It was a perfect burrata salad!
This was my second time, invite other friends because I was impressed the first time. Well unfortunately, they are not consistent. The salad I loved the first time wasn't the same the second time, it had like 2- 3 croutons, it was very small and no avocados, 3 pieces of beets, tiny amount of sunflower seeds. Lots of goat cheese which I didn't mind, but even the 2 friends I invited noticed how small it was. I did enjoy the romaine with it, the last time it was mixed greens. I was disappointed that it wasn't the Harvest Garden I truly enjoyed the first time. I guess you won't know what you'll get when you go, doesn't seem consistent.
Hello - I am so sorry that the salad was not as you expected. One of our core principals is making sure that all of our salads are full of ingredients and provide value for the money. The salad should have been made with a red leaf mix. We are dealing with a staffing issue - but this should not be apparent to you. Just stopped in for some lunch and brought a friend who was visiting from out of town. The Tortilla Soup was amazing with just the right amount of spice. We had the Avocado toast club and the New Mac & Cheese wich were excellent. The service was great!

We were referred by a friend who lives nearby and we were celebration a birthday. We got the burrata to start and it was delicious. We all had salads and the birthday girl had the fish tacos. We ALL loved the food, it was very fresh. At the end they were super sweet to bring out a cupcake with a candle. A very special touch!!! It was nice to be able to browse around after lunch for a bit.

This is one of my favorite restaurants for breakfast or lunch. The food is delicious and fresh and the service is friendly and helpful. I could eat the green and white salad everyday. It's so good and so good for you. I love to take my friends from out of town so that we can spend time in the store after we eat. If I could, I would spend everyday at this perfect spot!
Best Lunchroom in town, no question. And you will always leave feeling more chic than when you arrived. Especially if you save some time to shop in the other side of the space. Best Oat Milk Matcha Latte AND I cant wait for the new Mocha.

We have been to The Lunchroom at Space 519 for meals before and have always loved it. Today was our first time for brunch and we were not disappointed. The menu was inventive and delicious! americano was nothing special, starbucks is
better. now to the food; burata with fruit was
delishious, but would have preferred a sharper
tasting balsamic instead it was sweet. portion
ample as an entree. $16
skip the fish taco, boring. but the bread pudding
was the star of the meal except served with a dollop
of marsapone cheese would have preferred whipped cream. if you knew stars on the menu then i would
recommend, remember it’s pricey. we went for lunch during restaurant week.

Space 519 is a great place to grab lunch with your friends or family when you are out in the city shopping or hitting the museums!!! The staff is wonderful and store is fabulous! They have terrific wines and the food is amazing! Large portions so come hungry!

The food was fantastic and the service was impeccable. The restaurant itself is very unassuming and a huge part of the appeal. Apparently brunch is the meal to have at the restaurant but breakfast was great as well.
Awesome neighborhood gem!!! Not sure why more people don’t know about it but that’s ok with me since we never have to wait and it’s not crowded. Place is really unique—a cafe in a shop. The food is amazing and the ambience is relaxed and low key. And the shop has a great wine selection as well as unique little gifts. Highly recommend!

This is a huge space, move some of the clothing around and make more room for the tables, we were crunched against the wall.
The Lunchroom at Space 519 is my go-to spot to bring out of town friends, family and business colleagues when I want to show them a truly unique Chicago spot. There's an added bonus if you like to shop as it's literally in the middle of a delightful store. More importantly, it's a great restaurant serving amazing food and some of the breakfast and brunch entrees in the city.
Just about a block off busy Michigan Ave, east of the John Hancock Building, The Lunchroom is a charming and quiet spot to grab a bite, coffee or sip and savor while you do a little retail therapy. Portions are good, you won't leave hungry. The service is friendly and very efficient. Cloth napkins and marble tabletops add to the luxe feel but the vibe is relaxed and comfortable.
I'm particualry fond of the Gold Coast Migas (I add Chicken Sausage on the side) for brunch, as well as the corn cakes that were on special during my last visit this past weekend. They also have great coffee. I enjoy their fresh OJ too. My OJ this weekend was in a mimosa (or two). If you are looking for a tasty appetizer, order some of the pimento spread!
Nothing but perfect in every way. Chic, understayed, superb service and food quality and taste. A sophisticated option in quiet upscale neighborhood for brunch or dinner. Great pastries and coffee.
Booked ahead but given terrible table; waited ages to give order then waited more than 40 minutes for food. Terrible service. We didn’t stay and went elsewhere.

This was my fourth time for lunch, and it’s amazing. A very unique space. Their seasonal soups & salads are delicious. Yesterday, I had the cauliflower & Shanghai cowboy salad. Yum. I don’t know how they knew it was my birthday (maybe my open table profile?), but they brought over a chocolate cake with a candle. So thoughtful and classy.
This was the second time we had lunch here. Both times were perfect meal and perfect service. What more could we ask for?

I always take out of town guests to Space 519 and the Lunchroom. The menu is simple but unordinary and delicious. It is also on the healthy and light side, which is good. Afterward it is so nice to get a cup of coffee or their excellent London Fog and do a little shopping.
Service is friendly and understaffed but we go for Sunday morning as a couple or with friends so it doesn't become an issue for us. The menu changed and there isn't a go to brunch item to crave anymore. Great coffee but the cups are big so it gets cold if you are sipping and chatting. Always the freshest possible ingredients and anything they serve with eggs is a treat. High quality bakery goods to take home for later is our traditional breakfast "dessert."
We hear you about being understaffed - it is something we are working on. Many customers like the larger cups, but we have a smaller size available, please ask your server. We are extremely disappointed in your low star ratings as we strive for better. Our brunch menu has not changed since we opened. I bet you were here for our breakfast menu, a slimmed down menu served before brunch at 10. We are working on new brunch items as well. Thank you again for taking time out to provide feedback.
We found this restaurant several months ago and finally made a return trip before a show at the Broadway Playhouse a half block away. The food is still excellent. Since the restaurant also doubles as a store you can shop while waiting for your meal. This place is a definite "find" and is worth checking out.
