Great, as always. Sad that tonight was the last time we'll get to enjoy Spazzo. Hopefully, we'll get to see some of the staff at Chandler's or Daniel's, as well as some of the menu items.
Because it was their last night they did not have the Rockfish I ordered, nor the mixed drink. I ended up with a higher price drink I did not care for. The chicken piccata was good. There was too crispy a caramelization my crime brûlée. The service was good. My friend's tiramisu was good. I have been to Spazzo's many times previously.
Our first time dining here and we loved it ! Great menu with a lot of choices . Fantastic service . We will be back!
Really a great restaurant, sorry to hear they shut down, hope the Japanese steakhouse will be called Benihana when it opens in six months. Nice upgrade.
Great food and wine, good price, wonderful staff-too bad it is permanently closing. should have tried this place sooner
Our family is wishing you weren't leaving Redmond 😢
We went there for one last Spazzo visit. We're really going to miss it. We are there weekly and the food, staff, and ambiance were great. Thank you for 10 years of excellence.
I ordered chicken marsala; the presentation was horrible like someone just threw the items on the plate. No color just blah. The pasta was under cooked; not al dente but hard under cooked. The sauce had the consistency of a broth with no flavor; so everything on the plate was swimming in it. Obviously no one in the kitchen gave a sh__ ! Maybe it's because you are closing and no one cares anymore???
Great service, nice atmosphere and the food was awesome. I had the smoked salmon fetticcine and my wife had the chicken parmesan, both amazing. We will be back. Great bar scene as well.
We know Spazzo is closing Jan. 1. We really liked the flatbread and the scallops. The service was great as well.
We didn’t feel the rockfish or cod had much flavor and didn’t care for the blackened carrots. The potato fingerlings were yummy.
We had some difficulty finding the restaurant on foot.
We look forward to trying your bakeries sometime!
We have enjoyed eating here over the years. We will miss it...
Great drink and appetizer selection, however the main courses were not worth the money.
The Lamb chops - Brussel sprouts and the bacon wrapped scallops were excellent. I would order all of them again...very tasty. The meatball appetizer was good... as was the eggplant parmigiana- portion was huge.
It was kinda quiet being a Monday night - but service was excellent as were the bar drinks. Overall, a very good experience. I definitely will return next time I’m in Redmond.
We went for a get together with four friends. Not sure where Spazzo's (or is it OpenTable?) comes up with a price of $30. It's much more, even for lunch. We had four simple entrees and four desserts, four sodas for $150 before tax/tip. Service was slow, and don't count on refills, even when you ask. Food was a little above average. Lots of little kids at lunch time. We heard that this place is closing its doors in Redmond at the end of 2017. Wouldn't go back, very disappointed.
Ours was a large group (12), but we had early reservations (4:30) before the dinner rush. Our entree orders weren't taken until AFTER we finished our appetizers. Consequently, we were still waiting for our dinner at 6:00pm. Diners who arrived after us got their food first. Twice our waiter came back to say 2 different entrees we ordered were not available. The kids' meals came out first and were finished before the adults got theirs. Our hot food arrived lukewarm. The well-done filet mignon ordered was served medium. We asked for steak sauce, and rather than tell us it was not available, we were kept waiting. Our waiter was apologetic about the kitchen being "slammed." The manager seemed overwhelmed too and did nothing to alleviate the situation. The check was wrong - charged for entree they didn't have - and NO offer by the way of any form of check relief was made to compensate for everything that went wrong. We were there to celebrate 2 birthdays, but we left a 7:00pm without having had dessert. Very disappointed in this first experience at a Schwartz Bros Restaurant!
My wife and I have made Spazzo our annual special dinner restaurant for the last several years. We love the food, we love the fact that they have gluten free options, and we love the reasonable prices. What we hate is that the restaurant will be closing on New Years Day. I'm glad we didn't wait until after the New Year to have our special dinner. We will always have fond memories of you Spazzo.
The bar scene and the waitress was great. As for the food, the appetizer (Lamb) was good. Where we had problems was the entrees: My wife ordered baked rigatoni and meatballs. The order did not looked to have been baked, and the pasta and sauce tasted like it was made with canned sauce and store bought cheap pasta. Very balnd. As for myself, I ordered chicken carbonara. For some reason it came with rigatoni pasta with red sauce. Maybe it is Spazzo's recipe, but I was expecting long noodles (spaghetti) with a white sauce.
To top if off, I ordered a side of Italian sausage. It came sliced in a small bowl. It was so overcooked there was no moisture left in the sausage and had the consistency of beef jerky.
My wife and I are not complainers, so we just laughed it off and decided it is not a place we would revisit.
Nice place. Food was just OK. Wine list is pricey and limited.
"A Little Christmas Cheer"
We selected Spazzo for our companies year end get together.
As a party of eight we reserved a private seating area which was quite and with excellent service provided by Jeff.
Jeff opened our bottles of wine to open and decant while we made our appetizer selections.
The appetizers along with bread service arrived quickly and enjoyed by all.
As we enjoyed the appetizers Jeff took our dinner entree orders and poured additional wine.
We enjoyed High Tower Cabernet, Obelisco Syrah, Smasne Red Blend and Refuge & Prospect Cabernet.
Dinner entrees were prepared while we shared the appetizers and conversation with bottles of wine.
Everyone enjoyed their entrees from Australian lamb chops to various pasta dishes, everyone was pleased.
After dinner desserts also were shared all around the table along with cappuccino, espresso and coffee.
A very enjoyable 3 hour social dinner with excellent service, good food and wine. Jeff managed the timing of the service with the appetizers and entrees so we never felt rushed or waiting. Excellent.
We will repeat this experience.
Cheers,
Michael
It was my birhtday, they knew this. The table was great. My girlfirend surprised me with prosecco by the table when we were seated a lovely gift and surprise. The barman came over to open it and proceeded to tell the whole table, he had much better prosecco and how much the bottle cost , he was asked to stop as it was a gift and he would not be silenced, it was awful and embarrassing. And then the service throughout the meal was hopeless. Had to ask for more water and to order more drinks when the food arrived, they didn't arrive until after we had finished eating. Terrible! They weren't busy, i could have understood that, the wait staff just seemed more interested in talking in small groups to each other. We won't be going back soon.
There was no Salmon available that evening which impacted the dining experience.
Good food and good service. Overall positive experience. I will go back!
Great food. That is what counts. Quiet table. Good service.
We had a mixed experience but all in all we had a nice lunch with friends. My friend had a grilled chicken caprese sandwich, her husband had PROSCIUTTO pizza, my husband had eggplant Parmesan and I had a chopped salad. The pizza was delicious, crispy crust and great toppings. My husband’s eggplant was crispy outside, tender and delicious inside. He loved it. My chopped salad had a wonderful creamy Italian dressing that was perfect with the greens, garbanzo beans, chicken and other great ingredients. Unfortunately, the chicken breast in my friend’s sandwich was undercooked and raw. The restaurant took it off of the bill and my friend didn’t want another sandwich. She said that the other veggies and cheese were perfect in the sandwich. The restaurant was gracious and handled the situation as any fine restaurant should.
Everything was great...food and service. used gift cards so the cost wasn't too bad, but the food and drinks are a bit overpriced.
The food was O.K. but not great, and the price was definitely too high.
APPS AND FOOD CAME OUT AT THE SAME TIME AND SERVER HAD AN ATTITUDE , NOT WHAT I EXPECTED .
Hmm, it was OK. The food was good, but a bit pricey. I doubt that I would come back. It was VERY difficult to find in the town center. All we had was an address and that was only good for getting there from the road. The server was good but very chatty with all of his guests. This is why it took us a really long time to just get out check. It wasn't just us either. Several tables around us were trying to figure out just where in the heck the server was! So, negative points for that. The overall service service was good however.
My wife and I were celebrating our 22nd anniversary. We ordered the fried artichokes that came with an aioli sauce for our app which was very good. My wife ordered the eggplant parm and I had the pork chop. We both enjoyed our entrees. Spazzo gave us complimentary creme brulee for dessert.
Thoroughly enjoyed my birthday dinner from the cocktails to the appetizer , main meal and desert! Delish!
The servers and staff were so friendly. They created an anniversary card which they all signed for my wife and I as we celebrated our thirtieth anniversary. It was truly the ultimate service gesture that a restaurant could offer. I had eggplant Parmesan which Spazzo's is known for, but it wasn't cooked through. It was tough. Everything else was very good.
Our food was excellent, staff was friendly and attentive!
Food was great, service took 15 minutes to acknowledge after we sat down. Then it was great after the complaint.
Great service and great food....what more could you ask for?
Was very disappointed in the quality of the food. The food was marinal and it was overpriced. The restaurant was not very busy. Our server was very pleasant, but service was rather slow.
Wonderful!
Me & my wife came here for our 9th anniversary. Our waitress was awesome! Food came out super fast, food was awesome. They even gave us a complimentary creme brulee and made a card for us that everybody working at the time personally signed. It was very heartwarming and thoughtful.
Great service and food every time! Just be mindful about when they close, they won't kick you out but they appreciate you knowing when to leave.
The service was very slow this particular night due to a large private party. Don't think that management planned for this, so our food was delivered 1 hour and 20 minutes after we arrived. Also, the kitchen had run out of gluten free pasta and we were not notified until after we had ordered, making it a longer wait as we had to re-order.
Great food and great service. Varied selections on the menu, good selection of wines or cocktails. There are dining options inside or outdoors, whichever you prefer.
