View Private Dining DetailsFood was OK, beef brisket very good the rest just OK. Service was terrible waitress basically forgot about us for over a half hour. Hostess was hot so she left the front door open to cool off, most of my meat got cold before I could eat it, it was 50 degrees out?!?!
You want good BBQ in Manhattan, got to Dinosaur BBQ in Harlem.
Oh and it was expensive.
The waitress was a bit inattentive. She forgot to give me everything that came with the meal. When I asked her to bring the rest of my meal she forgot to bring it a second time. Maybe she's new, maybe she'll do better next time. #Amateur
The food was horrible. NO one liked their meal. It was so poorly cooked. The music was so loud and it was really cold by the loud door. The waitress told me I couldn’t sub sides. It was an all round bad experience and we hope to never go back again after spending a large amount of money.
The food was just okay, i ordered the ribs and they could have been a bit more tender, the BBQ sauce was good. The cornbread, let’s just say i had better but i did like my coleslaw. My daughter ordered the Brisket Fried Rice, that was tasty. Loved the fried pickles and fried tomatoes as an appetizer. I love avocado but i wasn’t a fan of their fried avocado. The jambalaya was disgusting... it tasted like ketchup. I didn’t order any fancy drink. Try it out for yourself we all have different taste buds. The service/waitresses were awesome and it’s not an expensive restaurant.
Our service was really good and the bottomless brunch is a good deal. The Bellini seemed to have not too much alcohol but the Bloody Mary's were really great! The food was good- some of it overpriced for the quality. I was looking forward to the fried chicken but it was kind of bland..not much seasoning. The mac and cheese was deliciously creamy though! It's definitely a fun place to grab brunch with some friends.
We had to wait for our table 10 minutes in to the reservation - the girls at the hostess table were chatting away so I had to remind them that our party was waiting.
Once we sat all was great - the food was delicious. HUGE portions - you can definitely share and get a great variety of everything on the menu.
The waitress wasn't as available as we would have liked, but friendly and courteous.
We were surprised that the beer selection was not too varied, but they had enough to keep us happy.
Too expensive for the food quality . food was not good enought , we had a reservation and we had to wait anyway .
Great food, great ambiance - I had the chili (totally recommend) and the portions and depth of flavor is superb.
Enjoyed the fried pickles!!
Honored my reservation. Our waitress was wonderful. Food was great.
The food was great, but the service/hospitality was outstanding.
Piera was our server and she was amazing.
Food wasn’t great. Service really bad.
Cool spot but the Food was “eh” not too flavorful... but ok .
food was mediocre, expensive for what it was. waitress was aloof and missing most of our meal
Food and service where good. Was seated immediately. Pulled porks shoulder was great.
Baby back ribs where ok. Fried green tomatoes where amazing.
Had a Great Saturday Brunch morning here. For was fast a filling, and I'm not going to lie the brisket and Eggs made my day.
Great food and good service except for the hostess, but the manager came and dealt with her quickly and took care of us the rest of the evening.
I had heard quite positive things about the restaurant so I finally got a chance to try it out with my niece. Decor is a little too "rustic" for my general taste, but the food was really yummy. I had the Tennessee Fried Chicken and she had the Seafood Mac&Cheese. All-in-all a nice dining experience and I will go back to try other things in the menu.
Great service, waiter was knowledgeable in offering suggestions.
I had the tennessee fried chicken, this dish had great flavor and was nicely fried.
I cannot wait to go back.
Nice selection of meal choices. I was also impressed by the service and the draft beer selection. I would recommend the Shrimp and Cheesy Grits , very tasty and spicy . I also recommend the fried avocado slices, delicious breading.
I had a party of 12 originally. One person cancelled at the last minute. The host staff was very accommodating as half my party was late so that was appreciated. Once we were seated, the service from that point till when we got our check was not satisfactory. Four a party of over 10 ppl the staff was not very attentive and the food was not great. I don’t think I would eat here again. The ambience wasn’t bad, the restaurant looks nice but I would not go back based on the service alone.
Fried pickles were terrible. Sangria was a very small glass. Beans and brisket were amazing and service was attentive.
This place has AWESOME pulled pork nachos. But to be honest, it's really ONLY good for the nachos. Everything else is really sub par.
Visited for thanksgiving with my family Party of 8. Everyone enjoyed the food we had the Prime Rib, Fried Shrimp, Catfish and Thanksgiving Buffet. Overall decent meal. Gave 3 stars because our seating arrangement was not pleasant- there was a draft and we were sitting next to the door. The door was opened at least 3 times (way too many!!!) during our dinner- the fact that only our server Denise cared about our level of comfort was a bit disconcerting. If I am to enjoy my experience- all levels of hospitality must be meet....cold during dinner falls a little short.
Good food but not much "southern hospitality". No one greeted or helped us. Begrudgingly the hostess who was too busy on her phone seated us. There was barely anyone else in the restaurant. There was one waitress who was amazing and came in for her shift after we had been seated. She helped us even though we weren't in her section because she saw no one else was. I don't know how she works with the those people. She would ask them to help her and they would just ignore her. It was sad . She deserves a raise.
We waited over 40 minutes for our food. The wait staff delivered the incorrect meal 3 times and when we did receive it, the chicken was cold. They didn't feel the need to apologize or discount the meal. Our glasses went empty most of the time and we had to ask for our refills. In the end, the server brought us 1 dessert to share amongst 3 people "to show I care"...
I’m in love with this place. The servers and the bartenders are everything!!!
This place was recommmended for a Sunday brunch. The mimosas were great and the food was fantastic, although my eggs were a little on the cool side but still good. I am very picky when it comes to eating collard greens from restaurants. Most of the time they’re bland, but SH’s greens made me sing on the first bite. I’ll definitely return for more.
The food was excellent and was served very quickly. However, our waitress was not easily available. The noise level was extremely high, and conversation was too difficult to maintain without shouting and asking "huh?"
The music was BLASTING when I visited for dinner recently. Even the server thought it was insanely loud. She said it was due to a new manager. He turned it down, but begrudgingly. I don't want to have to scream to be heard.
Nice friendly folks nice food,it was lovely.....they accommodated me fully(because I'm disabled at the moment) just nice folks.....whomever hired my waitress and the bus boy 👍 great job
Lovely restaurant! Would definitely go back!
It did not disappoint. Food was excellent.
It would had helped that this restaurant had its address numbers visibly displayed. Someone meeting me there wasn't sure that it was the right address (small critique).
Bar atmosphere but surprisingly quiet for 10 pm on a Thursday night. Food was mixed-- brisket and BBQ chicken-- very good. Chicken tenders and sides-- ok, wouldn't reorder. Service was just ok-- had to keep flagging the gal down for water-- and the place was mostly empty. This place could be great-- they've got the BBQ down-- the rest needs some work.
This was recommended on a list for great boozy brunches. The food was OK - biscuits were small and crumbly, the brisket was a little dry, but the wings, fried chicken and waffles were really good. The mimosas were a little watery.
We went to Southern Hospitality for brunch on a Saturday around 12. The food is southern breakfast (as expected), and al our dishes were so good! If you ordered an entree, you could choose to get unlimited drinks (mimosa, Bellini, screwdriver, or Bloody Mary) for an additional cost. Never once did any of our glasses get empty. It was constant refills, and constant check ins from our waitress, which was amazing! Tables do have a two hour limit due to the unlimited mimosas, but we never felt rushed. For the first hour we were there, the restaurant was slowly getting busier, but the noise was still quiet. The latter half (remember: unlimited mimosas), the rooms were pretty loud and it felt as though we were yelling our conversation. Overall, great location, food, and drinks. I'd definitely recommend this place!
Excellent food and service
The fries were covered in Cajun spice...even my kids. This was not specified on the menu and we didn't like them. My burger tasted burnt even though it didn't appear to be. 2 of us has major stomach upset through the night after our meal. The waitress did not seem too familiar with the menu which I feel she should be if she is working there. The only positive I can say is I was not charged for my margherita which I sent back because it was awful and my 2 girls enjoyed their non-alcoholic shirley temples. .
Great BBQ meal. It was great for a big group (we had 9 people) before a show. Food came out very quickly and all was delicious
