Even though we had a reservation, we were seated in the bar, which is extremely noisy. The food was overcooked to the point of being dry. The service was good despite it being busy.

Lots of beer choices. Good food. Limited menu. Would have liked to see potato pancakes come as a side with a few of the entrees. The bathrooms were clean. We made a reservation through Open Table for an indoor table, but somehow when we arrived for lunch, the restaurant had it as an outdoor table. So, when confirming your reservation, make certain the table is where you’d like it. Fortunately, Speisekammer was able to accommodate our request for an indoor table ( it was chilly outside).

Speisekammer is great local restaurant. I always feel like it's a little pricey for hearty straight forward German food but the food is very good. The cocktails could be a little more generous for the style of the restaurant but the star is the beer. It can get quite loud at times inside during regular dining, but the outdoor seating is very nice. Keep in mind, outside seating is bench style, so no backs. The music nights are excellent but get there early to get the best viewing of the stage. This has been a local place for a long time, but note a dispensary has opened next door and Speisekammer has been discovered.

Alex was our waiter for a party of 8. He was EXCELLENT! Very nice, water on the table all the time, very helpful with deciding what to order. First of all, there is no parking available; you must find street parking in a very busy area. The small lot adjacent is for the cannabis store next door only. There’s big servings for the entrees, but some items offer half portions ala carte. Great beer selection; very affable waitstaff. The food itself could be presented more visually appealing on the plates. Two pork cutlets thrown on top of a mound or roast potatoes—ugh. The restaurant was attentive to my special request on Open Table.

After recently coming back from Germany and trying out the food from restaurant I can honestly say it is definitely close to how they make their food in Germany. The flavors were spectacular and the display also the beers were amazing. I highly recommend this place to others.

A really fine German restaurant that realizes tha German cooking is a lot more than sausages. Menu is varied and the entrees I have tried have all been excellent. The cabbage rolls are great, but I really miss true rouladen on the menu, be it made with pickle, sausage(like my family recipe) or bacon. I guess asking for north German Grunkohl would be asking for too much. As to noise comment, I was there on Thursday night football. I could do without TV's altogether but so far the best German restaurant since Speckmann's closed.

Food was good but a bit pricey for my blood. Overall atmosphere was nice but then you get those individuals who are drinking a bit much and are loud and boisterous, it's a little bit distracting and annoying.

We always enjoy dinner, drinks and great beer at Speisekammer. The food is consistently delicious, great drink options, beers and wine selection. Fun music in the weekends. We love the seasonal specials and my husband gets especially excited when the pork shank is on the specials menu.

We have been going here for years. It has changed annoy for the better. It seems like they have a different chef or different recipes. The Sauerkraut was sweet. The Bratwurst was flavorless and seemed undercooked. The spaetzle tasted dried out and chewy like it had been sitting out all day. The table was very sticky, we asked for it to be wiped down, but that never happened. They sat a family with 2 screaming kids next us instead of seating them in the main dining area where they have kids toys. The music was loud. Overall bad experience.

We had dinner outside, basic picnic-style seating with umbrellas and heaters, which was very pleasant. The music and other guests were quiet enough to allow for conversation without being loud. :) The food was fabulous and felt like home. The staff was helpful and responsive, providing recommendations and making sure we had everything we needed. Note: Most of the menu is not low-calorie food, so keep that in mind and just enjoy the fabulous flavors.
