Server was top notch, but food was disappointing. Waited a very long time for half of our dishes. Salads came out right away and were good. Ordered the tortilla appetizer which didn’t come out for a very long time, and when it finally did it was ice cold. Server took care of it and brought out complementary shishito peppers instead, which was nice. My main dish (pasta) came out, but my husbands steak was delayed. It didn’t come out until after I was done eating my meal. He also ordered shrimp which didn’t come out until after he was done eating his steak. I understand small plates being delivered at different times, but the spacing of our meal was all off so we were never eating together. The server was very nice and took care of us, but I expected a manager or someone to stop by given the multiple delays in our dishes and no one did. Kudos to the server for salvaging the meal for us, but was still disappointing.
Went during restaurant week! Their meal options were great! The only complaint is that some of the food was salty.
We visited Spice Finch for Philadelphia’s Restaurant Week. What a delight! Mediterranean cuisine which was a complete (and lovely!) surprise to me. A great, comprehensive menu with no shortcuts for Restaurant Week. The desserts were delicious, too. Will definitely return to Spice Finch.
It was our first time to Spike Finch, but it will not be our last. We chose the Restaurant Week special meal, but the regular menu also looked interesting. Food was well prepared, interesting in concept and served at appropriate temperatures. We were told by the waiter about how the restaurant managed getting food out at its optimum -- by serving when ready rather than making sure we got all our appetizers at the same time, etc.
I went here for restaurant week with a friend! The waitress was fantastic and checked up on us often. The vibe of the restaurant was also warm and welcoming and not too loud. And the food was good for the price, although I will say the portions were a little small. Still it was an awesome experience and I would recommend this place!
Went for a group lunch on a weekday and was very disappointed. They have a great menu and some good deals, like their Express lunch, which comes with an appetizer of flatbread with various dips. The dips were good. But all my friends got served their meals and I waited and waited. Finally, someone came out and said that my chicken flatbread had been burned and they were re-making it. It didn't come out until everyone else was almost done eating, and then it was terrible. Completely tasteless and gross, fatty pieces of chicken. As an apology, the restaurant gave us some complimentary desserts that weren't very good. I will say, though, that my side salad was good and my friend's merquez flatbread was delicious.
Overall ambience is good but would not recommend for restaurant week. The dessert there in general is just a disappointment but entrees are amazing!
Food was fresh, delicious and served with great attention to detail by a professional waitstaff. I would highly recommend it!
Excellent in all respects!
We went for restaurant week. We had never heard of this restaurant and just took a shot. It was fabulous. From start to finish our waiter was very attentive but not intrusive. The food was both gorgeous and very tasty.
A wonderfully inspired menu, with new ways of offering food with a Mediterranean flair.
As always, a delightful experience. The flavors are unique and a nice break from the usual food in other restaurants.
The kitchen took forever to get our food. Both the lunch and the wait for the dessert was excruciatingly long.
Great restaurant! Would love to go again! Service was a bit slow and sparce but it appeared like a heavy flow of unexpected reservations came in. Menu was great for Restaurant Week!!
Everything was great! They have a great restaurant week menu and wine pairing
This is the second time I've tried Spice Finch. The first time I went, they had recently opened and it seemed like they had a few kinks to figure out, so I cut them some slack. It was just a friend and I, and it took forever to get food and drinks. In addition to that, our waiter was incredibly rude. I decided to give them another chance for my birthday brunch - and it seems like they just can't get it together. Granted, we were a large group. But to wait nearly an hour for our first course (which was dip and crisps/vegetables)... unacceptable. Our group was extremely confused why we weren't being updated on our food order, and it seems like we weren't the only ones. Looking around the restaurant, other patrons seemed irritated. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt after my first visit there, but I will not be returning after this second visit.
An excellent dining experience! My friend and I decided late to go there, and while wanted an 8:00 reservation they only had an 8:45. We grabbed it and met at the bar at 8:00, where we were able to get seats pretty quickly, and happily dined there.
Although it was restaurant week, neither of us get dessert often and we opted for a la carte. We shared the amazing flatbread (Suraya, should take note!) with garlic yogurt and lemon yogurt, the succulent pork belly, and perfectly cooked dry rubbed chicken with muhamarra (red pepper and walnut spread), potato, and zucchini. Everything was wonderful. We both said we need to go more often.
Very good food and service
I really wanted to like this place since I love Mediterranean food and it's a convenient location. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and service was decent, but the food was mediocre at best. Most of the food was rather bland and overpriced, and the desserts were TINY.
My boyfriend and I dined at Spice Finch for restaurant week and we loved for the most part every dish that was put on our table. For the first course we ordered the shishito peppers and broccoli tabbouleh which i highly recommend. The tabbouleh was so light and refreshing despite having quite a large serving of it. This was followed by the whole roasted fish (black bass) as well as the chili chicken kebab. Both were also outstanding. The only parts of my meal which were lackluster were the desserts. We got both options to split and I would pass on them if I dined there in the future. In addition the service was so-so. Our waiter was nice enough but brought our wine pairings over to our table after we were pretty much done with our second course which was disappointing and we waited over 20 minutes for our bill because he had taken our card and forgot about it during that time. I understand that things get crazy though during this time so I would still rate it an overall good experience despite the few hiccups and would return again.
We were there as first timers during restaurant week. Can't say we were surprised bec we've heard so much about Spice Finch. The meal, the service and the ambiance exceeded our expectations. We asked for a (relatively) quiet space and we were rewarded with being in the back room which delighted us. Don't miss the tortilla, the fish, and plan a trip with as many people as there are desserts on the menu so you can order one of each! You won't be sorry.
Restaurant week menu was a great value. The two of us were seated in the very back, which was pretty tight spacing, but much quieter than the room in front. The food and drinks were delicious, especially the whole fish and the chocolate tahini cake. The wine pairing pours were quite generous.
Nice meal. Excellent service
Food was great! Seating was a little tight but did not detract from the excellent wait staff or meal.
My first time trying Spice Finch was during restaurant week and they did not disappoint! I loved the plating of everything and how colorful it was. Everything was as expected and resembled the imagery/presence on social media.
Highly recommend the sea bass (it’s comes with rice and sumac butter over it. It will blow your mind) the chilli Kebabs and any of the salads or drinks🙌🏾
Delicious food! Our server Rich was great and always had a smile on his face! After dinner we sat at the bar for another drink. All the bartenders were friendly and offered a great selection of specialty cocktails. Will definitely be returning.
Excellent lunch. Love the merguez sausage and I don't usually eat meat.
Interesting menu with emphasis on vegetarian dishes, but not exclusively. Great space and decor, service was excellent.
We went for dinner during Restaurant Week and were thoroughly disappointed. The food was just okay, small portions, and service was horrible. It took about 45 minutes for the second course to come out after the first course. Really thought this place would have better food from what I’ve heard from friends. Maybe restaurant week just isn’t their thing and their full menu is better, but I don’t know if I will be retiring to try it out.

Relaxed atmosphere. Service friendly and timely. Food delicious..
Excellent food with a lot of flavor! Great service and atmosphere.
We were there for lunch during Restaurant Week and it was a steal, as was the wine pairing. We both loved our entrees - I had the burger and my wife had a salad. Everything was wonderful.
Thank you for leaving a review! We are so glad you enjoyed your meal, and took advantage of the wine pairing. We hope to see you back again for dinner sometime!
Amazing food and service. One of the best Mediterranean in the city hands down.
I loved my dinner at Spice Finch. I thoroughly enjoyed all of my food, our server was fantastic and the atmosphere was great. I will definitely be going back again.
We waited over an hour for appetizers. We felt neglected by the server. The food was not good. Shrimp had a foul smell.
This place exceeded my expectations, the food and drinks were amazing!
Thank you so much for leaving a review! We look forward to your next visit!
We were here during Restaurant Week and chose that menu. Dishes were all very good, nicely spiced, and good mixes of ingredients. Portion sizes for the shrimp dish and date dessert were small. Time between first and second courses was a bit excessive (over 30 minutes), with the fish arriving about 10 minutes after the other dishes. We were not rushed, and enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. Prices on the drinks were pretty high, but prices for food were very reasonable. Overall, a very enjoyable experience. We will definitely go again.
Thank you for joining us for Restaurant Week, and leaving a detailed review! We are glad you enjoyed the food, but apologize if the pace of the meal was not what you expected. We always take feedback like yours seriously in order to improve how we present food to the table in a way that suits our style of service and pleases guests.
The food here is unique. It’s kind of like Mediterranean meets Middle Eastern. The combinations like pan fried cheese with sauteed cherry tomatoes and spices, chickpeas with mint are interesting and on the healthy side too. The restaurant also has a chic, well heeled vibe. It’s located in the recently renovated Warwick Hotel whose foyer with its lounge and crackling fire is perfect for a nightcap.
Thank you for leaving a review, Dewey! We're glad to hear our Mediterranean and lighter fare-inspired menu resonated with you, as the goal of the restaurant is to offer unique foods that our chefs like to eat and share them with our guests. We couldn't agree more that the ambiance in the hotel compliments the vibe in the restaurant!
We opted for the Chefs tasting for our group of 6 which was fantastic, plenty of food and lots of variety. Our server Liviu was on point throughout our whole meal and extremely pleasant. Very nice wine list, approachable and affordable. A great spot to bring your vegetarian and pescatarian friends.
We really appreciate your review, Elizabeth! The Chef's Tasting is a wonderful way to get a full 'tour' of the menu and taste items you might not typically opt for, so we are very pleased to hear that you enjoyed it. We will relay the positive feedback to your server, as they work very hard to ensure guests have the best dining experience they can with us. Thanks again for coming in, we look forward to having you join us again in the near future!
Amazing food! Spot on service, really good cocktails.
We're so glad you enjoyed the cocktails! Be sure to stop by during Restaurant Week until January 24th and try out two specialty cocktails featuring Roku Gin and Suntory Whiskey!
