I was excited about going to this place after I red the reviews and saw it noted in Desert Companion as having the Top Chef. Our table was ready on time and the place has a funky vibe to it, so I thought it would be a fun night. The drinks were interesting and tasty but that is where everything went downhill. The menu was eclectic which is to my liking but my wife likes more standard fare. So we ordered the broccoli (it was actually broccolini) which was reasonable but very greasy. We then ordered the prawns which they described as "very large" and "small lobsters." I am very familiar with all seafood since I grew up on the East Coast and a decent cook myself. So I was very disappointed in them. They were very small once you actually got the meat out of the shell. Probably a U30 or 40. And they were grossly overcooked to the point where they were mushy. They had no taste. Basically we paid $80 for about a dozen medium to small shrimp. We will not be going back.
Fabulous, unique dishes and drinks. Service was spectacular. Just a little on the loud side.
Wonderful gem off the strip in China town. Great service and knowledgeable staff. Recommendations for hamachi, duck dumplings, steak tartare, and octopus were spot on.
Very rich food, unique/strange preparations. Good quality but nothing exceptional. Hard to believe it is getting 5 star reviews! Expensive!
Great place great vibe! Eclectic menu so experiment..... Cocktails were outstanding as well.....
Amazing chef's tasting menu with cocktail pairings as a great change from the typical wine pairings.
Awesome food, awesome service I'll definitely come back!
Amazing service. Nice sharable bites. The intricacies and complexities of taste and texture were delightful. Nice price point. Not something I would do very often, not because of taste, value or service, but just because I prefer simplicity more often. This is definitely a place I would come a few times a year to try things I normally wouldn't.
Out of all the restaurants I've visited in Las Vegas, Sparrow & Wolf was by far #1. Would highly recommend. Wonderful atmosphere, amazing service and top notch food and drink.
Best of everything. Definitely worth a visit. Bring your friends, spend some time.
Great eclectic neighborhood bar. Solid drinks offers and elevated dining experience. Worth the trip!
Food was unique and extremely good. Recommend trying the taster menu - it is definitely worth the price!
My only complaint is that the noise level makes it hard to converse. The food is very inventive and delicious. The service is prompt, knowledgeable, and friendly.
Great food, great time, and great OR wine-I recommend Slander as it starts great conversation!!
My words can not do this place justice. An amazing place for dinner with friends, or a celebration of any kind. Two of the best meals in my life were at the Sparrow & Wolf.
We had heard about Sparrow and Wolf through a friend and decided to give it a try. One thing that I always consider when trying a new fine dinning experience is their ability to satisfy the palate of my vegetarian wife and S&W did not disappoint.
I had the Hamachi tartar and it was fantastic. Very fresh and highlighted with chili and garlic.
We shared the Broccolini and a carrot like vegetable that we’d never had before. In both cases they were amazing. Cooked with a terrific char and spiced perfectly.
My wife also had the eggplant with a yogurt sauce that was fantastic and I had the Octopus which was fresh and perfectly cooked.
We will definitely be back.
Found on Thrillist for new and innovative food.
Every dish was complex, textural and had multiple ingredients.
We live in New York with many great restaurants. This was one of the best meals we have had in a long time.
We were in Las Vegas for the Rugby Sevens college tournament and I was looking for a great restaurant that wasn’t in the casino strip area. We loved this establishment. Creative and delicious food served by a knowledgeable staff. The standout is the porterhouse and we enjoyed all dishes. I really like that the wine list is small and the waitstaff is familiar with the wines.
Sparrow & Wolf was overall fantastic! Friendly, helpful staff made the experience more than a meal. It was a fun night and the food and cocktails were amazing! Will definitely be returning soon.
The food was great and our service was fantastic. Love the fois gras special for the day and the hamachi collar.
The bartender was amazing. She made drinks on the fly. The tasting menu is a must and was a great value!!
Fantastic menu items and helpful, patient service-we had a great time! Try the barbeque salsify or lasagna!
Everything was outstanding. Highly recommend the porterhouse for 2
Very nice evening. Food was inventive and delicious. Had the tasting menu. Just enough adventure in the selections to show off the talent. Service was attentive without being interruptive. Most places seat arriving guest with maximum distance between available tables. Not here. Guests seated at adjacent tables to maximize socialization. It worked nicely.
Went for the Katsu Sando which was amazing but when the waiter recommended the Foie Gras Duck, we had to try it. It was probably the best thing I've eaten in a long time. Right when it hit my tongue, my taste buds reacted in a confused yet positive way. 100% recommend that dish. It was a special so I do not know how long they're going to have it.
The ambiance was great and everyone was really polite and nice. They were very informative about their dishes such as how they make them as well as where they get their meat from. Definitely a 5 star place
Went for a secret burger special menu item - Country Pâté Katsu Sando. Sandwich was absolutely delicious. We also ordered a couple other things including a wild boar carpaccio special, the lasagna, and honey toast w/matcha ice cream. I can’t wait to go back to try the lamb neck and the dessert with yuzu (forgot the name).
We had a lot of good food and it was a great experience. I like that the host offered us a drink before we got to our table. However, once at our table, I feel like service in regards to our beverages could have been better. I had a cocktail that sat on the table empty for 10-15 minutes before I was offered another beverage and even then, the empty glass stayed on our table for another 30 minutes even though other things were picked up. I’m not trying to be picky, but when you have a tiny table and you are spending >200 on dinner, I do expect the service to match.
This place was fantastic. Food was excellent, very creative and reasonably priced , particularly compared to what you would find on the strip. I recommend ordering lots of small plates and sharing which makes this a culinary adventure. Wine list was not extensive, so consider bringing your own if this is important. We loved it - one of the owners was even working the floor.
Incredible menu selection. I went with a group of friends and it was perfect for a night of catching up and sharing good eats!
It was our first visit! The manager and hostess went the 'extra mile' to accommodate our seating request! The service was great! Our waiter did a fantastic job! The food was delicious and amazing!
Ate by myself at the bar - was a beautiful tasting meal and was able to enjoy a few items in the menu. Bar server was busy so wasn’t super attentive but good enough. They welcome dogs and pets as I noticed a couple dining with a dog sitting under their table. Would recommend the clams casino and hamachi carpaccio.
AMAZING DINING EXPERIENCE AND A PHENOMENAL STAFF! Sparrow and Wolf is one of those true gems which defines what dining is meant to be... an experience.
Amazing food and great service. The creativity of flavor pairings was superb. We especially appreciated the charred romanesco and wood grilled broccoli. The porterhouse was huge, and came with an amazing array of condiments, each of which added a different dimension. If you're looking for a creative, off the strip, place, check this out. Don't let the location (looks like it is a strip mall at first) discourage you.
Amazing food. They were out of the Porterhouse but replaced it with a 9oz. Wagyu with the same banchan. Ordered that and the Duck Confit Sweet Potato Dumplings. Straight fire. Orgasmic. One of the best restaurants in town by far.
My lady and I took our first trip to Sparrow and Wolf. We has heard only good things about the restaurant. Those good things were very true. The food is excellent, good to look at and even better to eat. We had much fin eating the porterhouse steak with its multitude of fine sides. The service was a tag-team service so we were never wanting for attention. The value was commensurate to the taste of the food. The only issue, was that my lady has an aversion to the smell of fish. We knew that this was a predominantly sea food restaurant. However, to her, the smell of the fish was so overwhelming, even with the fans blowing cold air, to remove the smell, that her experience was less than satisfactory.
Otherwise, a nice evening was had by us both.
Excellent restaurant. We were super impressed with the food and the service. We have already recommended it to our friends.
Amazing food and the servers knowledge was unbelievable
More of a tastings/tapas style restaurant. Depending on the menu items it can be an amazing tasteful experience.
Sparrow and Wolf is a 'sleeper' restaurant in Las Vegas that most tourists will never experience. It is not on the strip, and not in a fancy location, but the food is well worth any effort to get there. The menu is creative fine dinning ultra gourmet cuisine. Don't miss an opportunity to dine there. You will return every time you visit Las Vegas!
