   Our second time here, this time for New Year’s Eve. The place is closing, which is a shame. The atmosphere is great and the food is very good. Drinks were fine, nothing special. Value for food reasonable for the area, and it’s a great space for a hip restaurant. Service was fine, they’re not very attentive. I hope that the owners are able to rebuild some thing and that a new restaurant will move in here soon.

   The non-spicy fried chicken sandwich was perfectly spiced, moist in the middle, and a large portion served with a side of lightly dressed greens. Mac n' cheese was a generous portion as well, considering how rich, gooey, and savory it is. If you come here around lunchtime on a weekday, you'll have your pick of seats, smooth service, and peace & quiet to go with your meal.

   The food was okay, I thought the appetizers were actually the best part of the meal. The service was way below expectations. The restaurant was practically empty, but we had to wait a long time to order drinks and food.

   Arrived late for our reservation, told to wait despite resturant being half empty. Went to the bar to grab a drink while waiting on our table. Bartender ignored us for five minutes despite doing things like drying glasses and talking to co-worker. It was as though we were invisible. We spoke to the hostess regarding the terrible bar service and then we left.

   It was first time, the host staff and wait staff were very personable and accommodating. The fried chicken was tasty once you got past the skin, waffle a bit dry. The grits & shrimp were tasty. Beverages were great.

   Food was outstanding. It really is unfair to the staff to have basically one waitress covering the floor. We were constantly in need of water and wanted to order drinks but literally could not find anyone.

    Biscuits were great. Rest of food fairly uninspiring. Hush puppies were undercooked in the middle. If you like sweet and savory pancakes, Alden and Harlow does a better job in taste profile and consistency.
