Spice House - Cascade
Great food and atmosphere
Went there for a Mother’s Day celebration and it was perfect for her. She wanted a place with live music and outdoor seating. The food was overall good, only downside was my oxtails had more fat than meat. Otherwise great drinks, great food and great ambiance!
This was my 1st visit and I was not impressed. My son ordered Chicken I Alfredo and the sauce taste burnt. My husband had the jerk chicken and the jerk season was piled on top of the chicken. The rice was hard. Golden Krust would have been a better choice. Not sure if I will visit again.
The entire experience was absolutely excellent. Perfect time of day late afternoon. Mother’s Day Luncheon for elderly moms with very little crowd made it an excellent out. Food season to perfection and more than enough. We will definitely be returning.
It was a very nice atmosphere. The employees made my girlfriend and I feel welcome and we didn't wait long for drinks or food. The drinks were not watered down at all and were fit the Caribbean theme of the restaurant. The food was flavorful and the portions were plentiful. We will definitely be returning...My only issue was that the person who does the Hookah wasn't there so they were not available. I will call ahead in the future so I can make sure we get the full Spice House experience.
We had an amazing time! Latoya, our server, was so sweet and patient with us. We had a party of seven, which included a very excitable and in love (with Latoya) four year old. He wanted apple juice (not orange juice) and when she suggested orange, his eyes lit up and he was thrilled to have whatever she brought him.
The food was excellent. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the jerk chicken egg rolls and raves about the chicken and waffles; oxtails, and shrimp and grits.
You cannot go wrong here. The atmosphere was so soothing and pleasant. We will be back soon.
Everything was delicious
Service is confused waited a long time for service
made a reservation for 9:45 pm. Got there and wasn’t able to be sat or served because their kitchen closed at 9pm. Why allow reservations up until 10 if your kitchen closes earlier than that. Me and my friend took an Uber to get there and ended up wasting our money. Very disappointed.
OMG, it happened to be Karaoke night when we arrived. Talk about a good time! From the DJ, to the staff, to the other customers, to the Grub Hub guy picking up an order. I laughed, ate good, drank and had a great time!!
The server excellent. The food was good although the rice portion was small and cold and the cold slaw was also a very small portion. Drinks are awesome. I expected to hear Jamaican music but instead was subjected to raunchy trap. Our waiter was kind enough to give us what we asked for, Jamaican music in a Jamaican restaurant.
Amazing food!!! I would definitely recommend and return!
Great food. Cute vibe. They do have outdoor seating available which is great. Only bad ....not practicing social distancing, not consist in servers wearing mask.....not the best customer service, but food is good enough for me to go back.
The food was pretty good although my cabbage was underwhelming . Most of My guest were pleased with both the appetizers and entrees. Of the 8 guest initially only two entrees came out with the others following more than 15 minutes later. It was kind of like eating in shifts. The server was really nice and accommodating but seemed to overwhelmed at times. She was very apologetic about the the delayed entrees. The absolutely worst part of the experience is when my guest asked to see the dessert menu and were told that they do not have desserts!!!! No desserts at all. Not cool at all. I host large groups weekly but no dessert may just be a deal breaker.
Everything was great as far as the food taste but the service is slow and they are sold of if everything. Our server was nice and everything was clean but super slow service.
Our 2 servers were energetic and friendly! Great customer service and amazing food!
Food was delicious
I wish I could give Spice House more than 5 stars! We arrived for brunch and upon walking in we were greeted with Caribbean/west Indian music; and not just the main stream stuff. A WHOLE VIBE! The decor and ambiance is VERY cute and makes for a great dining experience. I started with the Sp-ICED Rum Coffee, and let me just say this is now the best thing I ever drank in my life. For apps we did the jerk chicken eggrolls and seafood dip w/ plantain. Both had an amazing depth of flavor and came to our table piping hot. I have to also mention our server was EXTREMELY kind, attentative, and accommodating. I wish I could remember her name . Now, after the appetizers, my best friend and I HAD to get THREE entrees because the food was just so good and we couldn't choose! We got the oxtail and grits, jerk chicken n waffles, and mini bakes w/salt fish. I won't get into each one seperately because EVERY SINGLE bite I had was filled with flavor and you could definitely taste the authentic Caribbean love put into the cooking.
Everything about Spice House was so amazing that although we just got home from brunch we are considering attending again for dinner.
We arrived at 7:10 for a 7pm reservation. We were seated around 7:35 pm. We did not receive our food until approximately 9:25 and were late to our engagement that followed our dinner. When our food was finally brought out, it was not what we ordered. Instead of being asked if we’d like to substitute our sides because they “ran out” they brought out sides of their choice. We were not comped on our bill in any way and spent over $100 on food that we did not order or get to enjoy.
Loved everything about this place!! the food, service, drinks and vibe was everything!!
I didn’t really enjoy anything except for the egg rolls . The pasta was over cooked. The oxtails lacked flavor and oily. The rice was a good portion and they didn’t cheat you on the shrimp and salmon. They just put too much sauce on it. But the service was great. I won’t be going back.
Servers were not wearing masks. Service was extremely slow. Bartender did not make the drinks offered on the menu.
Poor service. Out of most liquors needed to make drinks that were on menu. Wait staff not following covid protocol; not keeping on mask and properly wiping down dining tables. Food was mediocre.
Really Nice Spot Have Good Food If You Love A Kick You Should Get Them Lamb Chops
We were heading out for an evening of shenanigans. I have dined here in the past. The food was delicious except for the lamb chops being a bit too spicy for my sister. However, they quickly accommodated the taste to her liking. I had the salmon which was excellent. Keep in mind that After a certain hour gratuity is automatically added in.
Dined here with friends and enjoyed it. We each ordered something different from the menu and everything was good! Definitely recommend.
Nice spot, was short of liquor to make any mixed drinks service from staff was excellent food was good lobster mac and cheese was not as described
Came here for a secret Santa gift exchange with some of my girlfriends. Didn’t have too many complaints except most of the staff weren’t wearing masks. I suppose it was ok because no one was there. Outside of the the food and drinks are off the chain!! Definitely one of Atlanta’s premier Caribbean cuisine restaurants! I ordered jerk egg rolls for an appetizer, the jerk lamb chops with garlic mash and broccoli for dinner and the signature rum punch for my drink. Everything was amazing!!! They were out of some items I really wanted to try (fried green tomatoes & lobster). I will have to catch them when they have them. This place was so good my boyfriend and I have been back 3xs this week lol.
It was decent just mad wait time
our server was spectacular and extremely efficient. He was alone handling at least 7 tables but an exceptional job. DJ music was a bit loud to converse but it was a nice change up from most restaurants.
The food was great, and our waitress was nice... but we waited at least an hour for our food, with no compensation or apology, we asked to speak to the manager multiple times from multiple ppl and he never came and when we did see the guy that we thought to be the manager or owner, we flagged him down to come over to our table and he said ok of course, but never came. It was some guys next to us who came way after us and got there food before us, they seemed to have known the manager/owner guy... me and my friends have been meeting up going to brunch for years and this is the worst experience ever. I don’t even write reviews but this was bad... Good luck
I love this place! The food is delicious and the service is great!
I was excited to visit, and was disappointed by my food.
Food was great
Awesome Food! Good Drinks! Nice Environment!!! Definitely going back!!
Being Haitian, we have high expectations for restaurants that serve Haitian cuisine. We ordered the snapper. After digging in, we realized that it was not fully cooked and still raw. We then ordered the griot as a substitute. It was very dry, as if it was not fried fresh. The sauce did not make it better. The crab cakes and egg rolls were good though.
Unfortunately the service here is awful. The waitress stayed in her phone the entire time barely willing to provide service to her tables. Also the bar was way under stocked, they had very little alcohol on hand (couldn’t even order a margarita).
Great food, great atmosphere, great drinks and great music! The Oxtails are a must have!!!
The food and service was excellent. You can get full on the appetizers alone. The whole time I felt like I was having a truly Caribbean experience the whole time I was there.
My wife and I will return for sure. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
