Spaghettini Grill and Jazz Club Ratings and Reviews
The evening atmosphere was great, the food was good and attractive...everyone at our party enjoyed their dish! After dinner we attended the Jazz concert...everything was very well organized and the atmosphere was very comfortable, relaxed and cozy. We all had a very good time!
Enjoyed an outstanding anniversary dinner. Our server (Courtney) was very pleasant and helpful. Had reservations and the host sat us immediately. The after dinner bar scene was very energetic and the music very entertaining.
Would recommend Spaghettini for business, casual or special occasion dining!
Spaghettini has never disappointed us for their food, ambiance and service! This time we had Courtney again. Her smile and attentiveness to our needs was superlative! Please don't miss the gluten free pizza bread with marinara sauce before the meal! It is delicious and we often order a second one as one is never enough! Don't let the word "gluten free" dissuade you from ordering it, as you will forever regret it!
Always a favorite for many reasons!
My son took me there for my 47th birthday dinner. I expressed to him that I wanted to go to Spaghettini because of the good food and live jazz! We had a fantastic time with our family and I would definitely go there again. I even received a beautiful birthday photo taken with Chef Victor! Best Time Ever!!!
I ordered a Caesar salad (13.00) that I intended to split with a coworker because I also ordered a pizza (19.00) The server announced to my coworker that the spaghetti and meatball plate he ordered (20.00) was a special that night and included a salad (no visible special advertisement posted)
I considered the salad pricey for a pretty plain romaine salad that was moderate in size. Other upscale restaurants I frequent in San Diego include shaved Parmesan, anchovies or olive topinaude and a cracker or bread accompanied accent, even protein options at this price. I would return but I would ask more questions about the menu details.
We've been going to your restaurant for many, many years and although it's usually for special occasions, it's always been a great experience we could count on. We made a reservation for 6:46 p.m. and arrived exactly on time, yet had to wait about 20+ minutes. When seated, we asked why we had to wait so long since the restaurant was half empty; we were told some employees had not come to work that night. Our waitress was courteous and we informed her we were celebrating a birthday and also had reservations in the bar to see the band "Peet Project." Our meal was ok but not great. The lobster raviolis were quite dry and a little undercooked. The salmon dish was very good and as always - the roasted brussel sprouts were amazing. When we finished our meal, we tried to get the waitresses' attention; we even tried to flag her down but she didn't seem to notice us. Meanwhile the music had already started and we were getting anxious to transfer to the bar. When she came to our table, we told her we wanted the bill and she seemed surprised and (sheepishly) said she would bring us the birthday dessert there instead. We transferred to the bar and a few minutes later a young lady came in and took our picture... with a camera that looked like it was dated back to the 80's! Since it was dark, we couldn't really see the picture but sadly, when we got home, the picture was very grainy and lacked detail - in contrast to the picture from last year... and .. the year before. What kind of a red camera was that? Had we known, I would have given her my IPhone. Now, the "morceau de resistance"; would you believe we sat there for two sets of music and NEVER ONCE did your staff ever approach us and ask us if we wanted a drink. Our table was dry for the remainder of the night. On a positive note; the band was great and we really enjoyed their music.
Famous for good jazz, the performance was a sellout. No matter because my wife and I enjoyed a delicious dinner celebrating my wife’s birthday as well as listening to the background sounds of jazz music. Our attentive server even gave us a photo of us enjoying dinner and a complementary dessert. Thanks for a memorable evening!
We were a little late for our reservation due to the drive from our home in Laguna Beach and the traffic we encountered. The hostess that greeted us at the reservation desk when you first walked in made it sound as those because we were 10 or 15 minutes late we couldn't be seated.
I was appalled and had to let her know we drove up from Laguna Beach and I was trying to surprise my wife with a lunch date with her brother, and his wife, that we had not seen in several months, he and his wife were driving in from Agoura Hills in the Valley (at least 1.5 hour drive). Someone in management needs to talk to the hostess that was on duty Sunday, October 22nd at 1:00 P.M. On the other hand, once we were finally seated, our waitress was awesome and made it all good and told us not to hurry and that we were fine. Champagne flowed and we Left happy and full. Thank you waitress that lives in Niguel.
I’ve been to many Sunday Brunch buffet and for the cost per person $60 is a total rip off I could not believe it. They say they serve seafood... lol. Yea, watered down ceviche that’s it. They don’t even serve oysters. There is a lot of other places out there better than this place. El Toritos brunch is even better and they charge $21 per person. Please don’t waste your time or money going here. Complete disappointment.
We had a birthday celebration for Sunday brunch and had a quiet corner in the wine cellar.
It would have been too noisy for hard of hearing oldsters in any other room. The brunch was expensive and some of the items on the menu were disappointing (particularly the waffles). The buffet was lovely and would have been adequate for a brunch. Ordering off a menu in addition to the buffet offerings was just too much food and it wasn't a choice. The desserts were particularly disappointing. We should have brought our own cake with us.
My dish was a seafood was a bit dry and my date's pasta had was overcooked and chewy. For $30 per plate I expect better tasting food. I finished my portion because I was hungry and had not ate all day. The only reason I did not complain about the food was because I was on a date and did not want to cause a scene. The waiter was excellent and very attentive.
This is one of my favorite places to visit. I was so excited when they decided to open for breakfast. i usually attend a concert/dinner or brunch. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was inviting and warm. I sent everyone I know a text and a picture of my plate...I hope they continue opening for breakfast. Trust me you won't be disappointed.
Have not been to Spaghettini in some time and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. We had a salad of apples/lettuces/blue cheese crumbles and the crab cakes and for entrees the Saturday special osso bucco and the rack of lamb. My husband had the apple pie for dessert. We brought our own bottle of Kosta Browne Pinot. The only negative is the loud music from the bar area. If you desire a quiet conversation, ask to be seated in t dining room that is furthest from that area as we did.
We had a great time at Spaghettinis. We told our cousin we would take her anywhere she wanted for her birthday. She requested Spaghettinis because she loves their rack of lamb. When we arrived, they sprinkled glitter on the tablecloth in honor of her birthday. The waitress, Courtney, was excellent. She immediately addressed our cousin by her name and wished her a happy birthday. My husband and I each had the special Sunday night dinner. It was a great meal for $29.00 a person. We had a romaine salad, prime rib cooked exactly how we asked for it and a stuffed baked potato. The third course of the meal was an excellent slice of apple pie with ice cream. Our cousin was presented with a beautiful birthday dessert as a gift from the restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant.
