South Coast Winery Tasting Room
We were here for wine tasting, we didn't actually eat food. Our server was awesome, the wine was delicious and we had a great time!
It was a great date with my husband. The service was great, welcoming, and professional. They took Covid measures seriously even when we dined outside such as tables 6 feet away, wait staff was in masks and gloves, and food were in disposable containers. The music in the background was romantic and the wine was absolutely wonderful. We are looking forward to another date night soon.
As always, amazing time at the winery. Great customer service!
Great wine selection
Great place!
Terrific atmosphere and the wine tasting experience was great. We sampled a charcuterie board while wine tasting. Great service, friendly staff! We would definitely return.
Have been a member for years always a great time 👍🇺🇸
Pleasant relaxing dining area. Attentive server, Recommend.
Props go to Kristi at the front desk and Malay and Chaz by the pool for making sure we were well taken care of!
It was a bit hot outside, but I can't fault the winery fornthat. It was a lovely, relaxing day regardless. The food was as good as preprepared packaged food can be expected to be and the flight was generous. Waiter was amazing.
I was meeting two friends who arrived in Florida. Everything was wonderful. The location, the service and the food.
I THOUGHT I had made reservations for dinner.
But no, when we get there they have no record of us.
Then they tell me I made reservations for the tasting room. That’s not what I did, but of course they treated me like an idiot and said they had no seating available. I said thank you, and spent my $400 at Calloway. Much better food, and infinitely better service.
As usual, the South Coast Winery was great. We were there late, so everything was sent out in disposable trays. Food, excellent, servers res delightful.
Terrible service. We had a reservation at 4 and they sat a reservation for 5PM before us!
The wine tasting was a little not so exciting. The wine flights were nice but the food was brought in paper boxes. It didn't help with the experience of what a charcuterie and cheese plate is supposed to be. Made me feel like I purchased cheese and meats prepackaged from the grocery store. It definitely was not one I would recommend because all the other wineries we visited brought their food in their regular nice plating. So you can't blame it on the COVID. It was a little disappointing since it was our first time visiting that winery and we were celebrating a birthday. On top of that, spending over $200 wasn't worth the experience. anyways, hope this helps. Thanks.
The hotel and ambience is gorgeous, service was good. The food did not match the price.
I was very happy with the visit however As a member, I made my reservation on open table app and specified I wanted to sit on the terrace for 6 people. When we arrived they said there was nothing available anymore once we said it was only going to be for 4 people. I opted to wait till one opened and fortunately you guys fit us in. However, using the app I want to be assured I can get my special requests fulfilled. Otherwise I was pretty satisfied with the service.
Thankyou

Love this venue and being able to taste Great wine sitting comfortably at a table with a beautiful view. We suggest they keep this option even after it opens up to go inside.
It was confusing to find the tasting area. Had to be re-directed three times. Was really hoping to sit by the misters since it was extremely hot and smokey but reserved for members only. The tasting area had no real view and the fans just blew more hot air towards us and it was noisy. Not the birthday experience I was hoping for.
The waiter Evan did not make any conversation, he never came back and asked us if we needed anything. The group next to us was very loud so I would not sit a big party next to others. The water mists could have been located in a better place to actually hit us cause we could not feel them and it was extremely hot. Need fans and misters in the right areas especially during hot weather and Covid.
Lovely outside wine tasting with wonderful wine flights. We did get concerned about safety when we had to wait inside in a crowded hallway for 15 minutes to check in with no social distancing or masks enforced. We were in the front and people kept entering and pushing forward. The sign said to wait but there was no hostess. The clerk working the wine shop said they'd be with us shortly but we were close to leaving. Group grew to about 12 people + people cowding through to use the bathroom before hostess showed up. We'd been about 10 min early for 3pm reservation so maybe they schedule breaks between reservations? This was a Thursday so I'd be cautious about weekends if you are trying to be safe.
Service, food and ambiance were superb! I love the Covid solution to wine tasting, very classy. I also love the atmosphere on the patio with the misters. I want Covid to go away, but I hope this new method of wine tasting never goes away.
This was our first visit to the winery, and we had high expectations. Sadly, they were not met.
My white wine flight was below room temperature, but we were outside where the temperature was 90 degrees, so the wine was really too warm.
My husband didn't find anything remarkable about his red flight, but it may have been the temperature and the fact that there was almost no staff interaction.
The charcuterie tray was too warm and the cheese and meats were greasy. The presentation was hampered by the disposable container.
Great atmosphere, when there is wind then it helps cool you off. The staff was great and talked us through the menu and pairings. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone at any time of the day.
Everything was great! They maintained safety standards and made us very comfortable. Joey was our server and he did a great job! I highly recommend South Coast Winery!
South coast was great! The patio was well shaded and servers were nice and attentive. Their wine club is a great deal and we joined! We will definitely be back!
We did not order any food but everything else was fantastic.
We were seated promptly and our waiter was very nice
Very relaxing time. The weather was excellent.... but I can't give it a 4 star due to the Covid19 restrictions.
Boyfriend and I decided to wine taste before we checked into South Coast. The tasting room and plenty of space for social distancing and a misting system to keep the guest cool since it was ~100 degrees at the time. We enjoyed our experience: the wine flights were cool, the signature Alaskan cheese was bomb, the trip tip sandwich was yummy. The service was... ok. They did inform us about the signature cheese (only cause we asked), and they did not recommend any type of wines, so that’s why we decided to just get flights (which I’m glad we did).
Our tasting appointment was for 4:00. Our dinner reservation was for 5:45. We were asked to leave the tasting patio at 5:00. Why not leave the tasting patio open for an additional half hour until the dining room opens so that the transition is seamless.
I love coming to SC but with COVID I know it is challenging. I missed having misters running during the extreme heat and there were not enough servers to be able to ask questions and touch base. It was very disconnected. I could order additional wine, but they couldn't bring my wine club order to the table, so we had to go in and get in a line to just pickup the wine club. When inside it appeared two people were off to the side and were serviced prior to the people in the main line; it should be clear if there is a separate line just for picking up wine club orders, or just for serving wine club members. We understand times are not as they usually are.
They sat us down and forgot about us. I took some friends for the first time and the service was not what I expected especially since I am a member. I had to go look for someone to serve us. They couldn’t figure out who would it be. They also kept changing the music. My friends felt very awkward especially were we got sat at.
I was charged twice for our lunch. I paid with a credit card left a cash tip. When leaving the server came out after us and said we had to pay by cash, credit or charge to our room. I was confused by this and said to charge our room. When checking out of our room, we were charged for lunch in the tasting room . When checking my credit card there’s also a charge for the lunch.
I would like a refund. I was charged twice.
Lovely setting, outstanding service. Looking forward to our next trip
Villas were awesome just need to have a fan in restrooms. Overall beautiful place to visit.
102 degrees - no fans or misters. Don't like "flight" approach - prefer to select wines from a list to taste. Server had to substitute one of the wines. We ordered food - $25 for a small Charcuterie box and $18 for a small Hummus box - very ordinary and poor value for the high cost. Surprised no Chardonnay wine.
When the server presented the check she said I had to include the tip while she stood there and before she charged my credit card. I felt obligated to write a larger tip than I had planned with her standing there. I've never heard of that practice before. Overall a very unsatisfactory experience!
We are members of the winery and the service is always first class.
Amazing service! Delicious wine! Beautiful grounds :)
Sammmuel poured our tastings and he was knowledgeable and did a great job!
