Southbound Smokehouse - Augusta
Our table was ready and waiting for us. The food was delicious as always, great service, special order no problem. The only thing lacking perfection is the beer selection. Maybe add more from Restoration Brewery like "Jude"
Service was great food was awesome but for what I paid for a tray the portions could have been alittle but larger.
Great venue; great service. Thank you!
Would have like more entre selections on the "limited menu."
Why ask what kind of seating you want on a reservation if you aren’t going to pay any attention to it? The hostess did nut really pay attention when I told her we had a reservation. She sat us at a high top even though I had requested standard seating. She said that was all that they had. They weren’t all that busy.
Food was ok, but not as good as on previous visits.
No longer have waffle fries ( which were very good) but regular fries that tasted frozen. They also used to have a salad with strawberries which was no longer on the menu.
The menu at the north Augusta location seems to be more extensive and I wonder if all of their efforts are going to that location. The central avenue location was not busy.
The biggest issue was the rush they seemed to be in to get us in and out.
We ordered drinks. Then We ordered soul rolls as an app. It came out and was good. We ordered entrees a few minutes after the app came out and they came out just a few minutes later. We hadn’t even finished the app.
We were out of there 45 minutes after we sat down.
Didn’t make me want to come back
Sad because we have enjoyed southbound in the past
Food and service were excellent. We got there when they opened and were seated immediately and they had a table that would accommodate my husbands Powerchair. Saw a set up for live entertainment but we left before it started. If you like a sports bar atmosphere with live entertainment and great food this is the place to go.
Great service with good BBQ. A frequent go-to. Glad there’s now one closer at SRP Park.
Southbound has a solidly developed menu. The food we've tried on two separate occasions was really delicious! I wouldn't recommend the "homemade salsa" - it lacks any real flavor profile. Our waitstaff on both occasions were great - super friendly, attentive and efficient. The ambience is what you'd expect at a smokehouse restaurant/bar and night music event venue.
Overall, Southbound gets a solid two thumbs up. We'll be going back for sure!
I would say that the absolute best thing about this place was our server. Very patient and very accommodating and paid let us know that she was there for our needs. We will be back to see her.
