   Very nice food, not at all greasy and the naan breads are a manageable size. Very pleasant interior, excellent service especially considering it was a match day. Lovely wine glasses, decent wine list. My only criticisms would be that the menu is insufficiently varied, with only a few main courses to choose from and the toilets were in a bit of a state as they don't seem to flush properly. That really needs attention as it spoilt an otherwise very pleasant experience.

   We went to the Spice Quarter on a Match day Nov 5th, so we sort of knew it would be busy but that was ok. It was the Food that let them down, we went for their Celebration Menu, a choice to try all of the Starters and 1 main dish including Rice and Nan all for £31.99 way overpriced for what we received. It wasn’t worth the money that’s for sure, both of our 4 Starters were cold and to be honest not very good to look at either, for mains I had the Translucent King Prawn Jalfrezi and my son had the Chicken Tikka Masala, to the point!!….both of our Sauces were exactly the same except my Jalfrezi had some chilli powder and raw vegetables put in it, it was horrible AND we had to pay extra for our Sweets which took an age to arrive. No Coffee either?? In all a total waste of money and we both said we would never venture in there again…..

   Booked for a Saturday lunch, my partner was taken ill earlier so I was unaccompanied. It hardly mattered, the restaurant was empty and there was no other guest for over 40-50 minutes. So, no ambience. However, tables were all beautifully laid out and there is plenty of space. Menu is somewhat different to many Indian restaurants, but all the better for that. Food was excellent....delicious, well-cooked and very moreish. My starter, Murg Trio (basically, chicken cooked 3 ways) was really tasty. As a main, the prawn & coconut curry with coconut rice was also a winner. Tiger prawn tails had been left on, and it is somewhat hard to identify which part to cut off, but so tasty.... I had lots of time so also tried a desert - Garama Masala brûlée, not extra special but a pleasant close to the meal. With poppadoms, coffee and a couple of glasses of wine the bill was £45. Seemed really good value for an excellent meal. I will be returning!

   Delicious meals - I had the sea bass which was cooked beautifully, my husband had a chicken korma which was super creamy and the meat nice and tender. Really clean, nicely spaced tables for covid purposes and a great wine selection! Would definitely recommend.

   Second time I've eaten here in the last six months. The food is not what you get from a 'typical' Indian restaurant (although that is available if you wish) Both my friend and I really love the choice and quality of the food. Service is excellent, friendly and efficient. If I'm looking for somewhere to eat in central Cardiff this is my first option. Can't recommend highly enough.

   My husband and I have been going here for years. Recently took a large group from work, my husband’s friends and for a family meal. Each time we had amazing service and food with everyone raving about the place so my husband and I now know we are not biased!
