Delicious fresh food served nicely and friendly staff.
Have been to this restaurant twice. Had their early dining specials both times. First time had the salmon. It was excellent. Second visit had the white basa fish. It was mediocre and seemed undercooked. I would not have this again. Several others in my group had the short ribs. They all loved them and on my next visit, that is what I will try. All-in-all, I like this restaurant. It’s size reminds me of a restaurant you might visit in Greenwich Village. Cozy, but not cramped at all as there is plenty of space between the tables. A nice dining experience.
I was so surprised How great the food was for the value for early seating. We were pleasantly surprised and treated wonderfully. Next time we’re in Florida we will be sure to visit again
We enjoy eating out of doors with our dog. We always have good service.
Love this restaurant. We love sitting outside. Food is excellent!
First off staff was very slow even acknowledging us to give us water. Risotto all tasted the same. Would not return.
The 4 of us had fresh tasty salads and then the red fish special and scallops. All enjoyed their dishes, and would order the same, again.
Had brunch on Mother's Day. The food was luke warm. I usually enjoy the food here but this time, not so much.
My daughter and I went to South Fork Grille on Mother’s Day for brunch. We were greeted immediately and seated. They were offering free mimosas to each Moyer as a thank you. They had revised their brunch menu and the offerings are wonderful. There is something for everyone. Our server was great. Our god excellent. The whole experience was wonderful
We always enjoy coming to South Fork Grille, whether it is a couples date or girl's night out. Food and service are both impressive. A little too cold to sit inside comfortably for very long. I'd rather sit outside and with the fans going it is quite pleasant.
Great early bird special. Server was very sweet and helpful but inexperience showed. Will return all summer.
I rarely give bad reviews as I don't think it's always fair. But my experience was so poor that I felt obligated to let the restaurant know. Positives. The server was very pleasant, but she seemed to disappear for long periods of time without checking back and we needed things. The caprese' salad was very nice. The bad, it was loud, small children running around banging on our chairs. This was a poor choice for me as a business dinner. Food was just ok. Worst brussel sprouts EVER. My short rib was dry and truly was only a beef roast. Only one person in our group of five enjoyed their dinner. For the quality of food the price was not appropriate. I had eaten there for lunch a couple times and it was good. But because of my last experience I'll never go back for either Lunch of dinner.
Have been there many times and always have the same amazing salmon. Outdoor seating is very pleasant with overhead fans.
The Early Bird Dining is a wonderful value, dinner for 2 plus a bottle of wine included. The special early bird menu offers many choices, along with several gluten free options clearly marked on the menu. We went out of tourist season so we had our choice of tables. Although it was 90 degrees outside, they have large cooling fans, and we were all quite comfortable.
Restaurant was beautiful but loud. Food was great and hot.
I am lactose intolerant and have to avoid gluten as well. Our server made sure the sauce on the filet I ordered would be GF and also switched the starch and vegetable option to follow my restricted diet. The dinner was delicious and I cleaned my plate. My husband had the pork chop and was equally pleased.
Yes, the early dining is a very good value, but the Bassa White Fish we ordered was under cooked and mushy. Should have asked for it to be cooked medium well. Service was excellent; very friendly.
The atmosphere, food and service was excellent. You get a lot of “bang” for your money here.
This was the second visit in the last two weeks and, unfortunately, at both 6:30 reservations they had run out of salmon. Disappointing. Two orders of cobia: One was perfect, but the other was way over cooked. Management was apologetic and offered complimentary dessert (of which we did not take advantage. But nice gesture). Simple but nice wine list. Outside dining is very pleasurable and we could carry on conversation at normal voice levels. It did seem to be very loud inside as we passed through. Service was very good during both visits. We will give them another shot and hopefully they will have solved the salmon shortage.
Excellent neighborhood restaurant with very nice indoor-Outdoor seating and, most importantly, great food and a good wine selection
We have never been disappointed at this restaurant.
Unfortunately, though this place is just too overpriced for a return visit. Food was OK but far from great and the cramped dining room made it kind of uncomfortable. At $30+ a plate, I expect to be wowed a little. I will give it to the service staff however they were very good.
We had a problem with one of our dinners and it was handled beautifully by the Manager. Also, we had an outside reservation and when the weather looked bad we got a call from Southfork in the afternoon asking if we wanted to change our reservation to inside. We appreciated that even though the restaurant was very crowded as there was no outside service. Overall,a good experience.
I would recommend South Fork Grille with a couple caveats: the food is very good, but the restaurant is rather crowded and loud. Service depends on who you get. On the day we went, our waitress barely gave us attention. We had to ask twice to find her - once to take our order after waiting a long time and another to get our check. At another time, we received good service.
We were at Southfork 3 times in the last month and everything was perfect this time. We ate outside and it was a lovely evening in the shade.
One of our friends ordered the calamari, this time the portion was much better than the time we actually brought it to the attention of our waiter (which was very skimpy) and he brought it to the attention of the manager. Nothing was done at the time. We felt it should have been eliminated from the check.
Usually, the food is very good.
My coworker was very sick after eating a fish and chip.
Manager only said sorry, was telling the chef......
Will never go again, all my friend know.
We went for the early dinner which was very good! Good selections.
Great each time
Will be a go to spot for sure
Very busy but staff keeps their cool
Great dirty martini too
Sat outside. Patio had nice coverage from the sun. Waitress was very nice and accommodating. Food was good. One waiter got a bit confrontational about where I put my purse but it didn’t ruin the day. 👍
The food and service were indeed excellent. However it was a bit noisy in the indoor dining area.
South Fork Grille presented a beautiful menu, wonderful food and well paired wines for a custom 3 course wine dinner to celebrate my son's engagement. A lovely evening, thank you!
Good food but too loud
We like South Fork for its ambiance. The white table clothes and the uniformed waiters and waitresses make a nice impression. We especially like the early bird special but it is so crowed it is hard to get a table. All in all we like the young and pleasant staff and the menu.
Great food, service is okay but not great. Still would go there again
Great food. A little loud.
This restaurant was much better when we tried in January. Two of the three entrees were not great -- mine was overcooked and barely warm. My husband didn't even eat half of his seafood special (very unusual). My daughter had the pork chop and enjoyed it. Sitting outdoors was very nice -- not nearly as noisy as inside. The first experience a couple months ago was great -- which is why I took my family when they were here. Was really disappointed this time.
I was there 2 times in a row. Both times with a reservation and was offered the worst table each time. I was told the more desirable tables were reserved.
Ordered the Thai lettuce wraps and could not eat them because of the extreme hit spicy taste. How about something with a kick but not something that leaves an afterburn?????
Great location, excellent service, food was not very good though. We had the calamari - decent,
mussels - okay, spinach salad - good, but nothing special and the lobster roll - disgusting and super fishy. YUCK!
Booth lunches were below your normal standard. Was the chef out sick that day. We won't be back for a while.
