   Did not have the ribeye steaks, got the New York strip dry aged and mashed potato’s no seasoning on the steak or potatoes very bland! Expected more from a high end steak house! I’d recommend going to halls chop house in Columbia way better all the way around!!

   The food was hot and cooked as we requested. Several of the steak tips were very livery tasting, which made for an unpleasant experience for 2 of us. The other two ordered something different and enjoyed it. The server was pleasant, friendly and efficient.

   Excellent food/ excellent service. Did not have to wait long . I really hope this restaurant flourishes because I can see us enjoying this restaurant again and again.

   I was at the restaurant last night and was so excited that the menu has changed to be like the Chapin Chophouse. However, I ordered my steak medium, it came out burnt. The waitress took it back to the kitchen and immediately came back with another steak, which was odd. That steak was also overcooked. The waitress then told me that the kitchen was burning everyone’s steak. The third steak I received was undercooked, basically raw on the inside. I didn’t even bother sending it back or eating it. Additionally I ordered the Japanese fried chicken, it is my favorite appetizer from the Chapin Chophouse, and I never go it. I don’t think I’ll be returning to southern smoaked tavern and likely won’t even bother going back to Chapin chophouse. I hope y’all get it together.

   They advertised $5 martinis, that offer was only good until 6pm? Really? That is when we arrived and part of why we went! Also the "filet mignon" was VERY disappointing! Overpriced menu, poor quality food, and misleading advertising. I will not be going back

   There were six in our party I had the NY Strip it was tender and delicious. The other guests had either fish or chicken and stated they were very good. Great selection of Bourbons and Scotch. Service was very good and the atmosphere was exceptional We will be back .
