   Server informed us that Saturday (1/7/17) was the last night they would be open for a lengthy period of time (remodeling). They were out of several menu items due to this fact. Appetizer of Brie was not very good, had to ask for bread or crackers on which to put it. Lobster was tough. My friend's pork chop looked good though.

   The food was just excellent. The mushroom soup was superb. The scallops entree was also excellent. The decor is attractive. It is somewhat noisy inside, but you can still carry on a conversation over dinner. Great place! Highly recommended!

   The food was great. The service was great. They had some nice specials in addition to the nice menu. And it's BYOB. That's a nice plus.

   Our family has a great tradition at eating out at a favorite local BYOB haunt after church services on Christmas Eve. Our traditional place was surprisingly booked, so we opted for another favorite, Spence on High. It did not disappoint. Food and service were exemplary. Nice but not too fancy, not too noisy and convenient. Highly recommend the short ribs.

   Great food and service but there was a heavy wood smoke smell in the air that permeated the dining room (and our clothes). I can only assume there was an unexpected exhaust system failure which the manager should have explained. We will try again but only after calling ahead. I'm too old for Boy Scout camp 😉.

   This restaurant has changed hands - again. Andrew Patten has left, although most of the rest of the crew seems to have stayed. We have dined her often, but for the first time since Patten took over, we had a variable experience. The octopus appetizer was wonderful, tender and perfectly grilled, as were my wife's crab cakes. However, the strip steak special was tough and full of gristle. We'll be back, especially when the enclosed patio opens, but I won't order another steak.

    Dined on a Tuesday evening and not very busy. Service was excellent and friendly. Our waiters' name was Dan and he did an excellent job. I believe it was the owner who seated us and stopped by the table several times during the evening to see if all was to our liking. Wife had the scallops which were excellent. I had the strip steak special, and enjoyed but would have preferred less sauce. Overall, really nice restaurant, friendly and excellent service, will visit again
