Celebrating new position
Dinner was great
Food was good, but not enough to make up for the service or price. Waited 25 minutes for our drinks and the place was barely 25% full. $22 for a cheese and meat plate with a few slices of meat and cheese. Brought the family here a few years ago and this place has gone downhill since.
Not based on this past weekend experience the atmosphere wasn’t what I expected. Wanted to eat in the restaurant but was placed in the ballroom. It wasn’t a great experience for my family and I .
Fantastic dining. The menu changed since our last visit but otherwise a very excellent dinner.
We moved from Atlanta 2 years ago and came back for a day in the city. Southern Art and Bourbon Bar on a week night was a good place to visit with good friends, wait for the traffic to ease out before starting home and put a perfect ending to good day in Atlanta!
Food was excellent. Was disappointed that they were out of the fried green tomorrow’s. Service was slow despite the empty restaurant on a Monday noght
Everything was outstanding! Our server, Chris, was one of the best waiters I've ever had. He was attentive and wonderful. Highly recommend this restaurant.
My family enjoyed Southern Art on a Saturday evening celebrating my sons 21st birthday. The service was great and attentive. The food was delicious and the drinks were perfect and plentiful!!!! Beautiful restaurant and awesome ambiance.
We went for a birthday celebration. After looking at reviews, we thought it would be the perfect spot. Service was so bad that we only ordered appetizers and went to another restaurant for dinner.
Would be 5 stars all the way, but the prices on the menu are incorrect. The web site lists the correct prices.
Excellent experience from beginning to end. Service and servers were excellent. Food was great and drinks were on point. We were celebrating my boyfriends bday and they made him feel so special.
Easter Brunch was incredible here!
The only reason I didn’t give the service a 5 star is because I left 5 messages over a period of two weeks attempting to change my reservation time. I made the reservation over open table and have found that the timing is more flexible if I call the facility directly. Otherwise I was very pleased. This is my second family Easter celebration at this hotel. Each time we have had at least 10 family members in our party.
Amazing Easter Brunch buffet! Easter Bunny, Easter egg hunt, and petting zoo. We had the best experience!
It was our third time at the Easter brunch. The food, decorations and petting zoo were scaled back quite drastically, but the price per person increased. This was very disappointing. Also, for $100 per head, you would think that they would at least include espresso coffee & mimosas, but we were charged extra for those. Food quality and service was good but very overpriced.
The food was pretty good. I loved how attentive our waiter was when it came to our bottomless mimosas, I never saw the bottom of my glass. The environment was very nice and quiet however i did go at 12p on a Sat during Easter weekend.
Brunch was nice. The omlet/ waffle line was very long. The food was delicious
Food, atmosphere and service were excellent. The bar program needs attention. When advertising as a bourbon one expects the bourbon menu to be available for consumption. It took 4 attempts to find a bourbon that was in stock. I can understand the the pappys of the world being out of stock but weller, elmer and elijah craig i expect to be available from a bar with bourbon it its name.
Terrific food and service.
Excellent choice and food delicious .
Wonderful food, great service and ambiance. Beautiful decor in restaurant. Parking ticket was stamped by server. Very nice!
We were at a conference in Atlanta and dined at the Southern Art and Bourbon Bar. Everything was excellent. The fried green tomatoes were the best we ever had. All the southern dishes were amazing! Shrimps and grits, fried chicken, collard greens were fantastic! All the other dishes were also well prepared, perfectly cooked and delicious. All our guests were super happy with the service and dinner.
The food was amazing and great drink options. Romantic ambiance
The food was just okay - those who had the fried chicken said it was very good, but everyone else said that their food was average. Our main disappointment was the service. We were a large party, but the restaurant was essentially empty, and we were our Waiter's only table. We were at the restaurant close to 2.5 hours, and consequently were late to the event we were attending. The biggest ordeal was the checks, which our server could not split correctly despite the fact that we all sat directly across from the person we were paying with. The final frustration was that one couple had ordered the "whole bird with 2 sides," which clearly stated on the menu that it came with 2 sides. The server charged them for the second side, and when they questioned it, he told them that they were wrong. It wasn't until they asked for a menu and showed him that he apologized and corrected it and claimed that it was a new menu change that he was unfamiliar with. Overall, we went in with high expectations based on the reviews on OpenTable, and ultimately left disappointed.
What a hidden gem! The food was fantastic; the ambiance was interesting and our server, Gregory, was spot on! I hope I have time to visit again before I leave Atlanta.
Delicious food, the fried chicken is amazing, and great service!
Excellent service, ambiance and food. Table selected was great for conversation and an overall great experience.
Food and ambiance very good as usual
Sat us very near another couple on the elevated dining area just above us and it was like they were in our conversation- we could hear everything they said. If the place had been more crowded it probably wouldn’t have been as bad.
They took great care of us and every bite and sip was memorable!!! Great “when in Rome” restaurant for a visitor!
Disappointed in how little flavor the food had (butternut squash soup, signature fried chicken, mashed potatoes) except for the Brussels sprouts. Service excellent, love the chandeliers!
Was disappointed in the food. Our server was terrific. Great drink. Great fried green tomatoes but my fried chicken entree was mediocre. The cauliflower grits were intensely oversalted, the chicken was just ok, The brussel sprouts a bit too sweet.
Not as good as I had hoped.
We had a very enjoyable time. Food was excellent as was the service. Innovative twists on southern dishes. All beautifully presented by a very attentive and professional staff. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun night out.
Food was excellent. Steak was prepared perfectly. Dessert was a highlight. The crust on the apples was heavenly. Would definitely return.
Date night with my sister! First time for both of us. I am visiting from Miami. Food was great, service was better!
Another incredible meal at Southern Art and Bourbon Bar. Great food, great drinks, great value.
Our table service from Chris was exceptional with good conversation and humor. The food was prepared to perfection.
The service was absolutely horrible and the staff was extremely rude. I love the hotel it is in but I would never eat here again.
The Server Chris was outstanding. The whole experience was worth it.
Wanted to have crab & avocado minus the toast
