   Gave a fair for service because the waitress was very good but the kitchen service very poor because there was a kitchen worker that could be seen from the open kitchen with no hairnet and shaking her hair over the counter where she was preparing food. This same kitchen worker was seen on her phone and scratching her scalp in the kitchen where the food was being prepared. She also had on no gloves and not one time did she wash her hands.

   overall food was sub par. we have been there before but this was not the best experience. got the deviled eggs and they were soupy and tasted stale.

   We had a wonderful experience at South City Kitchen Avalon. We stayed at the Avalon hotel so we went for Dinner and then for Brunch the next day. Both experiences were amazing. The staff accommodated our needs with no issue, and the food was phenomenal. This will be one of our new go to spots from here on.

   This place was FANTASTIC! I am not usually a fan of pork chops, but the way they described the cold-smoking method and the ability to serve it on the less-done side, convinced me to try it and I was impressed! It was moist and very flavorful. Our server was great and helped us navigate the menu to specific choices that we all wanted. I would highly recommend this place. We were there on a business meal and it worked out great, but the ambiance is also great for a nice dinner date as well.

   Went for brunch, food was just meh. Paid a lot for food we didn't enjoy. Service was fine but probably won't revisit.

   Hard upsell before we even ordered our first glass, but overall, it was a nice place to bring visitors to the South.

   Trout was pretty dry, rib eye very fatty but cooked well, pork chop was not very tender .

    Went in for a Sunday Brunch. This was my second time there for a Sunday Brunch and was a completely different experience than the first time. This time, they had a lounge singer with an acoustic guitar player serenading everyone, but the space is much too small for such loud speakers. None of us could hear each other talk. The singer was great and did a lot of Frank Sinatra, but it is just too loud and poorly planned for the space. The food was just meh in comparison to what I got the first time. The first time I got the King Biscuit which was pretty good. This time I got the standard breakfast and it just wasn't worth the price. The espresso martini was great as were the biscuits served in a basket. I would like to try this for dinner, but I am not sure I would come back for Sunday Brunch. The ambiance is very nice and a great setting for a romantic dinner.
