Staff was ready to go home and it reflected in our food. No flavor
Taylor provided great service, and the food and drinks were good as usual.
was sat without a waitress attending to us for 20 mins, finally someone who wasn’t supposed to wait on us did, she was great but the food took forever and a meal was never made (waitress showed us that she rang it in, cook missed it) then they were out of a few food items, all in all horrible experience and will never be back and would never recommend to anyone
Group meal while in town for Ole Miss graduation. Excellent service and value for the dollar. The food was delicious.
We were in Oxford for graduation weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience and southern craft. The food was excellent and the service was quite good despite how crowded the restaurant was on graduation weekend. Would certainly recommend it to anyone dining in Oxford and we will be back on our next trip.
The food was great, service was wonderful and loved the atmosphere!
Great service and the Manager Bubba is awesome to work with for catering!
The Street Tacos were excellent- we also had pizza that was cooked perfectly- we will be back !!!
We have been to this restaurant before and loved it. Saturday night we arrived to our reservation about 10 minutes early. There was several people in front of us. Then the hostess came back and said something to them and they all left. When we were standing there the host said he just needed to clear a table. There were more dirty tables then tables with people at them. So we went to the bar to order a drink. It took at least 10 minutes to get a drink. There was 5-6 people sitting at the bar. The places empty at the bar were dirty and covered in crumbs and dirty glasses/dishes. We were told they were out of many things on the menu. They were completely out of pizza. After waiting 35 minutes for our table with no one coming back to say anything to us we left. Very unfortunate!
They were out of steak on a Friday night at 7:30pm. They ran out of tea and were slow getting drinks refilled. Won’t be back
Fun place and will probably be back but service was slow.
Unfortunately wasn’t impressed- was really hoping it would be good. Okra was over cooked, Mac fries were fantastic
Nashville chicken Sandwich and pizza were amazing.
I was in town for a college visit and stopped in for lunch. Food was tasty and I really liked the atmosphere. Service was great as well. I’d come back again just to get the broccoli salad!
The food was great, but the service was rather lacking. Husband ordered the "stuffed" pork tenderloin. It was just two slices of pork tenderloin; nothing was stuffed. The waitress came back a couple minutes later to take his plate back and said the chef "forgot" to add something to it (the stuffing). The kitchen staff (though I know it was hot) were working without their masks on or fully covering their face - open kitchen for diners to see - so that was a bit disappointing. The restaurant overall was not following local COVID guidelines or appearing to take it seriously at all.
The service was extremely slow, I ordered the steak, it was under seasoned, over cooked, and overall not a great cut of meat to be a ribeye. The positive is the drinks were good and the crawfish dip was also very good. Downfall is our appetizer came out after our food. Our server did comp us for their mix-up.
Good food, good beer tap selection, good atmosphere.
I had a reservation at 1:30 and we stood at the hostess spot waiting for probably 20 minutes before we were seated. It took an hour and a half to get our food and it was cold. It took an additional 20 minutes for them to bring my dad's food and it was cold and the wrong order. We were there around 2 hours and 15 minutes for food that was so cold it was almost not edible
Service was great, food delicious!
Made a reservation and was told due to walk in traffic that a table was not available for 30 - 45 minutes, even though there was a confirmed email from Open Table staring the correct time and party size. Our party arrived 5 minutes before the resi time. The restaurant said that FGL he reservation was not “accepted” by the restaurant so it could not be honored. Load of crap.
Fortunately, our server (Cori) was fabulous and helped us at least enjoy dinner. We had family in town trying the restaurant for the first time, and based on this experience, we will probably not choose it again for a party larger than 4 people.
Loved it all. Great evening.
We had a nice experience here. The food was average. Pork tenderloin sandwich and sweet potatoes fries. Enjoyed the sandwich. Hubby had the lump crab salad, he really enjoyed it. Lots of crab, could of used a little more greens, but the dressing with it was wonderful. He wasn’t impressed by the with the gumbo. He has had better.
But overall we would go back to try some other things on menu. Pizza looked really good and they say they have gluten free crust. But wasn’t in mood to try this trip
Cool spot. Good lighting. Good food. Good drinks. Nice aesthetics.
Their salmon was to die for! My daughter had a burger and fries it was awesome! Can't wait to come back in June with my whole family!
We never visit Ole Miss without stopping at Southern Craft! Menu, food and service are always top shelf...
A nice birthday dinner after the football game
Booked for group and expected a nice atmosphere but was stuck down a hallway in a small room with family small kids and just not a fun experience. Food was marginal at best.
Our food was great and we were seated quickly for our reservation. Even with a football game weekend traffic, all went smoothly on a very busy night.
The food and service were wonderful. I am looking forward to a return trip.
Really good food!
We had a reservation for 8:45 and were never told that the Kitchen was closing at 9. Instead, our waitress continuously asked to take our order and we declined, saying we would like to order after we have enjoyed our appetizers that we ordered when we sat down. This man who seemed to be in some management position then came to our table and sternly told us that we needed to "figure out what we were ordering right now" and that he was sending his waitress back to us immediately after to take our order. Food came out quickly after but was mediocre. Totally understand how crazy a Saturday during football season can be, but there is no excuse for the attitude we received from management.
Food was great, service was good. Will definitely go back. I do want to add that we ate there at night and the lighting was very bright. I would prefer the lighting be turned down a bit. They also sat us by the door to the patio ( I assume there were heaters out there because people were sitting outside) so every few minutes, the door would open and about froze us to death. Other than that, was a very pleasant experience.
Already have. Loved the menu, Service. We ate there 2 times this past weekend. Once with a large group they gave us private room. Second time went back for Brunch before heading to airport and we sat outside and we had our small dog with us.
We booked a family birthday lunch, with an Alzheimer's patient, during an Ole Miss football game. A recipe for disaster, right? The downside: We waited two hours for our meal. The upside: The wait staff were very caring with our Alzheimers guest and brought him free slices of leftover pizza while we were waiting, then ice cream while we were still waiting. Our order (for a table of eight) was separated, and the chef came out, apologized, and comped the delayed dishes. My only constructive comment is that our waitress could have been more proactive, letting us know what was going on, offering pizza before we asked for something, checking in more often.... It seemed as though she was afraid and hiding out, versus trying to make lemonade from lemons. I would have appreciated more frequent updates, versus seeing her folding napkins while we were in the second hour of waiting for lunch.
I've taken my parents to Southern Craft before and had a good experience, so I'm chalking this up to a football weekend. I really appreciate the staff's response to our mini-crisis, and we'll certainly give the restaurant another try.
We had reservations for 8:30 pm and had to wait for a table. I should have known right then that it was not going to be a good experience. There was no leadership at the front and two girls were trying their best to manage customers who were waiting. We were a group of 6 and we were asked if we would take a booth with chairs on the end or wait. We said we would wait. At the same time I said we we would wait they have a table for 6 to a group of customers with only three in their party (they arrived after us as well). After we were seated outside, it took about 15 minutes for someone to come and give us menus and take our drink orders. The water cane in about 10 minutes but our drinks took 25 minutes. One person in our party ordered an appetizer and it arrived about 5 minutes after that but with no plates to eat or share! The plates came in about another 10 minutes and I asked the kid who brought them if he could take our order which he could not. Our server came out later - took our order and then we waited and waited and waited. Finally, our second round of appetizers showed up followed by a pizza that was the exact pizza I ordered and we were told that management se it out to us because of the long wait. I suspect that only a portion of our order was placed and they did not realize it until the pizza came out. An hour and half (plus or minus 5 minutes) we received our food. No apology from restaurant management. The restaurant was almost empty by now.
Extremely disappointed. Oxford has lots of restaurant choices and this place will not make it here if they don’t have leadership present and ensuring that customers are being seated promptly and that they are happy with the food and service.
The pimento cheese sandwich was excellent and definitely worth returning for. Our server Tatum made the night memorable.
Took my son and his college friends out to dinner. Great times!
Very slow service. Took forever to get a server to start with, ordered drinks and meals at the same time; the pizza arrived before the drinks. How does that happen.
This was a great find! We were a party of 10 visiting Oxford for a football weekend. Southern Craft was the perfect spot to finish our day. There was something on the menu for everyone and it was all delicious! The staff was well trained and very accommodating. Southern hospitality at its best! I only wish we lived closer so we could visit regularly.
This place is a Hidden Gem. Service was excellent. The manager even came out and greeted us. We were a party of 10 and they were also willing to take a reservation where many would not. Hard to find , but worth it!!!
