We had two filet mignons, one a Diane with delicious peppercorn sauce. They were delicious and cooked perfectly. The caesers are perfect and my caprese salad with burrata was a generous portion, shareable, and may have been the most delicious I have ever tasted. Our server carried out the fine tradition of outstanding service which we have experienced here without fail in something close to 20 visits over the past 20 years. We often stay here on the night’s before flights and always look forward to a Spencer’s dinner.
The restaurant was full, but service was great. We caught up with friends and had a great evening of food, drinks and talk.
Great food and service. Expensive.
The restaurant is in the middle of the lobby! Very noisy. Not a pleasant atmosphere at all. It was a busy night - Valentine's Day and they had a couple groups at the hotel. The online menu was out of date for both items and prices.
Valentines Day! I had reservations and it seems the hotel and restaurant are not in complete sync. 2 hour complimentary valet was told it was overbooked. They advised my party to park offsite and walk three blocks. A few people in our party decided to go elsewhere. The only reason I was able to valet was because I was on crutches for a broken foot.
I intended to go to a nice dinner for valentines at the Hilton only to experience a loud non-romantic evening full of little kids. There seem to have been some dance competition at the conference center and they all stayed at the hotel and dined there making the experience feel like a Denny’s!
Even so the food was amazing and our server was very professional and took good care of us.
Most likely I wont return for a special occasion.
Could not find parking due to an activity going on. The crab cakes were great , drinks were good but a little pricey the rest of the meal was par. We were seated by the service door so there was continuous traffic.
I didn’t know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. The food in the dining room was absolutely delicious. Cooked just right and very flavorful. My husband had the 4 course steak dinner and I ordered the chicken. Every dish was superb. The prices were high but it was definitely worth it.
The only negative was that the service in the bar before dinner was very slow. We had to keep going up to the bartender to get our drinks because the waitress would never come back with our orders. They were very busy.
Good, but expensive! Loved our waiter. Service was great and food was good.
We had to stay by airport and went to Spencer’s for dinner. The service and the quality of the food were outstanding! We shouldn’t generalize about hotel restaurants but often do, Spencer’s was definitely an exception. On of the most outstanding meals we have had in a while. Highly recommend
Christmas Day and while they were obviously short handed all that were there were busting their butts to provide timely service. Great Job
Great Christmas meal!
We had an early Saturday evening reservation and the restaurant only had a few tables seated. The service was very good. The staff was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately. I would only rate the food mediocre. Our wedge salads were not great with the lettuce just unfrozen and the blue cheese dressing was only ranch and a slice of smoked blue cheese on the plate. Two of our three steaks were under cooked and sent back. They returned with my filet now over cooked. It was eatable, but not great. At this price point I expected much better.
I was disappointed with the food
My steak was over cooked and for the prices it was very disappointing service was alright but I won’t be going back
Chef Dan makes a hotel restaurant meal a lovely experience!
Very tough steak
The service was great and our food was delicious. The menu offers a variety from seafood to steak. The creme brûlée was amazing!
Food was scrumptious! David was outstanding with his service! He even talked the receptionist into loaning her sunglasses to my wife! Spencer’s is a bit pricey but truly excellent.
I am not in the habit of leaving bad reviews...but when the quality of what used to be a special occasion meal in the past...that has declined so much...I feel the need to share.
The steaks have always been quality and cooked to perfection...this time did not disapoint.
However, beyond the steak, the rest was disapointing. In the past...a quality vegetable was served alongside the main protein. This time we got a spoonful of overcooked stirfry peppers that were being served in a teriyaki bowl fed to conventioners. What a slap in the face to be served crappy leftovers alongside a $54
The bernaise sauce, which of course was an extra charge, was too salty to eat...let alone being barely luke warm.
Another observation...after watching a busboy spill several glasses of water all over the floor at the table next to us...he never came back to clean up the mess.
It looked like a slipping accident waiting to happen.
We left feeling cheated from what used to be an enjoyable experience.
I ordered a cocktail from the bar that was bad so I sent it back
I then ordered a Manhattan and it was terrible and couldn’t drink it
The bar apparently is doing a horrible job on cocktails
I think the restaurant is way over priced for what you get
Spencer’s was great for dinner. We had lobster croquettes, beet salad, surf & turf and the salmon special. We also enjoyed breakfast there the next morning.
Overall good food, but in the pricey side.
We liked the brightness and energy in the bar area, so sat there rather than in the more formal dining section. We had a wonderful waitress, Therese and we enjoyed French onion soup and Caesar salad.
Extremely overpriced considering the mediocre quality of food and service. Would definitely not recommend.
Very poor service. In all my years of dining at Spencer’s in Spokane, SeaTac, Palm Springs etc. I have never had a more disconnected and inattentive Server. Our last couple of visits have seemed to decline. Waiting 25 minutes from drinks to Server checking on our party of 8 is a complete failure. We had planned to order appetizers but gave up on doing so. We then discussed leaving and going somewhere else but decided to try and order. When our food did arrive it just wasn’t up to previous Spencer’s visits. Our group discussed the fact we would not be returning.
If the food were really good, that would be one thing positive, but the food is mediocre at best. The wait staff is lovely but hardly polished. The prices are higher than New York City or Tokyo: Really offensive.
Love the crab cakes. My friend girl had the shrimp scampi and it was awesome. I liked the filet mignon
Limited menu. Overpriced. I would expect these prices down town bellevue or Seattle not the SeaTac Hilton...
For crab cakes as an appetizer, two side Caesar salads and one cocktail it was $75.
The cocktail was not great.
Went for Valentine's Day and even though it was busy, service was great. Steaks were very good.
Extremely cold in dining room ... Under 60 degrees ? ... Even servers were complaining ... Need better heating backup system when cold out
Terribly overpriced. Bowl of soup $25, salad $25. Would not go back
Excellent food. I was a little disappointed in the wine, but the food and service was top notch.
We enjoyed Spencers. The menu was not close to what the website said it would be. Very limited menu - maybe because it was Christmas, but....that was not a Christmas menu.
Our server, Tracy, was wonderful. No rush but timely service between courses. Friendly, but not overdone.
The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. The portion sizes were huge! It was a very pleasant dinner.
Waiter was extremely helpful in wine selection. A bit pricey for a hotel restaurant, even if a steak house.
Ahi was fishy smelling. Good fish does not smell.
Risotto was under cooked with little taste.
New York was average.
Waiter was friendly and helpful.
New York prices without quality.
The restaurant is way too bright
I ordered two appetizers, an 6 oz piece of beef, a side of veg, and two cocktails..... the bill was $150.00!! Ended up each menus item was treated as alecarte. My bad, didn’t spend the time price shopping, just thought I would order what fit my diet restrictions. Thought the staff might make it fair. Oh well, it’s a hotel restaurant. Captive audience.
We ate here for a business dinner. Service was great, food excellent, and convenient since we were staying at the hotel.
If I am going to spend $150 before tip for 2 on dinner I expect to enjoy a meal better than I could do at home. It wasn’t. I suppose it was beyond expectations for a hotel venue at SeaTac. I didn’t leave hungry, just disappointed. Over cooked fish, over priced 6 oz. strip steak that was just ok, glass of wine markup that is infuriating. Should I be so picky? Yep.
