South City Kitchen Buckhead

We were late getting there and the hostess was over the top accommodating. Alex was our waitress, very personable and a great waitress. Thanks for a great evening!!
I am from California and always enjoyed South City Kitchen over the past few years, especially because it is a short walk from the Grand Hyatt. This trip, I invited my family and was totally disappointed and quite embarrassed for making the recommendation. I miss my favorite spot.
Love the Buckhead location the best. Food was delicious. The service was great, and enjoyed the music there too (Motown oldies).
2nd year in a row dining here for my birthday. The staff, food and service is always impeccable!
Wonderful experience thanks to Emmanuel! Great service and food to take a client!
I had important senior executive guests from Beijing. They insisted on South City Kitchen because of #1 ranking by Travel Advisor. Disappointingly, they now have a profoundly negative opinion of Southern food.
I assured them your items were not a good representation of Fried Green Tomatoes, Fried. Hi Ken, Meatloaf, or Salads. Very sad
The food was delicious. We had one issue with a food order and it was quickly corrected. Our server was enthusiastic and made our holiday luncheon a great occasion!
This place is one of my go to places for good food. I went there for lunch an I would highly recommend their bloody marys. We ordered bunch of other things like brisket bennedict and shakshooka and both the dishes were really good.
The South City Kitchen team was amazing from when we sat until we left. We celebrated my daughters 16th bday and they made it incredibly special . Thank you so much for an incredible brunch !!
You know, I absolutely Love it! Food, service, And ambience was splendid
We dined upstairs and it is as very nice. We have been to this restaurant previous a few times but this was the first time we were upstairs.
I will request the second floor again.
We always have a great experience at South City Kitchen Buckhead.
Excellent food and service! Their shrimp and grits are amazing.
We went for New Year’s Eve and the fixed menu was great
My good friend’s birthday dinner. Our server Elizabeth was very bland, dull, and uninterested in serving us. She was disengaged and very unfriendly. I doubt we’ll ever go back.
This place never disappoints. Great food, knowledgeable staff and friendly faces. Southern hospitality at its best.
Emanuel was our waiter and was OUTSTANDING! The food was AWESOME. The atmosphere was PERFECT!
I’m typically a regular at the Vinings location and usually order the Spring Mountain Farms Fried Chicken which is usually on point. I bragged to my grandparents about how great the food would be and was highly disappointed. The Chicken look like it had been fried in old grease, just didn’t look appetizing at all. Needless to say I’m not a big complainer, but expected far better especially since its location is in Buckhead.
Great Food! We will be back!
Christmas Eve meal was great!
The staff at this location are so pleasant and endearing. We come here often because we’re treated so well every time. Great people
Christmas party with family - the service was excellent and the food delicious! We requested and were seated at a both that gave us both privacy and room to exchange some small gifts. We’ll definitely be back.
Great lunch. Professional service!
Great food with very inventive combinations.
Made a reservation for holiday lunch. Requested a quiet area and was accommodated with a table in a small area on the porch with just a few tables. The staff was attentive, the wine was nice and food definitely on par with expectations. Never been to this location in Buckhead, only in Midtown, but experience and food were just as good as I experienced in Midtown. Always love the fried green tomatoes and the grilled chicken salad with green goddess dressing was perfect for lunch.
Really great food and service. The chicken livers were claimed to be the best ever. The Hoppin John was great.
Made reservations and expected to be seated in main dining for white table cloth service. This was a business meeting. Was seated in enclosed patio without being asked if it was acceptable. Surroundings were anything but elegant. Noise level was high. Staff started cleaning to close down the space while we were still seated. Had I not been to your restaurant before, I would never return. The experience was not worth the price nor up to your standards. You should do much better.
Unique dishes, beautifully prepared. Great selection to choose from. Quaint ambiance. Enjoyed the trout tremendously! And the cornbread muffins were incredible!
Made a last minute reservation on the wrong day. The hostess kindly adjusted my reservation and we sat at the bar. Fantastic wine and cocktail selection. I tried two new items on the menu and S. City Kitchen Buckhead prepared these rustic seasonal items with gusto. My guest raved about their southern plates and I ended up buying gift cards as holiday appreciation gifts.
My favorite neighborhood relax dinning location.
The wife and I visited the highly touted South City Kitchen for our anniversary dinner on 12/14/19. The ambience of the place is really nice, and the look of the restaurant is very modern and appealing. Upon arrival, we were seated immediately at a quiet table, which I was thankful for. Our server, wish I remembered her name, was absolutely fantastic with her drink recommendations and overall attentiveness. I had a signature Old Fashioned, which was unique bc of the absinthe. Very good! On to the food. For appetizers, my wife had the Beet Salad, which she mentioned was too "beety," with different kinds of beets, a beet vinaigrette, and beet puree on the bottom. It was good, and very different, but a bit one note. I had the She Crab soup, which I would put on par with other She Crab soups I've had around town. The Sherry is a nice finishing touch. For Entrees, my wife ordered the Trout, which was highly recommended in the reviews we read. The sweet potato and brussels hash was the highlight of the dish, as her Trout was a little bit on the dry side. The dish overall was very flavorfull, but a bit dry. Needs some finishing sauce to bring it all together. My entrée was the Ribeye. I am a steak nut and usually go for the beef, but must not have read the menu sufficiently. The meat itself was a nice, if thinly cut, and perfectly Medium Rare. But what I did not like at all was the steak sauce that coated the steak, and tasted like A1. I don't mind A1, but I don't want a high dollar steak that needs a steak sauce, but that's probably my mistake for not reading more closely. The sides, broccolini and potato gratin were both very good. We finished our dinner with a couple of irish coffees that were also well made. The highlight of the evening was our service, though. Our server, again I wish I remembered her name, recommended drinks for us, recommended apps and mains (I did not listen!!), and was "johnny on the spot" for us all evening.
Second time here and just as good as the first time! Great cocktails, trout & fried chicken were delicious!
Our waiter was a little pushy. Felt that he was trying to turn the table, but the service good and food excellent. Great for a gathering of friends or colleagues.
Interesting new items on the menu, excellent service.
Everything was great the only critique I have is that we had to return our dishware a few times because it was dirty.
Sandwich and chips were over cooked, crab cake was blah, the fried green tomatoes were very good and the cappuccino was excellent. The noise level was terrible and Maidre d was unfriendly and curt.
Great location and quiet enough for a business lunch conversation.
This was our first time at the SCKB location and it did not disappoint. The occasion was an end of Thanksgiving week family gathering before everyone scattered. The ambiance and food were superb. It was wonderful that the kitchen could accommodate our various dietary needs (vegetarian, pescatarian). And that bread basket with those to-die-for biscuits and cornbread was scrumptious! On top of all this, we had a fantastic waiter in Michael. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and attentive.
As always great food along with great service. This was our first time having brunch and we arrived earlier than our reservation as we were very hungry and we were seated immediately. I had the chicken and pecan waffles and they were delicious. We go to Buckhead just to ear at this restaurant!
