Spiaggetta Italian Seafood Trattoria
In the kitchen we pay strong attention to details and
use the freshest local ingredients.
Spiaggetta, our namesake, means "little beach" in Italian. When you're here, it sure feels like you're on a little beach in Italy though. We go through great lengths to ensure an authentic experience, from hand making our own pastas, to sticking to traditional Italian kitchen rules when we source only the best, freshest local ingredients for their flavor. The Tarantino family excitedly welcomes you to see what real Italian food and hospitality is like, and invites you to spend a night in their dining room in the same way a close friend would host a dinner party. We'll expertly prepare delicious Branzino or serve our handmade gnocchi as if we were trying to impress our mothers.
At Spiaggetta, you're always assured of three things: fresh fish, handmade past and Italian hospitality. We can't wait to seat you!
Great place for a super meal. Price is a little high but you get so much you will have enough for lunch or dinner the next day. Everything tasted great and we had a very attentive waitress. The noise level was perfect so we could hear each other even though the place was busy. We will go back again for sure.
Food is delicious. Not huge portions and a little pricey. The owners are always there. Grandma hand picks the basil and makes delicious homemade pasta. You have to try her homemade gnocchi. You won't find it better anywhere else!
Spiagetta has received a complete renovation with new floors, ceiling, soft lighting and new outfits for servers. It has an enhanced "Seashore" feel making it even more welcoming. The menu has been streamlined to accentuate classic Italian fare. Food quality (and quantity) is outstanding with flawless execution of classic Italian dishes. I can personally recommend the Seafood ceviche (Large portion), the timeless spaghetti and meatballs (a special, flavorful Sicilian treat) and of course the gnocchi!!! You will not be disappointed with this solid choice for excellent Italian food at the Seashore.
The food is really overpriced for what you get. One of our group had the Cacio e Pepe, a very basic pasta dish with a butter sauce, seasoning and pecorino (no protein or vegetables) and it was $29. A very small, grilled octopus appetizer (literally 4-5 small finger-sized pieces) goes for $25. Aside from the prices, the flavors were pretty meh. The gnocchi was very bland, as were other pasta dishes. I was also put off by the maitre d. We were a party of 10 and he put us at a long table. I inquired about the availability of a round table nearby. Instead of simply saying that it was reserved, he made me feel presumptuous for even asking. It was a weird exchange.
Always make sure to have dinner here at least once per summer. Everything we ordered was delicious. The homemade pasta is a must. Portions are very generous.
Best place in Stone Harbor for a terrific Italian style dinner. great atmosphere, service and of course the food is second to none.
Went for family dinner. All was good. Portions large . Attentive wait staff.
I ordered a Flounder al Forno which was described with a
Piccata sauce and baked. When it arrived, there was 3/4 cup of breadcrumbs on top. Baked? Couldn’t tell. The breadcrumbs absorbed any “sauce” that was supposed to there. After scrapping off all the breadcrumbs, the flounder was like mush. Dry mush. How an experienced chef can come up with this mess is beyond me. My wife ordered the Salmon which also sounded delicious but after over cooking the fillet, it was extremely dried out. Both entrees were $30+ so no value here. Very disappointing. Will not return. You would have to have no idea concerning good food to enjoy that meal.
Very enjoyable dinner with my daughter and granddaughter.
We really enjoyed our visit and the food. Most of us were very happy with their food and all of enjoyed the ambiance and the service. The only reason I did not give it a top rating was that my Chicken Marsala was mediocre - the sauce was a bit salty and flavorless. I also thought the prices were a bit high for the value.
Food very good but super pricy. 6 lobster ravioli for $37.....should be an entire lobster in those!
Great food and wonderful service as always
We had great food and service. The gnocchi was from scratch and the spagetti and meatballs were good. Loved the food and would highly recommend.
The staff was very patient and helpful, the food came out in a timely manner and all 9 adults loved their food. Must try the burratta
Our friends 22nd anniversary 🌹 and the atmosphere, service & food were SPECTACULAR
Great find for the Jersey Shore right in the heart of Stone Harbor
Brooke was our server and she & the whole crew were on top of it!
Not overbearing, A+ hospitality & service - a true HOME RUN!
We each ordered a different meal from Bronzino to pasta dishes & they were cooked to perfection
Rich taste, very palatable and authentic Italian food
The place was small, quaint with a very homey feel with enough room for everyone to be comfortable, cool and serviced with a smile.
You have 4 regulars moving forward!!!
Awesome food! Great service!
Great service & food. Accommodated my dietary restrictions. Owners are the best.
It is the only restaurant that we go to in in stone harbor
This was our first visit to a Stone Harbor restaurant and we will definitely come back to Spiaggetta. The food was excellent; Roxy our server was very attentive and helpful; and the serving sizes were perfect. We enjoyed our food and the atmosphere. Loved it. The only complaint I haf was the $8.00 bottle of water...my fault: I meant to say tap znd I daid flat. Not a big deal, next time I'll remember.
Food was good, not great, and very expensive for one of a dozen Italian restaurants in town. Service was awful with no apologies. Will not return.
Food was not to our liking
My daughters dinner was brought out 20 minutes before everyone else’s. We didn’t ask for hers to be brought out right away. I couldn’t even get my waitresses attention to ask why or where our other dinners were. We were never offered more refills on drinks even though our drinks were empty when our meals were finally brought out. The gnocchi was bland. The other dishes ( chicken parm, spaghetti & meatball, and fettuccini was fine). Average Italian food with awful service.
Very nice. They were able to take us early and the staff was friendly.
We had a great experience. The food was outstanding. Will definitely be back again and have already recommended it to friends.
Awesome fresh seafood and homemade pasta. A fantastic couples dinner. We visit at least once every time we are in Stone Harbor/Avalon.
Delicious food and great service. Home made gnocchi was the best I ever had. And that says a lot from a person from New York. It’s a BYO. If you forget to bring something you can order from Fred’s Liquor store in town and they will deliver.
Fantastic meal and fantastic service. The owner and staff were attentive and accommodating. The ingredients were Fresh. The menu was current with a wide variety of choices. I’ve eaten here probably 50 times and never had a disappointing experience.
Consistently excellent. We return to this restaurant each year while on vacation and it never disappoints. Food is delicious and special attention is paid to excellent service. There are many Italian restaurants on the southern Jersey shore - this is the one to visit.
We have visited this restaurant about 6 times in the past three years. Always have a wonderful time. We like to be seated early at 5:30 before it gets really busy. Because it can get really busy and we like it at a slower pace and quieter. The food is always very satisfying and high quality. We are very picky Italians (Mom was known for her Italian dishes) and this place gets an A+ every time from us.
Excellent food, service and vibe. Great that the owner checks on tables whether he knows you or not. We’ll return every time we’re at the beach!!
On the plus side, the food was very good as was our server. The menu here is limited and the specials only consisted of appetizers. My wife and I did wait an extremely long time for our entrees. The server was aware of the long wait and managed our expectations nicely though made no offering as a good will gesture.
Enjoyed everything about this restaurant. The food was delicious , ambiance so peaceful and a wonderful waitress Emanuella. We could not have had a better dinner with our granddaughters. They loved it too!
Birthday dinner with my girlfriend. Amazingly redone interior and always amazing food. 10 of 10 would recommend.
Nice ambience and attentive service. The menu was interesting. The food was good. The rum cake dessert was excellent. We had an enjoyable dining experience.
Everything , from the several selections of excellent dishes to the friendly services and the owner Marco is excellent. Spiaggetta is y favorite restaurant in Avalon - Atone Harbor. I go their with my husband every week. Andrea Kantor
Great place, always a great experience. Great new decor , the Cacio & Pepe is like eating in Rome.
Highly reccomended (from a local and a foodie)
Loved the food here , truly excellent quality Italian fare ! Fancy for an every day place , service outstanding
Nicely updated interior, good food & excellent service.
Lovely restaurant in pricey Stone Harbor ! Expected homemade spagetti for the price ! Only certain pastas are homemade (3 types) ! Unable to order the dessert on the special menu (Flan)
Doubt that I will return 🙄
