Josh was an excellent server! Very knowledgeable of the menu, courteous, and friendly.
Beautiful dinner, quiet location. I loved it.
The coffee rubbed pork chop was dry. The combination for flavors was interesting.
This is such a cool space. Does not disappoint time after time
We've dined at SN several times now and the staff are all very good, the food is always great and I have tried something different each time to include fish, scallops, pork chop and lamb to name a few, and decor is simple but fresh-comfortable (my new term) making a night for dinner more than just stopping in to eat. Enjoy.
The service and food were excellent tonight. The menu changes often which is nice but would like to see the crispy lobster back on the menu. My all time favorite!
This restaurant is amazing! Excellent food, fabulous cocktails and fantastic service! The night we were there a summer storm caused a power outage, however this did not cause the staff to miss a beat, everyone continued to enjoy their meals with great, attentive service! Kudos!
That was our first time there and we can't wait to go back!!!
Great Food and Service. We had Sunday Brunch there at thoroughly enjoyed it. Will definitely be back!
Excellent food and service. Always feel like I've gotten my money's worth.
My wife and I had a very good first experience with Southern National. The Salmon was nicely prepared with Cajun flavors that did not overpower. My wife enjoyed the duck.
We like to be seated as soon as we get there if we have a reservation . I don’t like how they make the whole party to be there . We enjoy brunch and you never can predict the length of the Church service . We really enjoyed it . When you are 70 .... Your children show up ! Thanks so much and we had a GREAT Fathers Day Brunch !
The service and food was excellent and look forward to coming back soon!
This was my third time to Southern National. Each time I have been extremely pleased. The food is phenomenal! The restaurant is immaculately kept and the service is top notch. I am not a drinker but the cocktails and beverage selection looks great. The bartenders are knowledgeable and professional but not stuffy.
I would appreciate an alcohol free selection of beer but that’s the only suggestion I can make as they are doing everything else first class!
The flavors were robust, unexpected, but awesome.
Food was wonderful! Service was over the top! We’ll be back.
We tend to go traditional when we eat out, so eating at Southern National took us out of our comfort zone. This allowed us to enjoy a delicious, different and elegant meal for our (married) date night.
We celebrated Mother’s Day with a divine brunch at Southern National! Our young adult children were with us! It was excellent and delicious! In my party of 4, we all got something different! We also ordered ‘beginning’ items of biscuits with jams, pimento bowl with bacon jam (oh my goodness...good with a splash of heaven!), pickled cauliflower, and artisan crackers, and pimento grits! All yummy appetizer dishes for early sharing! Here is a list of our entrees: a scrumptious and well constructed BLT; Greek yogurt with drizzled honey, granola, various fruit, and lots of love; a blossoming omelet stocked full of yumminess and a dish that included turnip greens or collards. ...There was nothing that was left on a plate, and we all left with bellies full and better than satisfied, and talking about returning soon! My only negative was the amount of time it took to get our food. Although arriving at 11:00 when restaurant opened should have been a bonus, it still took an hour to receive our food. Decided to give this delightful and delicious establishment a ‘free pass’ with a hug...just too yummy to erase from my ‘list’. Besides...it was an immensely busy day! I will most definitely be back...and soon! I even hope we get our same courteous server...he was very accommodating.
Perfection!!! Great Service, Food, Drinks and Atomosphere!!!
ONLY negative is the noise level can make table conversation a struggle. Food, service and ambiance excellent!
Very well made and presented food, new twists on old standards
Excellent food quality. Service could use some slight attention.
Southern National does not disappoint. Ever. The food was delicious and praised by everyone in our group.
We visited Mobile for the first time (to see a concert)_. Pleasantly surprised by Mobile in general, and so happy to find Southern National. We had a group of 4 for brunch, each ordered something different, along with 3 cocktails. All four dishes were excellent - unique dishes and just incredible flavors! Cocktails were fantastic, in fact I stayed and had one more at the bar after my group moved on! Can't wait to come back for dinner. It's 3 hours from home, but will stop in on our future travel on I-10.
I made reservations and would have preferred as a party of 3, to not be seated at a 2 top table. But, service was excellent and I loved the atmosphere. Will try again for sure
The food was good, the service was fair bit the amount I paid for my pasta dish was ridiculous.
We visited this restaurant during a stop over in Mobil on our way to New Orleans.
We are a family of 4 and I am vegan but the rest of my family isn't.
It has been really difficult to get vegan food on this holiday but Southern National had an excellent menu that worked for all of us.
The food, service and general ambience is fantastic.
Sitting at the bar with Will is an awesome dining experience. He is an amazing bartender. Don’t order anything specific... tell him what you like and he will create an amazing drink for you.
I love everything about this place except for the noise level. The food, cocktails, and wait staff were excellent. I will go back and will recommend this place to others.
Got right in using open table. Inside seating lacked personal space. Drinks took a little time between delivery. Food pretty good. Limited options on menu. High price drinks and end of the meal bill hart attack!
Beautiful restaurant with a modern twist on southern cuisine. We hosted a business dinner as our first visit, but will definitely be back for pleasure!
We LOVED our meal--everything was tasty and fresh and beautiful! We will definitely be going back!
The food was amazing! We had the pimento cheese appetizer and then salmon and duck for dinner. The wine list was a little limited and the service was slow, very personable server just a little too laid back. We would have ordered more wine and possibly a desert drink if he had come by and checked on us more. We will return to try the fried lobster, a guest next to us said it was delicious!
Fantastic flavorful food , presented beautifully. Service was impeccable.
Too much noise, made worse by loud music. Per our server, the loud music volume could not be adjusted. The room was cold. We asked to be moved outside.
The food was awesome! We did wish there were some sweet cocktail options.
Fantastic food, fantastic service. Wonderful atmosphere. I would highly recommend Southern National to anyone local or just passing through.
some food were wonderful and worth the price.
but some were not.
Our Sunday 11:45 a.m. brunch experience was very disappointing. After being seated and ordering, it took one hour for our food to arrive. The meatloaf was enjoyed, the chicken and waffles (ordered my half of our party of six) was flavored so strongly that one guest took only one bite. I couldn't identify the flavor but someone guessed fennel. The cheese grits were well liked and the omelettes were really good according to two diners. The service was adequate, if not brusk. We didn't linger after plates were cleared, mainly because we had been there too long and it was too loud to have a relaxed conversation. One guest had enjoyed dinner at SN prior to this visit and commented that brunch obviously wasn't Souther National's strong suit. Yes, we'll try SN again, but it will be a while, since there are other nice choices in the downtown area.
Went for my husband’s birthday. Can’t wait to go back.
