We visited Sotta Sopra as part of Restaurant Week. Portions were not huge, but every course was delicious!
Outstanding polenta appetizer, recommended by our waitress (we asked). Carbonara was perfect. My guest had never been to Sotto Sopra, so I have a new and very loyal friend.
Best restaurant week meal I ever had. All 3 courses were excellent. Goat cheese salad, beet capresse, squid ink pasta, salmon, tiramisu and creme brulee again were all excellent.

Outstanding date night for my wife and I taking advantage of Baltimore Restaurant Week. The service was impeccable (kudos to Jose) and the food was absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic Italian!
Best spot for Baltimore restaurant week! So many diverse options and they're all done so well- lamb meatball appetizers, branzino, veal saltimbocca entrees were among our favorites.
The food and service were outstanding. It was restaurant week and we chose Sotta Sopra because of the fantastic menu. The beet salad and lamb meatball dishes for appetizers were great. Our main courses were branzino and gnocchi bolognase. Desserts were excellent. We are looking forward to our next dinner at Sotta Sopra.
We were looking for a restaurant we’ve never been to for Restaurant Week and a friend recommended Sotto Sopra. Our waiter Lindsay was AMAZING!! Everything about our experience was fantastic. I can’t wait to go back!

Sotto Sopra never disappoints, and Restaurant Week allows this restaurant to outshine most others. Unlike many menus during Restaurant Week, Sotto Sopra’s is extensive. The Beet Caprese, Banzino entré and the Hazelnut Mouse were, respectively, very good, good, and drop-dead-I’m-in-Heaven sublime. The place is busy, lively; reservations just about always needed, even for a bar seat. One of my favorite restaurants in Baltimore.

Everything was wonderful, The food superb- risotto with seafood and lasagna, beet & goat cheese salads and chocolate pistachio crepe brûlée & apple tart - all excellent.
We thought our meals did not match previous experiences at the restaurant. Perhaps it was because we had just returned from dining experiences in Rome or perhaps Sotto Sopra has a new chef. We were disappointed with the fried artichoke appetizer and the saltimbocca was unattractively draped over a mound of mashed potatoes. The spinach ravioli was tender and flavorful. All in all, a mixed experience.
The back dining room provided the perfect spot for a reunion with old friends. The Saturday lunch menu provided good selections and the service was very good. We will definitely return. The risotto and tiramisu were especially enjoyed.
