Spiaggetta Italian Seafood Trattoria
In the kitchen we pay strong attention to details and
use the freshest local ingredients.
Spiaggetta, our namesake, means "little beach" in Italian. When you're here, it sure feels like you're on a little beach in Italy though. We go through great lengths to ensure an authentic experience, from hand making our own pastas, to sticking to traditional Italian kitchen rules when we source only the best, freshest local ingredients for their flavor. The Tarantino family excitedly welcomes you to see what real Italian food and hospitality is like, and invites you to spend a night in their dining room in the same way a close friend would host a dinner party. We'll expertly prepare delicious Branzino or serve our handmade gnocchi as if we were trying to impress our mothers.
At Spiaggetta, you're always assured of three things: fresh fish, handmade past and Italian hospitality. We can't wait to seat you!
Pasta dishes are fantastic
The food was good, the service was terrible!! We were given water at the time of sitting at the table, in which we ordered bottle, and once we finished that were never asked again if we wanted anything to drink! We were never told the specials, as a matter of fact the waiter actually seemed annoyed that we were there!!! The next day we also found out that our credit card was charged twice, and not the same amount so it didn’t seem to be an honest mistake!! Def taking this place off the list, the food was good but not good enough to pay twice and not be treated like you are a nuisance to someone you are going to tip at the end of your meal!
Everything about Spiaggetta is outstanding. The ambiance supports a fine dining experience, and the food is excellent. Our server, Dineen, was charming and interacted with us in a very entertaining manner - love her and will ask for her again. Table linens, ample space between tables making conversation easy, BYOB, charming staff, and superb cuisine make this one of the best restaurants I have ever dined in, and I've been dining out for 50+ years!
Delicious! Excellent service and welcoming atmosphere. Always a pleasure to dine here.
The ambiance was great. Everyone was friendly. But it was my entree that I had a problem with.
My husband and I shared the beet salad and it was good.
I ordered the chicken parmesan with ziti. The ziti was tasty and the sauce had good flavor but the chicken was so rubbery I couldn't chew it. I kept spitting it out. That was something I don't understand.
When you go to a supposedly good Italian restaurant you expect the chicken parmesan to be excellent but it was inedible. The manager (owner?) offered to make me another entree but by that time I was partly full and didn't want to wait for another meal to be cooked. They comped my dinner.
At some point I will go back again. I just won't order chicken.
Always a pleasure when I dine here, never disappointed food is always fantastic!
Our waiter was very overwhelmed. Service was slow. I had a welcome certificate from the restaurant for joining their club, for a complimentary cannoli. He came back and said there were no cannolis tonight. Then walked away. He later came back & asked if we wanted desert. We ordered the chocolate mousse cake (which was delicious) and we were charged full price. The entree and appetizer were good....average. I made reservations stating that it was a birthday and no acknowledgement was made. It was a very busy Saturday night....but I still expected a bit more.
Ten people, several appetizers, the suppli', the rolatini, all different entrees, the cacio e pepe, the gnocchi.
eight desserts, Italian Rum Cake, Tiramisu, SPECTACULAR. Great restaurant for groups with a lots of round tables, great service by well trained servers. Kudos to the owner Marco and his team. Family restaurant Owner and his wife always present. Thank you for creating great memories. I will be back and bring more people I know Spiaggetta will not disappoint.
Great restaurant, fantastic service and I can't wait to go back! My wife and I dined at Spiagetta's on Saturday, September 14th ... it was one of those memorable two hour+ Italian meals. I wish I could remember our waitresses name ... because she was the best. We were relaxed, never felt rushed and the food arrived when we wanted it. As a starter we ordered the long hot peppers with the Italian bread ... they were an exceptional way to start our meal. I also had the eggplant rolatini which was done just right. For an entree I had veal adriatica ... I only order veal at quality Italian restaurants and Spiaggetta's prepared it just right as it was the most tender veal I have ever had. Thank you Spiagetta's for a memorable meal. We will be back soon!
Spiaggetta was a great experience. Nice atmosphere, waiter was friendly, and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back.
We love it here!! Our fav at the shore !
Our server was fabulous but two of 6 entrees were just ok. We will come back though.
First visit! Wonderful meal!
We enjoy the consistently good food and wonderful service.
Always the absolute best! Great service, OUTSTANDING FOOD!!!! We keep coming back over and over!
Pure gem of an Italian restaurant. I wish I could give it more than the maximum 5 stars. The owner Marco (actual Italian from Rome) is personally involved with every level of the dining experience. Knows my name, my kids names, my favorite appetizer...he is amazing.
The food quality, freshness, flavor is "world class". Grandma's (Nonna) Gnocchi is made by her on premises and its spectacular. Waitress, Manuela said Nonna also makes the Italian Rum cake we enjoyed. It was so good, I had to give Nonna a hug after dinner... she accepted without hesitation.
Great food, comfortable no-rush atmosphere, smart friendly waitress...what else can you ask for?
My family and I have dined at Spaiggetta on several occasions this year and the food and staff have never disappointed. They treat us like family, Italian family of course.
We highly recommend and plan on returning to Spaiggetta often.
Just can’t say enough! Wonderful all around. We can’t wait to come back next year:)
Owner told us to get out so other people could eat, after our party of eight just spent $450 on a meal. We won't be back, there are plenty of places that would welcome our $450 meal
Excellent food and friendly service!! Will recommend to friends and family!!
Wonderful food with great service. Excellent ambience with reasonable noise level. Upon entering the restaurant, one receives a friendly greeting from Marco. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. Spiaggetta is a favorite place for me.
Friendly and lively with good Italian food. BYOB. The best marinara (for my taste) with moderate taste of basil.
Extremely enjoyable meal. The service was excellent, although it was busy. The salad was huge, great for sharing for 2 or 3 people. The flounder portion was also huge, but it has some white sauce on it, not so great. The branzino was a much smaller portion and I thought the polenta had no taste. We did not do dessert. I would come again.
Food and service was very good. Recommend this restaurant.
We went during off season so It was empty. My guess is it gets crowded during season. Overall food was good. Great that’s it byob.
Service was great had an excellent table even though we booked late 8 pm for 9 pm seating. Highly reccomend
Spiagetta is our favorite restaurant on the island . From May through early September , my wife and I , with family and friends, dined there five times. The food is consistently excellent , the recently remodeled dining room is nice and relatively roomy, and the service is good . The owners, Marco and Annalia , have worked hard to achieve these great results . And Grandma makes excellent pasta ! Can’t wait to go back next season .
I usually have a wonderful time, so i will still return again, but we hardly saw our server & the place was not busy. Bussers came by very often which made us feel rushed. Food was subpar.
The meal was unique and well prepared. The main entree was very tasty and ingredients fresh. Everyone commented on the quality and portions that were served. Service was excellent and all entrees came out of the kitchen at the same time.
Awesome service. Great place for a romantic dinner or dinner with friends! Food was great.
The food was delicious! The restaurant is very noisy but worth tolerating for the food. Our dinner was delivered to the table before our appetizer plates were remove which made for a very crowded table.
The food is very good but a bit pricy. Perhaps its because the restaurant is in Stone Harbor.
Service was fast, atmosphere very noisy.
Love the food and the service, but especially nice to have a parking lot to park especially in the summer
The food was excellent, especially the flounder and fettuccine alfredo. Nice ambiance and a friendly atmosphere. Daniel was especially helpful.
My potatoes and vegetable were cold - salmon was barely warm. A second entree the lobster was overcooked. The pasta with oil and garlic — the garlic was undetectable.
Marco and his wife always do a great job. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is very nice.
Food was good. Server could have been more courteous. My meal was excellent , gnocchi Bolognese! My husband ordered the veal which was a little over cooked.
All in our party who ordered pasta dishes were very happy. The one who ordered the veal was extremely unhappy.
The food was fantastic, and the portions were healthy. I would definitely recommend.
Food full of flavor. Chicken Marsala very tender! Gnocchi out of this world. Romana Salad my favorite. Our favorite Stone Harbor destination! Very friendly staff!
Marco our host/owner is always visible and checking on diners. Our server Rebecca was outstanding. She knew the menu inside out and clearly explained the specials. Lovely dinner can’t wait to go back.
