Our menu is a combination of classic chip-shop fare and more worldly seafood flavours with our in-house Poke bar. South Sailor works closely with local suppliers to receive the best of the local produce sustainable seafood from the NSW south coast, Australia and NZ.

What a nice surprise South Sailor was - the best grilled Barramundi - the service was attentive but not invasive - also loved that the tables in the outdoor area were not too close to each other - lovely experience catching up with an old friend.
We dined on the $39 set menu and the food was absolutely amazing. I couldn't believe how much food we actually got for such a reasonable price! All the different flavours were melt in your mouth delicious and I can't wait to come back and try the regular menu. The outdoor seating area was so beautiful and the staff were all very friendly and answered every question our group had. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars!

I've been to this restaurant a few times before always been very good but this time the food was very underwhelming not sure whether they have the same chef anymore just not as good as before. Pretty disappointing

Amazing food!! We have found our new favourite seafood spot...beautiful and delicately cooked seafood with inspired flavours. Nepalese curry is a crowd pleaser for sure. Love it!
Our waitress (yes, it was a she) was very well informed and attentive. Enjoyed eating inside the restaurant! We could have a conversation without having to shout or ask others at the end of the table to repeat what they had said.. ..Lovely leisurely lunch.. we will be back!

We had a lovely dinner with our family last Saturday evening. Although there were no more tables inside, the outside area is well protected from the weather and we remained very comfortable throughout the evening. Food was beautiful as always, although I think the signature seafood sharing plate was minimised somewhat. Previously we had more hot dishes and a nice salad. Our salad was quite a plain green salad, just leaves and a dressing.
Overall a lovely evening with 4 stars

I loved the fish and prawn curry. Just the right portion size. This restaurant is a quality outfit with friendly and professional staff. Each one of my three visits has been most enjoyable.

Friendly and attentive staff, great food and drinks. We arrived early and were accommodated without fuss. Waiters missed a couple of things later as the night was busy (lemon for a dish, wrong drink) but all was rectified quickly and with a smile. Get there early for happy hour if you can- amazing oysters and sparkling rosè. We’ll definitely be back!
As always we had the most wonderful dining experience at South Sailor. Julia and her staff went above and beyond and we never felt rushed even though we were the last ones left in the restaurant. The food was delicious 👏🏻
It's a fabulous scene, with a great ambience. The food is melt-in-your-mouth. The Korean Fried Chicken & the Barrato cheese are my favourites.

We really enjoyed our meal at South Sailor last Saturday night. Our only concern is the lack of room to eat. We have been to South Sailor previously and were given the same small round table that isn't big enough for the plates of food and drinks. The tables are also very close. It's a pity.

Really lovely staff and atmosphere but unfortunately I found the food disappointing. The meals we had were unique combinations of cuisines which sounded interesting but they just didn’t succeed in being tasty. I would be hesitant to try again at this stage.

We had a seafood share for 2 which gives you a taste of most of the menu. This was a good choice as there were so many delectable options on the menu. Also a good selection of wines and Asahi on tap. A little disconnect between the person who took our order and the person who served. But this was only minor.
It is a good local restaurant with extremely good service.
We have eaten here before and enjoyed the food that’s why we chose to bring our out of town friends here for an enjoyable meal prior to a show at Anita’s Theatre. It took 30 minutes to get a drink and after an hour we were still waiting to give our order. After complaining things moved along faster but we missed 30 minutes of the show. The food was nice but not as good as I remembered. A lot less care and love on the plate - eg. too much dressing, coleslaw was a little tough.
My wife and I have been to SS many times and enjoyed our meals. This last time there was something missing with the flavours, they were a little bland. Has SS changed owners/chef? I did notice that there were all new staff.......
