Really fresh, high quality tasty food. Great service, friendly, fast. Great for lunch, haven't tried for dinner.

Ambiance was great, service was great but the food was mediocre at best. I ordered the mahi mahi fish tacos and though there was plenty of food it had absolutely no flavor...I mean none AND the fish was terribly dried out. If the food were better this would be the perfect spot for business meals, after dinner drinks and dinner morning, noon and night.

I found this visit to the restaurant very relaxing, atmosphere was great, hood for business conversation, good service and food came to our table at very reasonable pace. A good experience, will comeback to this restaurant and will most likely recommend.

There was no problem with our service at all. The food was just not good and such a disappointment. We ordered buffalo egg rolls which were really salty and I love salt! We also ordered the guacamole and it was also very salty. We then split a salad and there was barely any dressing on the salad and just didn’t it seem as fresh as it should be.

The hostess at the front was extremely rude when I missed my open table reservation by 15 minutes. She embarrassed me in front of a new business prospect. We were late because he had to push back and I was in an uber multi-tasking to let others know and didn't have a chance to call the restaurant... They were virtually empty ANYWAY. So she embarrassed me, embarrassed him (b/c he knew it was on him)... and we both looked at each other like is this for real? ONE JOB as a hostess, HOST.

I leave reviews everywhere I go, and 8/10 are positive, in today's day with so much competition for consumers' share of wallet and attention span, it's imperative to deliver on the basics, customer service being the minimum.

Our waiter was great. The only other aside is I asked in my open table reservation for a quieter area as this waas a business social meeting, she sat us at a booth in the HEART of the bar aisle and mossesed us through a a wave of tipsy people when she could have easily walked us around. The crowd was even like WTF as our work bags were bumping into them... just bizare. The annoying part was other guests were seating in quiet areas so it came across as spiting us for wasting her time. Both of us wanted to leave. Super awkward.

Terrible food.

Went to meet an old colleague for dinner on a Thursday evening. There were three business groups there which made the place loud and crowded but we were seated at the quieter end so we could hear each other without raising our voices. We both had a blackened salmon salad and red wine and both were excellent. The service was very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. I'll be back.

Waited 20+ minutes to even order, then waited over 20 min again for food. A manager came out to tell us our food would be out shortly given they knew it was taking a long time.

South Branch is all around mediocre. It has underwhelming food for a high price tag ($11 for guacamole that was all mixed in with mayo and cream...). The location is great--right downtown--but that means it's loud and crowded with business happy hours and work events.

Probably good for a business event, but I would never recommend it for personal dining.

Love the salmon salad there, and the server was very helpful in assisting us in our choices. It gets pretty crowded around lunch time and noisy, but the food is really above average and in summer it is a fun outdoor bar scene as well.

Lively venue, but not so loud that you have to shout to have a conversation. Great beer menu, it would be nice if they had more options on tap, but I was glad to see a menu that wasn't 90% full of IPAs. A good range of food options, but really, you come here for the beer, views, and location. Great place for an after-work dinner gathering.

South Branch is a great choice for lunch, dates, happy hour, or events- it can play to many different crowds. The food is solid and the atmosphere is lively. The outdoor section on the water is tough to beat. I've had nothing but good visits.

I had two appetizers, the humus tray and chips. Service was prompt, however the waiter was not very personable. Gabrielle the manager was very friendly and I enjoyed my conversation with her. I'd come back.

Fabulous service and food. We were there for our anniversary and everyone greeted us with a very friendy greeting. The waiter took our picture and gave it to us in a personalized folder. Our menu was headlined with "Happy Anniversary" The food was amazing and the complimentary dessert incredible. We were able to leave our car with the valet after dinner and picked it up after the show. Lovely experience. Thanks Morton's and staff ❤

Pretty good place for a business lunch. Nice view of the river. Our tomato basil soup lacked basil flavor and was a little rich. My turkey burger, while good, was constructed in such a way that it constantly fell apart. So knife and fork were employed. Overall, not bad and I will probably return.

This was my first time at South Branch. I had reservations for 2 for a business lunch. I have never been so rushed at a restaurant! From the time I arrived to the time I left, we were asked about 12 times if everything was OK, were we ready to sign the bill, did we have any questions, can we get something else for you, etc. We weren't even offered dessert. There was no line at the door so there was no reason for us to be rushed out of the restaurant. By the time I WAS ready to sign the check, I was thoroughly offended. I ordered the shrimp salad special and requested more romaine lettuce ; I didn't complain while I was there since I was already embarrassed; the restaurant was my choice.
