OK to bring out starter (one for sharing) could come out with main meals. We accepted. Meals - gammon, eggs, chips etc - good plate of food, well cooked and tasty. Steak and ale pie, made and peas - pie good, peas v small portion, mash only hot in part nearest centre of plate (obviously microwaved) Fish, chips and peas - chips and peas fine. Fish should have never left the kitchen - totally overcooked. Very brown batter, limited fish when you could extract it from batter and consequently dry - price was deducted from bill. Will continue to use as a pub but not to eat.
