Lovely neighborhood restaurant with a very welcoming, warm environment. Food was outstanding - as was the menu. Great service from Jesse - we’ll definitely be back!
Food was delicious and a drink menu was great
A little too close for comfort in terms of covid precautions- not likely to go back to dine in during Covid, however the food and drinks are amazing as always!
I havent been for a while, so I can only compare it to two years back, and maybe 2020 took its toll, but this place has hit the slippery slope...now just a very average place to go for brunch, and gone is the special effort to produce first class food....and to crown it all, we bought croissants on the way out, and they crumbles to pieces because they were so stale and dry. This place gets a pass for now, given the situation, but they had better up their game....this was a place that was booked out weeks in advance...now there tables and times galore...Pay Attention management...it looks like I am not the only one who has you on the clock
The food and drinks were great! Service tapered off throughout our meal, but overall it was acceptable.
We sat upstairs which is super cute and has only three tables so the the bar. Our waiter was also the bar tender. He did not acknowledge us sitting there for over 10 minutes. He had an extremely dry and sarcastic sense of humor. However he inserted himself in the conversation multiple times. The service was so slow and it took over an hour to get our egg breakfast dishes. Nobody brought us silverware or plates for our apps. I love the atmosphere and the food is good. However our server and the painfully slow service will prevent us from going back. We will stick with the coffee shop
It was New Years Eve. We decided to dine out early not knowing what the scene would be like. We were lucky to get a reservation at the last minute. A great choice! The food was superb and the service great. Their strict adherence to Covid-19 protocols made for a more relaxed experience.
Great meal! Omelette was amazing. Service was excellent.
The eggs benedict is amazing! The building is beautiful!
Excellent. In the bar area. Bartender/server most congenial and attentive.
We had the best waiter (Jesse?) and essentially a private dining room. We sat at a high top in the bar room. I believe the only other diners were actually his parents. We had excellent, relaxed service with plenty of laughter accompanied by delicious food.
Food was good, drinks were excellent (espresso martini). Our server was fantastic. Personable , attentive and engaging. Can’t remember his name but he worked the back room on 12/12/20
The food was fantastic. I went with their regular breakfast, opting for sausage to be added as well. For being a basic breakfast, consisting of just two eggs, two fairly small pancakes, 2 small sausages, I thought $14 was a bit of a joke. It's saving grace though, was that the pancakes were delicious, not being overly sweet, and the sausages tasted so fresh! They weren't like those 'whatever' diner sausages you get at most places. I will say though, who puts their pancakes, eggs (I got sunnyside) and sausages on a small plate and then expect me to pour maple syrup over everything. Lowkey highkey wack, but, it was tasty! Those truffle fries though, OOMPH THOSE ARE TO DIE FOR! I was OBSESSSSSSSSSED. Also, our waiter was the coolest dude ever. I don't remember his name, but he made us our cocktails as well, and he made the experience even better! P.S. yeah, you guys make a good cup of joe too.
Great Steak for a great Value! I highly recommend it!
Outdoor seating was COVID safe and cozy with the gas towers. Food was excellent. Service was very good.
Delicious brunch and brilliant service. Highly recommend!
Very solid food in terms of flavor. Really good service. Great Value overall!
The food and service wasn't bad. It was cold and the heat lamps weren't close enough to the tables.
We waited a while before being greeted by our server, but other than that, food and drinks were delicious.
Very cute little place. Food and drinks were very good, our waiter was very attentive. Would definitely recommend
What a perfect experience. We sat outside and our server Laila was delightful. She made it look effortless as she went between her tables. We both had the kale and brussels sprout salad with an pouched egg on top...cooked perfectly. The owner came over and said hello and made us feel really special. It was a very nice day and we stayed for a few hours. At no point did they try and rush us out. They even sent a complimentary basked of pastries over. coffee was delicious too...although 3 cups was probably a lot! Great experience. I have been here for dinner and have used them for catering but never breakfast/brunch. Very high recommendations!
A great place to grab breakfast and ease into the day. The downstairs area was a cozy spot to enjoy a great meal
Great vibe in the south end-great food, well priced.
Went to the Buttery with 3 girlfriends to celebrate their birthdays. Jesse, our server and bartender was great! He was very attentive and made some delicious cocktails! It was a very relaxed environment.
Beautiful spot for brunch in the South End. Their biscuits are not to be missed! Homemade for our Eggs Benedict’s — we devoured.
I ate outside and the traffic is minimal, the Fall weather was also very kind to us being warm. The food is pricey, but delicious! Also, the drinks are to die for.
Excellent home fries!!
Everything was excellent. Loved the bourbon/apple cider cocktail and the omelet was prepared perfectly.
Though it was a chilly night, we enjoyed our night outside at South End Buttery. Food was delicious..wait staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Can't wait to go back!
Excellent food!! I had Benedicts and a breakfast scone and both were amazing. The service was really good but our table was downstairs and it was really noisy.
Great food and service; host was able to accommodate our last minute group size change
The dining area was pretty dirty which during this time is not very comforting.
Food quality and service definitely took a hit recently. Still decent but not as good as it used to be before covid.
It was a beautiful fall day out. The food was great and exactly what I wanted. It was a great brunch.
We sat in the booth in the dining room off of the cafe, I would have liked to see the downstairs dining I think that would have been a little bit of a cozier vibe But upstairs was still very nice. Great service and the food was amazing, the ricotta fritters with Nutella ... just get them. Eggs Benedict was SO good, best I’ve had. All around amazing brunch spot!
Delicious food! Asked for outside seating and was sat inside which with covid was not happy about. Also no dividers up which would have been nice to see. But food amazing like always!
My boyfriend and I loved the south end buttery. We sat in the basement which had a fireplace, lots of brick and stone and a beautiful wood ceiling. Very cozy vibes. Service was a bit slow but nothing too bad. Drinks were super tasty and decently priced! Truffle fries were AMAZING and my turkey burger was very good. Definitely would go here again soon.
This place really wasn’t it, the mimosas were good but the food itself was very mediocre I got a breakfast sandwich and it was not at all what I anticipated or expected. I’m pretty sure that they are pre-cooking the items for the sandwiches and then putting them together whenever someone orders one. Lol not trying to be a jerk but 70$ for 2 breakfast sandwiches and 2 mimosas was kind of far out. The greens served on the side were tasty though lol.
Try to hard to be fancy, watery coffee. Hair in food. Very bland food. Strong taste of "tap" in both water served and food. Normally don't do reviews, but with this being a place that you have to provide credit card info for a table reservation, potential customers should be aware of the not so worth it experience. Also, if a hoity-toity family walks in behind you, they will get sat and served before you.
Everything was insanely delicious! I could’ve ordered anything off the menu - it all sounded (and tasted) so incredible.
